THiruKOLili Thevara Thirupathikam

The Lord at ThiruKoLilli (KoLilliNaathar/Brahmapureswarar பிரமபுரீசுவரர்/கோளிலிநாதர்) is believed to have removed the faults of the Navagrahas.

The Navagrahas in the temple are in a straight line facing South.

The below ThiruPathikam by ThiruGnanaSambandar is believed to appease the Navagrahas.

நாள்ஆய போகாமே, நஞ்சு அணியும் கண்டனுக்கே ஆள்ஆய அன்பு செய்வோம்; மட நெஞ்சே! அரன்நாமம் கேளாய்! நம் கிளைகிளைக்கும் கேடு படாத் திறம் அருளிக் கோள்ஆய நீக்குமவன் கோளிலி எம்பெருமானே.

NaaL-Aaya Pokaame, Nanju-aniyum Kandanukkuke AaL-Aaya anbu seivom; mada nenje! Aran-Naamam KeLaai! Nam KiLaiKiLaikkum Kedu padath thiram aruli KoL-Aaya Neekkum Avan KoLili EmPerumane.

O Mind! Lets always think of the LORD SHIVA at ThiruKoLilli who has the HalaHala poison in HIS Neck, before we lose out on our passing days; The LORD at ThiruKoLilli removed the defects of the Planets (Navagrahas) We shall be in love with HIM always; WE shall chant HIS Divine Names always; By doing so, our kith and kin will always be protected from vice by HIS GRACE and be BLESSED with bliss.

Lord Shiva at ThiruKoLilli! Who adorns a dancing cobra, beautiful tortoise shell and a hog’s tusk! That LORD removed distress from the minds of HIS Devotees who wake up worshipping HIS Divine Feet and singing HIS Praise.

நன்று நகு நாள்மலரால், நல் இருக்குமந்திரம்கொண்டு,ஒன்றி வழிபாடு செயல்உற்றவன்தன் ஓங்கு உயிர்மேல் கன்றி வரு காலன் உயிர் கண்டு, அவனுக்கு அன்று அளித்தான் கொன்றைமலர் பொன்திகழும் கோளிலி எம்பெருமானே.

Lord Shiva at ThiruKoLilli! Visarasarumar (CHANDESHWARA NAYANAR), created a LINGA on the banks of the MaNNi river and worshipped the LINGA with Milk Abhiseka. Visarasarumar’s father Yetchathathan, reprimanded Visarasarumar for wasting the Milk, the LORD appeared and placed Konrai flowers on the head of Visarasarumar  and anointed him as CHANDESHWARA NAYANAR Yetchathathan
