(Goddess Tripurasundari presides
over Sri Chakra also called as Nagara. Bala (child) is the
daughter of Maha TRipurasundari and Lord Kameswara. In the battle with Bandasura , she kills Chithrabahu , the son of
Bandasura. She is always pictuarised as a nine year old girl full of mirth and playfulness .She resembles the rising sun and she can always
be found near the foot rest of the Goddess Tripurasundari her mother. She is also called Balamba >it seems she came
out as a nine year old Goddess from the
fire of the Yajna conducted by great saints and she provided them power, wisdom and prosperity.AS she is
always nine year and stays with her mother
, playing cheerfully , she is called Bala Leelavinodhini
Though people do pray her for
happiness and prosperity , a
large number of people pray her for occult powers. )
