Dhanvanthari Shatkam

(DHanvanthari is a minor Avathara of Lord Vishnu , who came out the ocean of milk with the pot of nectar. He is a doctor and holds in his hand leeches. When you are sick, praying him would help) 

1.Jaladha mechaka   medhura vigraha,
Jalaja  neelaaya thamala  lochana,
Jana parithrana  palana lolupa,
Jaya Jaya  Hare Dhanvanthare  Jaya

1.Hail , hail, Dhanvanthari , hail,
Whose dark blue   form came up from the  ocean,
Who has  fish like  blue   eyes,
And who is busy   in  protecting people.

2.Koti soorya   prabhavalayojjwala,
KOka pataloshtadhara mandala  ,
KOpa   mohadhigaswabhavaamala,
Komala hare  Dhanvanthare  jaya

2,Hail  Oh Dhanvanthari , Oh pretty lord Vishnu,
Who has  luster  equal to crores  of Suns,
Who has a  face with dark pink lips,
And who is pure one who does not have anger  or passion.

3.SAnkha chakra Gadhangadha vahaka,
Shambhu   dhathru  sudhamadhi vanditha,
SArma dhayaka  devasura  Gana,
Samsitha   hare  dhanvanthare  jaya

3,.Hail Dhanvantari, Oh Praiseworthy Lord Vishnu,
Who holds , the conch, the  wheel , mace and bracelet,
Who is saluted by Lord Shiva , Brahma    and Sudhama,
And who grants   happiness   to the group of Devas.

4.Roga nasaka. Vignnapapadhi ka-
Rodhaka, drutha peeyusha kumbhaka ,
Roma harsha  vijaya kadhathmaka ,
Rochaka   hare  . Dhanvanthare  jaya

4.Hail Dhanvanthari  Oh   enlightening  Lord Vishnu,
Who destroys sickness , who  pours   water over,
Road blocks and sins , Who holds  the pot of nectar,
Who  grants horripilating victory  and who puts an end to suffering.

5.Vimnala peethambara , deeptha vigraha,
Visvamara yaso mandalaa , sasvathaa,
Vithatha roga  vidamba dhavanala,
Vijitha   sasthrava  , Dhanvanthare  Jaya.

5.Hail Dhanvanthari , who  is an expert on sastras,
Who wears pure  yellow silk, who has a  shining form,
Who has wonderful fame , who is permanent,
And who like forest fire controls   spreading disease.

6.Jaya jaya jalukayudha Mohana,
Jaya  jaya jana thrana paarayanaa,
Jaya jaya Dheena vathsala kesava,
Jaya jaya  hare, Dhanvanthare  jaya.

6.,Hail hail pretty one who has the weapon of leech,
Hail hail  Who is busy in getting  people cured,
Hail hail Kesava who is liked by miserable  people,
Hail hail oh Hari, Hail Oh Dhanvanthari
