Narada Uvacha:-

1,Swamin  sarva jagannatha   samsayosthi  mama  Prabho,

Chathu sashti kalabincha pathuka  yoga vidhvara.

1.Oh  Lord  of all the worlds  ,I have a doubt, Oh my lord ,

Who is an expert in the sixty four arts  and an expertin the  knowledge of Yoga.

2.Muchyathe  kena punyena   brahma roopa kadham bhaveth  ,

Dehascha devatha roopo manthra roopo viseshatha.

2.By which blessed deed one would get freedom and  and when will he assume the form of Brahma,

And which special manthra    would get the  divine form to his body.

3.Karmatha srothumichami  nyasam cha vidhi poorvakam,

Rishi chandhadhi  daivascha  dhyanam  cha  vidhivath  prabho.

3.AS a duty , I would like to hear   it  with proper  method of chant,

Along   with the sage  , metere , God addressed  in a proper manner.

Narayana  Uvacha:-

Lord Narayana told:-

4.Asthyekam  paramam guhyam  Gaytri Kavacham THadhaa,

Patana ddharanan marthya    sarva papai  pramuchyate

4.There exists a great armour  of Gayathri which is kept very secret,

By  reading or wearing which  , you can get out of all  sins.

5.SArva Kamaan   avapnothi   devi  roopasche jayathe,

Gayathri   kavachasyasyaa  Brahma Vishnu  Maheswara

6.Rishayo  Rig Yajur Sama Atharva   cchandamsi  Narada,

Brahma roopa  devathokthaa   Gayathri  parama kala.

5-6.  All   acts  would be made  one’s own  and  the form of Goddess  would be generated.

For  the armour of Gayat, Lord Brahma , Shiva and Vishnu are the sages,

The meter is Rig, Yajur, Sama  and Atharvana Vedas, Oh Narada ,

And the God addressed  is Gayatri with her divine crescent who has the form of Brahma.

7.Thath bheejam barga , ithyeshaa   sakthi   ruktha maneeshibhi  ,

Keelakancha     dhivya proktham  moksharthe   viniyojanam.

7.Its  root is Barga  and the Goddess is its power  and the reflection is  repeated,

And the   nail is the the divine words   and this is being  chanted  for getting salvation.

8,CHathurbhir hrdayam   proktham  chathurbhir sira   smrutham 

Panchabisyatha   sikha    paschad  tribisthu  kavacham smrutham.

8.After mentioning  the four hrudayams, four times the head   should be remembered ,

Afterwards touching the hair five times  , three   times remember the   armour.

9.Chathurbhir nethra mudhishtam  chathurbhisyath   thad asthrakam,

Adha Dhyanam pravakshyami  Sadaka  abheeshta  dhayakam,

8.Afterwards  touch the eyes four times and four times think of the arrow  ,

And now I will tell the Dhayanam(meditation)   which fulfills  the desires  of the devotee.

9.Muktha Vidhruma hema Neela  davala chayair mukhai sthreekshanai,

Yukthamindhu nibadha rathna makutaam  thathwardha varnathmikam,

Gayathrim   varadabhayam kusakassa shubham kapalam gadham ,

Shankham chakramadharavindha yugalam hasthair vahanthim Bhaje.

9.I sing the praises of  Gayatri   who has five faces   which are ,

Of the colour  of pearl , sapphire  , gold  , blue   and white ,

Who has three eyes , who wears gem studded   crown,

Decorated   by the crescent of the moon  , who has the form,

Described by  the letters of her   principle  , who shows blessing and protection ,

And who holds in her  hands white skull, mace,

Conch , divine wheel  and  two lotus   flowers .

10.Gayathrim poorvatha pathu , SAvithri pathu dakshine,

Brahma sandhyasthu may paschad utharayaam  Saraswathi

10.Let Gayathri protect my east  , Savithri protect my south,

Let the dawn of Brahma protect my west   and Saraswathi protect my north.

11,Pavakim may disam rakshe , pavakojjwala sayinim,

Yathu dhanim  disam raksheth yathu dhana  Bhayangari

11.Let the protector from the flame protect  the directions   from flame,

Let her who  horrifies the devils  protect   the  directions from devils.

12,Pavamanim  dhisaam  raksheth  pavamana   vilasini,

Dhisaam  roudhrimavathu may  rudrani rudra roopini.

12.Let who   is the goddess  of  fire  protect the directions from fire,

Let the  very  angry consort of Rudra protect   the  directions  from the nine types of fuel.

13,Oordhwam brahmani  may raksheth  adasthad  Vaishnavi thadhaa,

Evam dasa disa raksheth sarvatho  Bhuvaneswari.

13.Let the top direction be protected by bRahmani and the direction down  by Vaishnavi,

And like that let the    ten directions always  be protected  by Bhuvaneswari.

14.THath padam   pathu may Padhou , Jange  may savithu padam,

Varenyam kati   desethu , nabhim   bharga sthadhiava cha.

14.Let her feet protect my feet   and let the  thigh   be protected  by feet of  the Sun God,

Let  the desirable   hips   and also the belly be protected  by  her radiance  .

15.DEvasya  may thu hrudayam   dheemaheethi   galam thadhaa ,

Dhiyo may pathu jihvaayaam , ya padam pathu  lochane.

16.Let the devas  protect my heart  , let the supreme consciousness  protect my throat ,

Let the intellect protect the toungue and let this  step protect my eyes.

17.Lalatena   padham pathu moordhana may prachodhayath ,

Thadpadam    pathu moordhaanaam , sakara  pathu phalakam.

17.Let that step  protect my  brow     and  make my intellect shine ,

Let that   step protect my head   and let letter “sa” protect my forehead.

18.Chakshushithu  vikararno  thukarosthu kapolayo,

Nasa putam Takararno  rakarasthu mukhe thadhaa.

18.Let letter “vi”  protect my eyes , let letter  “thu” protect my cheeks  ,

Let letter  “va” protect   my nose and let letter  “ra” protect my face 

,

19.nikarasthwa   adharoshte   cha   yakarashtu oordhva   oshatake  ,

Asyamadhye bhakarasthur gokarasthu  sa chubuke cha .

19.Le letter  “ni”  preotect my lower lip   and letter “ya” protect my upper lip,

And let letter Bha” protect the   space  in the middle and let letter “go” protect my  chin

20.Dhekara kanta   desethu  , vakara   sskandha   desakam,

Syakaro dakshinam hastham  . dheekaro vama hasthakam

20.Let letter “Dhe” protect   area around neck  and letter “va’ protect area around shoulder ,

Let letter “Sya”   protect my right hand and letter “dhi”  protect my   left hand.

21.  Makaro   hrydayam rakshed hikara  udhare   THadhaa 

 Dhikara  nabhidesam  thu yokarasthu  kati dwayam.

21.Let letter “ma”  protect my heart  , let letter “hi”  protect my stomach ,

Let  letter “dhi”  protect area  under belly   and letter “yo”   protect my  two  buttocks.

22.Guhyam Rakshedh   yokara  , Ooru dwayaou  na padaksharam,

Prakaro  januni  rashe   cchokaro   janga desakam.

22.Let letter “yo”  protect private  parts,  and letters in this step protect my  thighs,

Let  letter “pra”, the area around  knee   and letter “cho”  the area  around  thigh.

23.Dakaro   gulpha desam thu  yaakara pada  yugmakam,

THakara  vyanjanam   chaiva   sarvange   may sadaavathu.

23.Let letter Dha  protect area  around ankle and letter “yaa” , the pair  of feet  ,

Let letter  “tha” protect  our various  foods and let the ever living one protect all my limbs.

24.Idham Kavacham   dhivyam   badha satha vinasanam,

Chathusashti   kala  vidhya dhayakam  moksha karakam.

24.This   divine armour  is capable  of destroying all problems,

Give mastery in 64 arts and lead   you to salvation.

25Muchyathe   sarva  papebhyo param brahmadhi gachthi,

Patanaa  cchravanaadvaapi   go  sahasra phalam labeth.

25.They would get rid of all sins and go towards the divine Brahmam,

If they read or listen to this armour they would get all these  results thousand fold.
