 ஓரு தரம் சரவணபவா என்று சொல்பவர்

உளதினில் நினைத்த எல்லாம்
உடனேகை கூடுமென வேதங்கள் மொழியுதே;

Oru tharam  SAravana BHavaa  yendru  cholbavar ,

Ulathinil    ninaitha   yellam

Udane  Kai koodumena   Vedangal  Mozhiyuhe

The Vedas  are telling   that, to the person,

Who tells  SArvanabhava  once  , all that he thinks,

In his mind  would immediately be received by him.

உண்மை அறிவான பொருளே!
பரிவாகவே அநந்தந் தரம் சரவண
பவாவென்று நான் சொல்லியும்,
பாங்குமிகு காங்கேயா! அடியனேன்
எண்ணியது பலியாதிருப்ப(து) ஏனோ?

Unmai  arivaana  Param porule  ,

Parivaagave   anantha  tharam  Sarvana-

Bhavavenru   naan cholliyum  ,

Pangu migu  Gangeya  , Adiyenin,

Yenniyathu   baliyathiruppathu   Yeno

Oh greatly pretty son of ganges  ,

Oh God who is the true  knowledge ,

Though with faith  I chanted  endlessly ,

Saravanabhava,Why  is it that what  I think is not realised

குருபரா! முருகையா! கந்தா! கடம்பா!
சொல் குமரா! குகா! சண்முகா!

Guruparaa, Murugayyaa , Kandhaa , Kadambaa ,

Chol  Kumaraa, Guhaa  , Shanmukha  nathaa

Please tell , Oh  divine teacher, Oh Lord Muruga  , Oh Skandhaa , Oh Kadhmbaa ,

Oh Kumaraa , Oh Guhaa, Oh Lord  Shanmukhaa

கோலா கலா! வெற்றி வேலா! எனக்கருள்
கொடுத்(து)ஆள்வை முத்தையனே!

Kolahalaa, Vethri vela  , yenakku  arul,

KOduthu, Aalvai  Muthayyane

Oh Lord who is exhuberant  , Oh Victorious  Vela  ,

Grant me your  blessings and rule over me , Oh Muthayya

மருமலர்க் குழலழக தேவகுஞ்சரி, வள்ளி

மணவாளனே! என் துணைவனே!

When increasing Phelgum and thick sputum  presses me,

And  blocks  my   heart ,

When my toungue becomes unsteady ,

I am not sure whether  my mind would call you,

I am calling you now so that I would  loudly call you then,

OH Hari Narayana  please  rule  over me.

ஐம்பொறியும் கரணங்களும் வாயுவும்
ஆடி அடங்கிடும் போது – எந்தன்
ஆவி பிரிந்திடும்போது – மனம்
எண்ணிடுமோ தெரியாது – இன்று

ஒவென்று நின்றழும்போது – உயிர்

Brahaspathir uvacha

Braghaspathi said

नमॊहरायदॆवायमहामायायशूलिनॆ ।
तापसायमहॆशायतत्वज्ञानप्रदायिनॆ ॥ १

Namo haraya   devaya  , mahaa mayaya sooline,

Thapasaya   mahhesaya   thathwa  jnana  pradhayine

Salutation to the God who destroys  , one who is a great illusion and holds a spear,

One who  does Thapas  , the greatest  God   and  one who teaches us knowledge of philosophy.

नमॊमौञ्जायशुभ्रायनमःकारुण्यमूर्तयॆ ।
नमॊदॆवादिदॆवायनमॊवॆदान्तवॆदिनॆ ॥ २

Namo mounjaya  subrayanam , karunya  moorthaye ,

Namo devadhi   devaya  , namo  Vedantha  vedhine.

Salutations to one who wears the sacred thread, one who is pure and merciful one,

Salutation to the God of Gods and salutations to the one who knows the philosophy of Vedas.

नमःपरायरुद्रायसुपारायनमॊनम्ः ।
विश्वमूर्तॆमहॆशायविश्वाधारायतॆनमः ॥ ३

Nama paraya  rudraraya  suparayana namo nama,

Viswa moorthi   mahesaya viswa aadharayathe  nama.

Salutation to the divine angry god   and salutations to one  who is well read,

Salutation  to the universal form  of greatest god  and one who is  worshipped by universe.

नमॊभक्तभवच्छॆदकारणायामलात्मनॆ ।
कालायकालकालायकालातीतायतॆनमः ॥ ४

Namo bhaktha avachedhana karanaya   amalathmane ,

Kaalaya  , kala Kaalaya  , kalatheethaya  they nama

Salutation to the reason of detached mind of devotees  and  the pure soul,

Salutation to the time, the killer  of death and one who is beyond death.

जितॆन्द्रियायनित्यायजितक्रॊधायतॆनमः ।
नमःपाशाण्डभाङ्गायनमःपापहरायतॆ ॥ ५

Jithendraaya , nithyaaya  jitha krodhaya  they nama,

Nama  Pasanda bhangaaya , nama  papa haraye  they.

Salutation to  the  victor over sense organs, God who is forever  and one who has won  over anger  ,

Salutations to one who swallowed poison  , salutations   to One who destroys sin.

नमःपर्वतराजॆन्द्रकन्यकापतयॆनमः ।
यॊगानन्दाययॊगाययॊगिनांपतयॆनमः॥ ६

Nama  Parvatha  Rajendra Kanyaka pathaye  nama  ,

Yoganandaaya  Yogaaya   yoginaam pathaye  nama.

Salutations  to the husband of daughter  of king of  mountain,

Salutations to one  who gets joy  out of yoga, one who is Yoga   and one who is lord of Yoga.

प्राणायामपराणांतुप्राणरक्षायतॆनमः ।
मूलाधारॆप्रविष्टायमूलदीपायतॆनमः ॥ ७

Praanaya  paraanaam thu Prana  Rakshaaya the  nama,

Moolaadhare  Pravishtaaya  moola deepaya they nama

Salutations to  the divine God of souls who protects the souls,

Salutations to God who is in Mooladhara who adds luster to it  just like a  a lamp

नाभिकन्डॆप्रविष्टायनमःहृद्दॆशवर्तिनॆ ।
सच्चिदानन्दपूर्णायनमःसाक्षात्परात्मनॆ ॥ ८

Naabhi kande  pravishtaaya nama hrudhesa varthine

Sachidhanana poornaaya nama saakshath paramathmane

Salutations to God who is near the belly button  and who  who is in our heart,

Salutations to the God who is  the  complete divine joy  and is  the real divine soul

नमःशिवायाद्भुतविग्रहायतॆ
नमःशिवायाद्भुतविक्रमायतॆ ।
नमःशिवायाखिलनायकायतॆ
नमःशिवायामृतहॆतवॆनमः ॥ ९

Nama shivaya adbutha vigrahaaya they,

Nama shivaya  adbutha  vikramaaya  they,

Nama Shivaya Akhila Nayakaya  they,

Nama Shivaya Amrutha  hethave nama

Salutations to shiva Your form is wonderful

Salutations to Shiva , You have wonderful  valour,

Salutations to Shiva    , you  are leader of all,

Salutations to Shiva  who is the cause  of Nectar

नमःशिवायसॊमायसुपुत्रायत्रिशूलिनॆ ।
प्रधानपुरुषॆशायसृष्टिस्तिथ्यन्तहॆतवॆ ॥ १०

Nama Shivaya  Somaya suputhraaya trisooline

Pradhaana   purushesaaya  SRishti sthithya antha hethave

Salutations to Shiva  who is the moon  who has great son   and who has a trident,

Who is the important God  of Lord Vishnu and the  one who performs creation , upkeep and destruction

सर्वज्ञायवरॆण्यायशङ्खरायाऽर्तिहारिणॆ ।
नमॊवॆदान्तवॆद्यायचिन्मात्रायमहात्मनॆ ॥ ११

SArvajnaaya, varenyaaya sankaraya  aarthi  haarine,

Namo Vedantha Vedaaya chin maathraaya  Mahathmane

Oh Lord who knows all , who is the chosen one  , who is Lord Sankara, who is remover  of suffering,

Salutations to  the one within a  divine second   understands Vedanthas and is  very great one

दॆवदॆवायदॆवायनमऒविश्वॆश्वराय च ।
ऋतंसत्यंपरंब्रह्मपुरुषंकृष्णपिङ्गलम् ॥ १२

Deva devaya devaya  namo visweswaraya  cha ,

Ritham sathyam para brahma purusham Krishna  pingalam

Salutation to the God  of Gods , the God   as well as the Lord of universe

Who exists   as the formless truth called divine Brahman and as  the creator who is visible   as well as invisible

उद्वरॆतम्विरूपाक्षंविश्वरूपंनमाम्यहम् ।
विश्वंविश्वाधिकंरुद्रंविश्वमूर्तिंवृषध्वजम् ॥ १३

Udhvartham Virupaksham  viswa roopam namamyaham,

Viswa viswadhikam  rudram  viswa moorthir vrishabhadwajam

I salute the one who increases , who has divere eyes and has a  most super form,

Who  is Rudra . who is  greater   than Universe , God of the universe  and has a flag of the bull.

नमामिसर्वविज्ञानंहृदयाकाशमध्यगम् ।
चन्द्रःसूर्यस्तथॆन्द्रशचवह्निश्चयमसंज्ञितः ॥ १४

Namami  sarva vijnanam   hrudayakasa  madhyagam,

Chandra     soorya sthandrasca vahnischa yama   samjnitha

I salute him who   has all knowledge  in the middle of the sky  of the heart,

Which is conceived(indicated)  by Chandra , Surya, Indra    and agni

निऋतिर्वरॆणॊवायुर्धन्डॊरुद्रसंज्ञितः ।
स्थूलमूर्तिमहॆशस्यतयाव्याप्तमिदंजगत् ॥ १५

Niryathir  varuno vayur dhando Rudra   samjiatha ,

Sthoola moorthi   mahesasya thvayaa  vyapthamidham jagath

Though  indicated by  name Niryathi, Varuna , Vayu, Khubera and Rudra ,

The  towering  form is that  of Lord Shiva, who is spread throughout the universe

यस्यप्रसादलॆशॆनदॆवदॆवात्ममागतः ।
तंनमामिमहॆशानंसर्वज्ञमपराजितम् ॥ १६

Yasya prasadalesena  deva devathma magatha,

Tham namami mahesaanaam  sarvajnam aparajjitham

Though all the   other devas have come   with minute blessings

I salute  Lord Shiva    who is all knowing     and  undefeatable

नमॊदिग्वाससॆतुभ्यमम्बिकापतयॆनमः ।
उमायाःपतयॆतुभ्यंईशानायनमॊनमः ॥ १७

Namo dig vasa sethubhyaam, ambika pathaye  nama,

Umaayaa  pathaye thubhyam eesaanaaya  namo nama

Salutation to the God who lives   in a direction, Salutation to the consort  of Ambika  ,

Salutation and salutation to  Eeaana  who is  the consort  of Uma

नमॊनमॊनमस्तुभ्यंपुनर्भूयॊनमॊनमः ।
ॐकारान्तायसूक्ष्मायमायातीतायतॆनमः॥ १८

Namo namo  namasthubhyam  punar  bhooyo  namo nama ,

Omkaranthaaya sookshmaaya Mayaa atheethaaya  they nama

I salute , salute and salute you and again and gain salute you,

Oh God who ends in the sound Om , who is very minute and is beyond illusion,  I salute you

नमॊनमःकारणाकारणाय तॆ
नमॊ नमः मङ्गलमङ्गलात्मनॆ ।
नमॊ नमॊ वॆदविदां मनीषीणां
उपासनीयाय नमॊ नमॊ नमः ॥ १९

Namo nama  karanaa karaanaya   they,

Namo nama mangala mangalaathmane ,

Namo namo  veda vidhaa, maneeshinaam ,

Upasaneeyaya   namo namo nama

Salutaions and salutationto to him  who is the cause and not the cause,

Salutations and salutations to the auspicious one and auspicious  soul.

Salutations   and salutations to   the expert among those  who know the Vedas

सूतउवाच –

Sutha   told

य इदंपठतॆनित्यंस्तॊत्रम्भक्त्यासुसंयतः ।
तस्यमुक्तिःकरस्थस्यच्छंकरप्रियकारणात् ॥ १

Ya idham padathe nithyam  stotram  bakthyaa susamyatha,

THasya  mukthi  karasthasya sankara  priya karaanath

If one reads this prayer daily   with devotion    and purity,

Then due  the love of Lord Shiva,  his salvation would be assured

विध्यार्थीलभतॆविध्यांविवाहार्थीगृहीभवॆत् ।
वैराग्यकामॊलभतॆवैराग्यंभवतारकम् ॥ २

Vidht yarthi labathe  Vidhyaa , vivaharthi   grahee   bhveth.

Vairagya   kamo labathe   vairagyam  bhava tharakam

He who desires knowledge   would get knowledge,

He   who wants to get married  would become a householder

Those who desire detachment will get detachment,

By the conquest of   the stars  and controlling them

तस्मद्दिनॆदिनॆयूयंइदंस्तॊत्रम्समाहितः ।
पठन्तुभवनाशार्थंइदंहिभवनाशनम् ॥ ३

Thasmad  dhina dhine  yooyam idham   stotra  samahitha,

Padanthu   bhava   nasartham  idham hi bhava  nasanam.

So if  this prayer      is daily   read by  you all

For destruction of Karma load earned by you  

Be convinced that your   Karma   would be destoyed

Ayiram navulla ananthanaalum  , Cholla aakaathu aval perumaikalai

Athisayamaam intha akhiladeswari  ,  AAthi vasam cheyyum  naadethu  ,

Cheerudan meviya   chothanikarai devi un tiruvadi saranam.

There is a temple in this earth  and even the  thousand   tounged ,

Adhi Sesha cannot describe   the greatness  of the goddess  who rules there ,

In which place  does This Goddess  who rules  the universe live?

Oh Goddess of Chothanikkara  who with fame lives there , I surrender to your divine feet.

2,Ambikai un chenthamarai kan   adiyenil patta thamathameno ,

Ambuja lochani , shambhuvin nayagi , lambodharanin  thaaye  nee,

Sankari unnudaya mainthanin  kuraikal  chathum  cheviyil  yera villayo,

Cheerudan meviya   chothanikarai devi un tiruvadi saranam.

Oh mother Goddess, Why this delay for your lotus eyes   to fall on me,

Oh lotus eyed Goddess ., the consort of Shiva, the mother of big paunched  Ganesa,

Oh Sankari , Did  not all the problems of your   son , fall  in your ears  ,

Oh Goddess of Chothanikkara  who with fame lives there , I surrender to your divine feet.

3.Sambhavi unnudaya  sameepyam  vara  chathrum thamatham   cheyyathe  ,

Sarupyathudan  sayujyathayum  thavaraamal  thanthiduvaai,

Thai thanthai athra  chei  aagiya  naan  neeye thunai  yendru  yenniduven,

Cheerudan meviya   chothanikarai devi un tiruvadi saranam.

Oh Consort  of Shambhu  , do not make any delay  in giving  your nearness  to me,

Without failing   show me  your form , you please grant us salvation,

I , who am a baby  without parents, Would think that  you are my only help,

Oh Goddess of Chothanikkara  who with fame lives there , I surrender to your divine feet.

4.Paarinil undhanai  poal  oru deivam , parameswariye   verillai,

Pasiyaamal yendrum  padiyalanthidum , saubhagyathayum nee   alippai,

Mudivinil   unnudaya   mukthi padha then moodanaagilum  thanthiduvai.

Cheerudan meviya   chothanikarai devi un tiruvadi saranam.

Oh divine Goddess , in this world  , there is no other  God like you,

You  keep me  free from hunger  by giving food, please  also give me  prosperity

Even though I am a fool , at the end  please give me your honey like  salvation,

Oh Goddess of Chothanikkara  who with fame lives there , I surrender to your divine feet.

5,Pala   durithangal cheithathanaale  , paarinil vandhu  piranthen naan,

Pala kadal thaandi  un paadha kamalathai  cheravum naan vazhi ariyene,

Ammaye  unnudaya  punnya   darisanam  paapi yenakku  kai varumaa?

Cheerudan meviya   chothanikarai devi un tiruvadi saranam.

Due to having   done  very  many bad acts , I  was born in this  world,

I do not know  the way to reach your lotus like   feet after  crossing   several  oceans,

Oh Mother  , when will this sinner   get to see your divine   form?

Oh Goddess of Chothanikkara  who with fame lives there , I surrender to your divine feet.

6.Thangathinaale thaazhi kudamum, Thamirathile  mel purayum,

Chithuliyaadiya  sri  kovilagam , chuthrum deepa   sthambathudan,

Chuthumbalamum  seeveligalum   chinthithaale  thunbamillai.

Cheerudan meviya   chothanikarai devi un tiruvadi saranam.

The golden pot  at the top of the temple, the roof  made out of  copper,

The  extremely well made  sanctum , surrounded by   pillars   of lamp,

The corridor round the temple   and the divine procession,if  thought over , no sorrow would be there,

Oh Goddess of Chothanikkara  who with fame lives there , I surrender to your divine feet.

7.Vajrathinaale mani magudam kanden  , vaidoorythil  kireedam kanden,

Uchithamakave   pachaigal izhaitha, swarnabharanam naan kanden,

Piramathi poale   mathi mukham kanden , pinnale jadai   azhagai  kanden,

Cheerudan meviya   chothanikarai devi un tiruvadi saranam.

I saw  her decorated by diamond  and crown decorated by cat’s eye ,

I saw her   golden ornaments which were  properly decorated  by emeralds,

I saw   her face  which was  like moon,   and I also saw the beauty of her braid hanging  at her back,

Oh Goddess of Chothanikkara  who with fame lives there , I surrender to your divine feet.

8.Pala vidha aabaranathudan  , mangalya kumizhai   kanden,

Manjula un thanga malar karam  kankanam anivathai naan kanden,

Oh pretty Goddess  I saw your  protective hands wearing  bangles,

And I saw   you   wearing gem studded  rings on fingers of both hands   very easily,

Muthrum thurantha munivar  mayangum  mohana punnagai naan kanden,

I saw her waist belt over her sari tied over   her waist,

I saw her very pretty smile  which bewitches even sages who have  left everything.

And I saw  on her  very thin waist her dress lying like  earth,

Oh Goddess of Chothanikkara  who with fame lives there , I surrender to your divine feet.

10.Moondradi   alantha mura hari   sodhari, Mukthi alikkum un padamgalai,

Cheerudan  adiyanin   sirasil vaithu   neraai   un padham  thanthiduvai,

Adi muthal mudi varai  adiyen  unthanai   aka  kannaal kanden,

Cheerudan meviya   chothanikarai devi un tiruvadi saranam.

Oh sister of killer of Mura  who measured   three feet, please keep ,

Your feet which grants salvation on my head  and give me salvation.

And Oh Goddess  from head to foot I saw you through my inner eye  ,

Oh Goddess of Chothanikkara  who with fame lives there , I surrender to your divine feet.

11.OOrum sathamillai  , naadum sathamillai  , uthaar uravinar   sathamillai,

Uyirum sathamilli , udalum sathamiillai , Un arul ondre pothum amma,

Udalai vittu   uyir uyyum velayil , un karunai thaan  venumammaa ,

Our place of origin is not permanent, our  country is not permanent ,Friends and relatives are not permanent,

Soul is not permanent , body is not permanent, All   that  i need is your blessing,

When the soul  is leaving the body , I need   only your mercy,

Guruvayurappa Namaskaram (Tamil Bhajan)

Seventy  eight  years  back  my parents  gave me to Guruvayurappan(There is a system  , where parents leave the child  in the temple and walk back and later some one goes and buys  back  the child back from the temple-Nada Thallal  in Malayalam)  and today I am putting before a stotra  addressed to the lord  sent by a friend of mine for translation. Guruvayurappa  , ende  Guruvayurappa .I am also  giving a  very rare  painting  of Lord Guruvayurappan which we worship in our home .

(A friend of mine  called  A.V.Sundaram   who lives in Chembur  , Mumbai   went through  the papers  left by his  uncle who has attained  the lotus   feet of Guruvayurappan and located  this prayer   written  down by him. He has send it to me along with several other divine material   for translating them in  to english . I am giving the photo of the manuscript  of the stotra  written by   uncle of my friend Sundaram  With tears of devotion to my  Guruvayurappan   for giving  a chance    to serve his  feet , I did it just now . 1.Kovil munne koodi nindru , kodi janmam paapam theera,
Guruvayurappa Namaskaram cheikindrom

Assembling before your temple , for getting the sins of crores of births ,
Oh Lord of Gururyvayur , we are saluting you.

2.Thirumeni darisanam nirmalyamakave kandu ,
Giridhara unnai Namaskaram cheikindrom.

After seeing your divine body , with the decorations of previous day ,
Oh Lord who lifted the mountain , we are saluting you.

3. Yennai snanam  cheithu  Vaazhai pazhathode nirkkum,

Kannan un padhathil  Namakaram cheikindrom

You   after  taking oil bath and are  standing with a banana friuit  in hand,

Oh kanna  , we are    saluting at   your feet

4.Chandhana kaappu kazhathi thailam poosi kondu nirkkum,
Nanda gopalane , Namaskaram cheikindrom

Seeing you stand after removing the sandal decorations , with oil applied all over you ,
Oh Gopala son of Nanda , we are saluting you

5.Kudam kudamaaka paalai abhishekam cheyyum veLai,
Govindane unnai namaskaram cheikindrom

When you are anointed in pots and pots of milk,
Oh Govinda , we are saluting you

6.Kondai mayil peeli minna , manjal pattu katti kondu,
Kuzhal oothum Krishna , Unnai namaskaram cheikindrom.

With the peacock feather adorning your g hair shine , with you wearing yellow silk,
Oh Krishna who plays the flute , we are saluting you.

7.Thechi mandhaaram thulasi , thamari poo malai charthi ,
Achuthane unnai Namaskaram cheikindrom,

When they make you wear garlands of flowers of Thechi, Mandhara, Thulasi and lotus flower,
Oh Achyutha , we are saluting you

8.Divya namam choli kondu seevliyil chuthi vanthu ,
Sridhara unnai namaskaram cheikindrom

Chanting your divine names and circling along with you during Sribali(Seeveli)\
Oh Sridhara , we are saluting you

9.Theeraa vinai theerthu vaithu korum varam alithudum,
Narayana , unnai Namaskaram cheikindrom

Oh Narayana, who destroys all our irremovable Karma and grants us
All boons that we want, we are saluting you

1)உக்ர ப்ரதாப, உன்மத்த தேக சத்ய ஸ்வரூபி பகவன் அய்யன் , அய்யப்ப ஸ்வாமியே சரணம் அய்யப்பா

Ugra prathapa  , unmatha   deha  , sathya  swaroopi , bhagawan  Ayyan Ayyappa  SWamiye   Saranam Ayyappa

Ferocious, famous   with , exhuberant   body , who is the  real form of God  , our Lord   who is God Ayyappa  , I surrender  Ayyappa

2)என் குல தெய்வமாம், வன் புலி வாகனன் செம்பறை கோட்டத்து ஐய்யன் .....அய்யன் , அய்யப்ப ஸ்வாமியே சரணம் அய்யப்பா

Yengal kula deivamaam  , van puli  vaahanan , chembarai kottathu  Ayyappan, Ayyanm , Ayyappa swamiye   Saranam    ayyappa

The Ayyappa  of Chembarai Kottam who   is our family God  and who  rides  on  a  huge tiger , our Lord   who is God Ayyappa  , I surrender  Ayyappa

3)நீலாம்பரதாரி, நித்ய-ப்ரஹ்மச்சாரி பம்பா தீரவிஹாரி.....அய்யன் , அய்யப்ப ஸ்வாமியே சரணம் அய்யப்பா

Neelambaradaari, NIthya  Brahmachari  , Pamba theera  vihari  -Ayyan  Ayyappa Swamiye   Saranam Ayyapppa

He who wears  blue silk , who is perennially unmarried  and who roams  on the bank of Pamba  , our Lord   who is God Ayyappa  , I surrender  Ayyappa

4)சபரிவர பீடாதிப ! உபரி சந்தான தாயகா , சகல புவன பூஜிதா ......அய்யன் , அய்யப்ப ஸ்வாமியே சரணம் அய்யப்பா.

Sabari vara  Peedathipa, upari santhana  dhayaka, sakala  bhuvana  poojithaa  ...Ayyan , Ayyappa swamiye  SAranam Ayyappa

The  one who occupies  the divine  temple at Sabari , who grants us  lot of children and who is worshipped  by  the entire  universe   , our Lord   who is God Ayyappa  , I surrender  Ayyappa

5)ஸனகாதி பூஜிதன், அணிமாதி சித்திதன் சுரிகாயுத தரன்.....அய்யன் , அய்யப்ப ஸ்வாமியே சரணம் அய்யப்பா

SAnakaadhi poojithan, Animadhi   sidhithan , Churikayudha  karan,  ... Ayyan , Ayyappa Swamiye  saranam  Ayyappa

He who is worshipped by sages  like Sanaka, He who can give occult powers like Anima and one who holds a throw knife in his hand... , our Lord   who is God Ayyappa  , I surrender  Ayyappa

6)உத்ர நக்ஷத்ர ஜாதன் சித்ர மோஹன ரூபன் அகஸ்த்யாதி முனி பூஜிதன்.....அய்யன் , அய்யப்ப ஸ்வாமியே சரணம் அய்யப்பா.

Uthra  Nakshatra  jaathan , Chithra mohana roopan  , Agastrhyaadhi   muni poojithan.... Ayyan, Ayyappa Swamiye   saranam  Ayyappa

He whose birth star is Uthram , Who has variety of  pretty forms , He who is worshipped  by Agasthya   and other Rishis   , our Lord   who is God Ayyappa  , I surrender  Ayyappa

7)ஆனை முக சோதரன் ஆரியங்கா(வு) ஐயன் ஆக்ஞா பீட வாசி......அய்யன் , அய்யப்ப ஸ்வாமியே சரணம் அய்யப்பா.

AAna  Mukha sodharan  , AAriyankavu  Ayyan, AAjnaa peedaa  Vasi  ,..  Ayyan , Ayyappa SWamiye   sarnam Ayyappa

Brother  of elephant faced God, the Lord of Aaryankavu temple, One who lives in the temple  of order .  our Lord   who is God Ayyappa  , I surrender  Ayyappa

8)பஞ்ச-கிரி வாசனே! பஞ்ச-கவ்யாபிஷேகனே பஞ்ச பாப விதூரனே பாஹிமாம் பாஹிமாம் ......அய்யன் , அய்யப்ப ஸ்வாமியே சரணம் அய்யப்பா

8.Pancha   Gri vasane  pancha kavyabhishekane  , pancha papa vidhoorane, pahi maam , paha maam  -Ayyan Ayyappa Swamiye  Saranam Ayyappa

Oh Lord   who lives on   five mountains, who is anointed with  Pancha Gavya   and who drives away   five types of sins, our Lord   who is God Ayyappa  , I surrender  Ayyappa

10)ஒம்காரமான பொருள் , ஓதுமறையான மணி- ஹ்ரீங்கார மந்திர ஸ்வரூபி பகவான் ......அய்யன் , அய்யப்ப ஸ்வாமியே சரணம் அய்யப்பா

Omkaramana porul  , othu marayaana  mani  , hreemkara  manthra  swaroopi bhagwan-Ayyan Ayyappa Swamiye  Saranam Ayyappa

A thing that  became the sound Om, The gem which is the chanting of Vedas, who has the form of the sound  Hreem,  our Lord   who is God Ayyappa  , I surrender  Ayyappa

Kundalabaranane  , kula vruthi karanane  , Mandalavishekan - -Ayyan Ayyappa Swamiye  Saranam Ayyappa

Oh Lord who wears  the ear globes, who is the reason for increase of our clan and who is anointed during  Mandalam(45 days), our Lord   who is God Ayyappa  , I surrender  Ayyappa

13)மிண்டர் குலகாலன், உத்தண்ட கோதண்டன், சண்டப்ரசண்ட வீரமணிகண்டன் ......அய்யன் , அய்யப்ப ஸ்வாமியே சரணம் அய்யப்பா

Mindar kula kalan  , uddhanda  kodandan , chanda  prachanda   veera mani kandan-- -Ayyan Ayyappa Swamiye  Saranam Ayyappa

The God of death to the clan of asuras , Who carries huge kodanda   and the extremely famous valorous  Mani Kandan -  our Lord   who is God Ayyappa  , I surrender  Ayyappa

17)பார்புகழும் சபரிமலை -பதினெட்டும் கடந்தநிலை
ஸ்ரீ சக்ர பீடத்தில் -சின்மயானந்த பாலன்
மகரம் சூழ் நன்னாளில் -யோகியாய் ஜோதியாய்
இரண்டெனக் காட்சி தந்து -இருவினை அகற்றி களையும் போது
தருணமாய் வந்து காக்கும் ......அய்யன் , அய்யப்ப ஸ்வாமியே சரணம் அய்யப்பா.

Paar pugazhum sabari malai , Pathinettu kadantha  nilai , Sri Chakra peedathil   chinmayanandha  Balan- Makara choozh nannalil, yogiyaai   , jyothiyi, irandena  kakkshi thanthi   iru vinai agathi kalayum pothu   tharunamai  vanthu kaakum  - Ayyan Ayyappa Swamiye  Saranam Ayyappa

In the world famous Sabari mountain , in a state   which has crossed  on the Sri Chakra  peeda , the lad who is in state of devine joy  , on the day in the makara month visible as a  yogi as well  as flame

When he removes  the two type of Karma  , he comes and protects us in proper time  - our Lord   who is God Ayyappa  , I surrender  Ayyappa

18)அகிலாண்ட கோடி பிரமாண்ட நாயக !! தீனதயாள !! பக்தவத்ஸல !! முக்திப் ப்ரதாயக !!சக்தி ப்ரிய சுக ......அய்யன் , அய்யப்ப ஸ்வாமியே சரணம் அய்யப்பா.

Akilanda koti Brahmanda Nayaka  , Dheena Dayala , BHaktha   vathsala  , Mukthi pradhayaka  ,  Sakthi priya Sakhaa , - Ayyan Ayyappa Swamiye  Saranam Ayyappa - Ayyan Ayyappa Swamiye  Saranam Ayyappa
