The prayer  to remedy God Sani

(This prayer  was  posted on line  in 2011  in http://kshetrayaatra.blogspot.com/2011_12_23_archive.html and this was posted in Tamil in face book by  Devakottai Dolphin AR Ramanathan  on 8/6/2019  (today which is a Saturday) .He has made a humble request to devotees , who can afford to take   1000  copies  of the stotra  and distribute it in THirunallar  Sanaischara  temple   and other  Sanaischara  Sannidhis.I  spent  a  lot of time to type out  the great prayer  in English   and translate it, so  that  people who do not know Tamil can rfead   and understand it ..God bless  Sri Ramanathan) 

த்வயா ஹ்ருத்வா , வாமம், வபுர த்ருப்தேந மநஸா

சரிரார்த்தம் சம்போ ரபரமபி சங்கே ஹ்ருதமபூத்

யதேதத் த்வத்ருபம்ஸகல, மருபணாபம் த்ரிநயநம்

குசாப்யா - மாநம்ரம் குடில, சசிசூடால மகுடம்.

Thwayaa  hruthwaa , vamam vapura  trupthena  manasaa,

Sareeraardham Shambhor aparamapi   sankhe hrudham  abhooth,

Yadethath  thwadh roopam  sakala marunaabham   trinayanam,

Kuchaabhyaam  namram   kutila  sasi choodala   makutam

Catching the left side   of your body   with   all his  mind,

Lord Shiva  gave  half his body , without  any doubt in his  mind,

And now Your full form  is pink   along with three  eyes,

Bend slightly   at the breast   and has crown decorated by moon.

தேவரெண் டிசைக்கதிபர் சித்தரோடு கிம்புருடர்

மூவர் முனிவர் முதலோரை - மேவியிறுந்

தாரணிந்த மார்பன் சனிபகவான் கதை புகலக்

காரணிந்த யானைமுகன் காப்பு.

Devar , yendisai kkathipar, Sidharodu  , kimpurudar,

Moovar , munivar   mudhalorai  mevi irum,

Tharanintha  marban  , sani Bhagawan kadhai pukala,

Karanintha   yanai   mukhan Kappu

Devas , the ashta Dik palakas  , Sidhas  , Kimpurushas,

The trinity, the sages, Praying them all ,

For telling the story   Of Sani  wearing  Garland on chest ,

The Lord Ganesa   wearing the cloud will protect.

ஆதிவேதாந்த முதலரிய ஞானம்

ஐந்தெழுத்தினுட்பொருள் அயன்மாலோடும்

சோதி சிற்றம் பலத்திலாடி நின்ற

சுடரொளியை நீ பிடித்த தோஷத்தாலே

பாதிமதிச் சடைக்கணிய அரவு பூணப்

பதியிழக்கச் சுடலைதனிற்பாடி யாடச்

சாதியில்லா வேடனிற் சிற்றின்ன வைத்தாய்

சாலவுனை யான் தொழுதேன்னைத் தொடாதே !

சனியனே காகமேறுந் தம்பிரானே

Aadhi vedantha   mudhal   ariya jnanam,

Iynthu  yezhuthin ut porul   , ayan maalodum,

Chothi   chithambalathaadi  nindra,

Chudaraliyai   nee  piditha    doshathaale,

Pathi mathi   Sadaikkaniya   , aravu poona.

Pathiyizhakka sudalai   thanil paadiyaada,

Saadhiyilla   vedanir chithinna  Vaithai,

Saala unai  yaan   thozhuthen  , Yennai thoidathe

Saniyane , kaakam   Yerum thambiraane

Because   you caught the  lustrous  flame  ,

Who  was  the  primeval Philosophy, the first  rare  wisdom,

The   inner meaning  of Om Namashivaya and who  along,

With Lord Brahma  and Vishnu   danced in Chidambaram,

Due to that evil , you  made him wear  half moon  in his  tuft as also  the snake,

Loose  half his body, to sing and dance in the cremation ground,

And made   him eat   the food given by casteless  hunter,

I am saluting  you  too much, Please   do not touch me,

வேலவனை வேங்கை மரமாக்கி வைத்தாய்

விறகுகட்டுச் சொக்கர் தமை விற்க வைத்தாய்

மாலவனை உரலோடு கட்டி வைத்தாய்

வள்ளிதனைக் குறவரது மனத்தில் வைத்தாய்

காலனை மார்க்கண்டனுக்காக அரனுதைத்த

காரணமும் நீ பிடித்த கருமத்தாலே

சாலவுனை யான் தொழுதேன்னைத் தொடாதே !

சனியனே காகமேறுந் தம்பிரானே

Velavanai  Vengai  maramaakki  vaithai,

Viraku  kattu  , chokkar thamai  virkka vaithai.

Malavanai   uralodu  katti vaithai,

Valli thanai kuravarathu  manathil  vaithai,

Kalanai   Markkanadanukku aaga Aranuthaitha,

Karranamum  nee piditha  karumathaale,

Saala unai  naan  thozhuthen, yennai  thodathe,

SAniyane kakamerum  thambiraane

You  made  Lord Subrahmanya  in to a vengai tree,

You made  Lord Sokkanathar  to sell a bundle of fire wood,

You made  Lord Vishnu   to be tier  to the mortar,

You made  Valli  live  in the mind of nomadic Kuravas,

You also is the reason that  Lord Shiva  ,

Kicked God  of death  for sake of  Markandeya,

I am saluting  you  too much, Please   do not touch me,

மஞ்சு தவழயோத்தியில் வாழ் தசரதன்றன்

மக்களையும் வனவாசம் ஆக்கி வைத்தாய்

பஞ்சவர்கள் சூதினால் பதியிழந்து

பஞ்சுபடும் பாட்டினையே படச் செய்வித்தாய்

எஞ்சலால் அரிச்சந்திரன் பெண்டைவிற்றே

இழிகுலத்தில் அடிமையுற இசைய வைத்தாய்

தஞ்சமெனவுனைப் பணிந்தேன் எனைத் தொடாதே

Manju  thavazh  ayothiyil  vaazh dasarathan than,

Makkalayum  vana vasam   aakki  vaithai,

Panchavarkal   choothinaal pathiyizhanthu,

Panchu padum paattinaye   pada  chivithai,

Yenchalaal  arichandran  pendai  viththe,

Yizhi kulathil  adimayura  isaya vaithaai  ,

Thanjam yena  unai  paninthen , yenai  thodaathe  ,

Saniyane , kaakameru  thambiraane

You  made   the sons of Dasaratha  who lived in,

Thevery pretty Ayodhya, to live  in the forest,

You made Pandavas loose  their town  , due to,

Gambling and made   them suffer  like  the sufferings of  Cotton,

You made  Harichandra sell   his wife and made him,

Become   a slave  in a  very low   Caste,

I Saluted you saying I surrender, do not touch me,

அண்டமாயி ரத்தெட்டு மரசு செய்த

அடல் சூரபத்மனையும் அடக்கி வைத்தாய்

மண்டலத்தை ஆண்ட நளச்சக்ரவர்த்தி

 மனைவியோடு வனமதில் அலையச் செய்தாய்

விண்தலத்தை பானு கோபன்றன்னாலே

வெந்தணலாய்ச் சூரரையும் வெருவச் செய்தாய்

தெண்டனிட்டேன் எந்நாளும் எனைத் தொடாதே

சனியனே காகமேறுந் தம்பிரானே

Andam  aayirathettum arsu cheitha,

Adal soora padmanayum    adakki vaithai,

Mandalathai   aanda   Nala  Chakravarthi,

Manaviyodu   vanamathil   alaya  cheithai,

ViN thalathai  Banu kopan  Thannale,

Venthanalai   soorarayum   veruva   cheithai,

Thendanitten  yennalum   yennai  thodathe,

Saniyane  Kakamerum thambiraane

You made the valorous    Soora padma  

Who ruled the 1008  universes.

You made  The emperor  Nala   who ruled,

The countries wander in the forest  with his wife,

You made  Bhanu kopa  make the sky  ,

In to burning fire and you made  Soora scared,

I saluted you,  Never   ever  touch me,

பாருலவு பரிதியைப் பல்லுதிர வைத்தாய்

பஞ்சவர்க்குத் தூது பீதாம்பரனை வைத்தாய்

தாருலவு வாலி சுக்ரீவன் தம்மைத்

தாரையினால் தீராத சமர் செய்வித்தாய்

சூரனெனுமிலங்கை ராவணன்றன் தங்கை

சூர்ப்பணகி மூக்குமுலை துண்டு செய்வித்தாய்

தாரணியு மணிமார்பா எனத் தொடாதே

சனியனே காகமேறுந் தம்பிரானே

Paarulavu  parithiyai   palluthira  vaithai,

Panchavarkku  Doothu  Peethambaranai  Vaithai,

Tharulavu Vali   Sugreevan  thammai,

Tharayinaal   theeraatha   samar  seivithai,

Sooran yenum ilangai Ravanan than thangai ,

Soorpanagi   mooku  mulai   thundu  cheivithai,

Tharaniyum Mani Marbha  , yenai thodathe,

Saniyane Kakamerum   thambiraane

You Madethe teeth of sun God   who wanders the world to fall,

You made  Lord Krishna   go as emissary  of Pandavas,

You made  Sugrreva and Vali   who  wandered the forest,

Fight  an unending   fight  due  to Thara,

You made The Soorpanaga , the  sister  of  The great ,

Ravana of Lanka   loose her  nose   and breasts,

Oh Lord with gem studded chest  who wears garland, do not touch me,

Oh Lord Sani  , Oh Lord   who climbs  on a crow

சுக்ரன்றன் கண்ணிழந்தான் லங்கை யாண்டு

துலங்கு ராவணன் சிரங்கண்டிக்க வீழ்ந்தான்

மிக்க புகழ் இரணியென்றான் வீறழிந்தான்

. விளங்கு திரிபுராதிகளும் வெந்து மாண்டார்

சக்கரத்தால் உடலறுத் தான் சலந்தரன்றான்

தாருகா சூரனுமே சமரில் மாண்டான்

தக்கன் மிகச் சிரமிழந்தான் தோஷத்தாற்

சனியனே காகமேறுந் தம்பிரானே

அந்த முள் ஐங்கரன் கொம்பறவே செய்தாய்

Sukran than kannizhanthaan , Lankai aandu,

Thulangu  Ravanan  Siram kandikka   veezhnthaan,

Mikka pugazh  iraniyan than   veerazhinthaan,

Vilangu tripuradhikalum   vendhu maandaar,

Chakkarathal  udal arunthaan  jalandharan than,

Tharakasuranume   Samaril maandaan,

THakkan   miga   chiramizhanthaan  Doshathaar,

SAniyane   Kakamerum  Thamurane,

Antha mul  iymkaran  kombu arave cheithai.

Sage shuka lost his eye, Ravana who was  shining ,

As he was ruling Lanka fell down  as his heads were cut,

The very famous Hiranya  lost   his  valour,

The famour people  of Tripura  got burnt and died,

Daksha  due  to his fault  lost his head,

Oh Lord Sani  , Oh Lord   who climbs  on a crow

The very great  five handed Ganesa  also lost  his tusk.

அறுமுனிவர் மனைவிகள் கற்பழியச் செய்தாய்

சந்திரன் தன் கலையழிந்து தழைக்கச் செய்தாய்

சங்கரனைப் பிச்சை தானெடுக்கச் செய்தாய்

தந்திமுகச் சூரனுயிர் தளரச் செய்தாய்

சாரங்கதரன் கரத்தைத் தறிக்கச் செய்தாய்

சந்தமும் உனைப் பணிவேன் எனைத் தொடாதே

சனியனே காகமேறுந் தம்பிரானே

Aru munivar   manaivika;  karpazhiya   cheithai,

Chanthiran  than kalai yazhinthi thazhaikka   cheithai,

Sankaranai  pichai than yedukka   cheithai,

Dahimukha   sooran  uyir   thalara  cheithai,

Sarangadharan  karathai   tharikka   cheithai,

Santhamum  unai  paniven, yenai  thodathe,

Saniyane  kakamerum thamburaane

You made the wives  of six sages loose  their virtue,

You made moon to loose his crescents  and  regain them,

You made  Lord Sankara to beg,

You weakened   the soul of  the Dahi mukha  Soora 

You numbed the hand of Lord sarangadhara  ,

Always  I would salute  you, please  do not touch me ,

சீதைதனை இராவணனாற் சிறை செய்வித்தாய்

தேவர்களைச் சூரனாற் சிறை செய்வித்தாய்

மாது துரோ பதைதுயிலை வாங்குவித்தாய்

மகேச்வரனை யுமை பிரியும் வகை செய்வித்தாய்

போதில் அன்றாளிற்றளை பூட்டு வித்தாய்

பொதிகையினில் அகத்தியனைப் பொருந்தச் செய்த

தாதுசேர் மலர்மார்பா எனைத் தொடாதே

சனியனே காகமேறுந் தம்பிரானே

Seethai thanai   Ravananaar  chirai  cheivithai,

Devarkalai  sooranaar   sirai  cheivithai,

Mathu dropadhai   thuyilai  vaanguvithai,

Maheswaranai  umai  piriyum vakai   cheithai,

Pothil  andaraalithalai   poottu vithai,

Pothikayil   agathiyanai  poruntha cheithai,

Thathu cher  malar marbaa   yenai thodathe,

Saniyane kakamerum thambiraane,

You made  Lady Sita   to go to the prison of Ravana,

You made  Devas  get imprisoned by Soora,

You made  the sari of mother draupadhi    to be pulled,

You made Goddess  Parvathi  separated  from  Lord shiva,

At proper time  You made  Andarai lock(?)  ,

 You made  Agasthya  fit in Pothigai  mountain,

Oh Lord Who has a  flowery chest  , do not touch me,

அப்பர்தமை கருங்கல்லோடு அலையிற் சேர்த்தாய்

அரனடியில் முயலகனை யடங்கச் செய்தாய்

செப்பு மாணிக்கர்தமைச் சிறையிலிட்டாய்

ஸ்ரீராமனை மச்சவுரு எடுக்கச் செய்தாய்

ஒப்பிலா அனுமான் வாலிலொளித் தீயிட்டாய்

ஒலிகடலின் நஞ்சையரன் உண்ண வைத்தாய்

தப்பிலா துனைத் தொழுதேன் எனத் தொடாதே

Appar  thamai  Karunkallodu alayir   Cherthai,

Aranadiyil  muyalakanai   adanga   cheithai,

Cheppu  Manikkar thamai  chirayilittai,

Sri Ramarai  macha  uru yedukka  cheithai,

Oppilaa   anuman valil   oli  theeyittai,

Oli  kadalin  nanjai  aran  unna   cheithai,

Thappilathu unai thozhthen  , yenai thodathe,

Saniyane  , kakamerum   thambiraane

You put Appar  along with black  stone in  the sea,

You made Muyalaka   to lie calmly  below lord Shiva,

You Made  Manikka  vasagar  get  imprisoned,

You made Lord Vishnu  taker  the form of a fish,

You lit fire in the tail of incomparable  Hanuman,

You made  Lord Shiva  eat  the poison of  the sea,

Without mistake , I saluted you , Please  do not touch me ,

நீரினையுண்டெழு மேகவண்ணா போற்றி

நெடுந் தபத்தில் அறுகமலக் கண்ணா போற்றி

சூரியன்றன் தவத்தில் வந்த பாலா போற்றி

துலங்கு நவக் கிரகத்துண் மேலா போற்றி

காரியென் பவர்களுபகாரா போற்றி

காசியினிற் கீர்த்தி பெற்ற தீரா போற்றி

மூரிகொளும் நோய் மகமா முடவா போற்றி

முதுமகளின் முண்டகத்தாள் போற்றி போற்றி

Neerinai  undezhu mega  vannaa pothi,

Nedum thapathil  aru  kamala  kannaa  pothi,

Sooriyan than  thavathil  vandha bala  pothi,

Thulangu  nava grahu thun melaa pothi,

Kaariyen bavaragalukku    upakaraa  pothi,

Kasiniyir  keerthi petha   dheeraa  pothi,

Moori kolum  moi magamaa  mudavaa pothi,

Mudhu magalin  mudakathaal   pothi pothi

Hail, cloud coloured one  who rises up  after  drinking water,

Hail lotus    eyed one    who is in long  penance,

Hail oh son born in great penance  of Sun God,

Hail oh chief  of the shining  nine planets,

Hail , oh lord  , who helps  people  called kari( who says Kari)

Hail oh courageous one who became famous  in the earth,

Hail oh lord   who was made  by the  disease

Hail, hail oh  feet that prevents   the elder one

கடவுளர் ஒன்பா னாமத்

தாருயச் சக்கரத்தை

தரித்திரர் பூசித்தாலும்

பாரினிற் புத்திர ருண்டாம்

பாக்கியம் நல்குந் தானே

சனி பகவான் ஸ்தோத்ரம் முற்றிற்று

ஸ்ரீ சனீஸ்வரபகவான் திருவடிகள் சரணம்

Sooriyan , soman  , chevvai,

Sor budhan , vyazhan, velli  ,

Kaariyani  Rahu  Kethu,

Kadavular  onbanaama,

Tharuya   chakkirathai  ,

Darithirar poojithaalum ,

Paarinil  puthirar undaam,

Bakkiyam nalgu  thane

Sani bhagawan   stotram muthithu,

Sri Saneeswara  bhagawan  thiruvadigal  saranam

Sun, moon, mars ,

Mercury  , Jupiter, venus ,

Rahu and Kethu,

There  are nine gods,

In the Tharuya wheel,

Even if poor people   worship it,

In the world  , they would getchildren,

And they will  get luck,

The prayer of   God Sani ends,

We surrender  to divine feet of God sani
