Maadhavanin  pathavathara  vaibhavathai  manam urugi  bhakthiyudan  Padidave,

Naavathanil nar  padhangal  nalkidave   orumukhamai  naan  paninthen,

Parivadhana  perumalinin  por padhangal  , annilayil  yenakku,

Charivethum  varaathu   thunai nirppar , yennullirukkum   yen Kula  Guruve.

For singing  with devotion and mind that melts  of the ten incarnations  of Lord Vishnu,

For him giving good words in my toungue, With concentration  I  saluted him,

The golden feet of the Lord with horse face, at that time,

Would   stand  as protection so  that I do not slip away, My Clan Guru  who is within me.

1.Alai payum sagarathil   alaikindra meenaai    avathaaram   cheithitte,

Vilai mathippilla   vedangaluyum  innum uyirkalayum  meetavanai,.

Chilai pole   chila kanamkal   thanai marunthu urangiya kalai vaani pathiyaam Brahman,

Nilai maaththi   arul konde kaathitta maalavanai mana maara  thuthippome.

Taking incarnation as fish which moves in the  sea  with waves ,

And saved the invaluable Vedas and other  lives also, and changing position of,

Brahma, the husband of Saraswarthi who slept few seconds   without knowing himself,

And protected him  was Lord Hari and let us pray him  to change our  mind.

2.Paar kadalai  kadaivatharkke vadavarayai   mudhukil chumundhane,

Noor kadalaam vedathin porulaaki nirkindra  mayabanai  , thooyavanai,

Koormamaam aamai  vadiveduthe kundru thaangi  kaathone,

Paar pugazhum     azhakiya  hariyai   karam koopi  thozhuvome

Oh Lord who lifted  the churning mountain on his back  , to churn the  ocean of milk,

We  salute  with folded hands  ,  the pretty Hari who is praised  by   the entire world,

Who is  the God of illusion and the very pure one who stands   as the meaning of Veda, which is the ocean  of book,

Who assumed the form of Koorma   the tortoise and lifted the mountain  and protected.

3.Porumaikke  perumai cherkkum  yengal  annayaam bhoodeviyai,

Chirumai konda  arakkan apakarithe allal paduthiya  veLai  thannil,

Karumai  pandriyaai  avatharithe arakkanai  vadham   cheithu  kaathonai,

Marumayilaa   varam aruli kaathidave, manamaara thozhuvome 

At the time   when our mother  Earth  who is famous  for her patience

Was troubled by a lowly Rakshasa by stealing her,

Taking incarnation   as a black pig, you  killed the Rakshasa   and protected her,

For   granting us a boon of no    future births, WE   salute you  heartily.

4.Yengum iruppaano un maadhavan  yendre vinaviya iraniyan  udalai  ,

Pangu podaathu pakkuvamai   kizhithitta paramanaam  Narasimhanai,

Kangu poal  kan konda  avathaaram  kaattiyonai kurayaathu,

Pongidum bhakthiyodu paadi  paninthe  karam  koopi thuthippome.

You  , the divine Narasimha  , tore with finesse without dividing   the body  of Hiranya,

Who asked, “Would your Madhava  be found  anywhere?,

And  took an incarnation like  burning ember  covered with ash, we will  ,

Sing about   and  salute  with folded hands salute  with ebbing   devotion.

5.Eeradi maN kette, eerezh ulagam irandu adiyaal  alanthonai,

Yaaradi yi chiru anthanan  yendru  viyakka  vaitha maayavanai,

Theeraatha   thuyarellam  theethidum  vaamananai   vanthu  avatharithavanai,

Maaraatha  manam konde thouzhithittal   theernthidum  vinai  thane.  

The one who asked for two feet land and  measured  fourteen worlds in two steps,

And made others wonder, Who is this small Brahmin,

Who took incarnation as  Vamana  who removes  all the sorrow  which can never be removed,

If you  salute him with unchanged  mind, all karmas  would be  removed.

6.Vinai thane   pithaavin  aaNaiyethu  maathavai  maithathuvum,

Vinai thane   varathinaal   maathavai  meendezha cheithathum,

INai thane  ivanukku illai KOdariyin veechinile, Bhakthiyenum,

PiNai konde  naam  thozhuthiduvom  paranthaamanaam  parasuramanai

It is fate   that he obeyed  his father’s   words  and killed  his mother,

It is fate  that  due to boon, he made  his mother  wake  up again,

There  is no comparison to him in  throwing the axe and  with ,

The tie  of devotion we will salute  this  God    who is Parasurama.

7.Ramanaaka  Avathaaram   cheithe manithanaaka  vaazhnthida, vazhi Kaattinaan,

Ramanaka  avathaaram   cheithe Dharmathin  vazhi kaatti chendraan,

Ramanaaka  avathaaram cheithe Ravananai vadham cheithaan , Antha,

Rama japam naam cheyya, cheyya jenmamum  maranamum  indri theerume

Taking the incarnation of Rama  , he showed, the way  a man should   leave,

Taking the incarnation of Rama, he went on showing  the way of Dharma,

Taking the incarnation of Rama, he killed Ravana,  if we   chant the  name,

Of that Rama, we will be able  not to have  any birth or death    afterwards.

8.Theerume   nam theevinaikal   yellaam thaan   yendre  yenni  thuthiduvom,

Naaru thuzhai Naranan  Namame, Yipirappil nannilai  namukku  nalki,

Porume yipirappu  yendre vendi, kalappai   yenthiya kayyanai,

Paarinai  Kaathitta Balaramanai  veNdi thozhuthupoththuvome.

We will pray saying that  all our Bad  karmas  will come to an end,

The name  of Thulasi   and Narayana, after giving a good  position in this birth,

Praying that   this birth is sufficient  and taking the plough in his hands,

Balarama   saved the earth and we will salute , request and praise him.

9.POthutharkke avatharam cheithu, kamsanin chirai thnil irunthu oar  iravil,

Maththiye vanthu udhithaan yasodayin  mainthanai, Yadhavar  nilai,

Yeththidave manam kondaan, mantharkalai  uythidave chitham kondu,

Mayil peeliyodu vandhu udhitha kannanai  karuthile   irunthu  thuthippome

Taking incarnation  only for being praised, in one night   from the prison of Kamsa,
He   changed himself and was born as   Yasoda’s son and wanting  to   improve,

The position of Yadavas, he   decided      to  save  people and was born as Krishna,

With peacock feather  and let us keep him in our mind and praise  him.

10.THudhippor yaavarkkum  thunbam neeki   kaakindra  vaLLalai-Avan thaan,

Gathiyendre avanai    chinthayil  vaithu, avanai     saranadaivathe,

Mathiyendru  ninaithittu, yeppothum maravaathu avanai  thozhuvorai,

Sathikal thaakkathu kaakka nalla avathaaram   tharavulla  Kalkiyai  vananguvome.

That  great one   who removes  all sorrow  to those who pray him,  and to those,

Who   always salute him   and who keep always in their mind  that he only is there  help,

And  think that only surrendering  to him is the proper thought process,

And salute him That  Kalki who is going to be born would prevent,

Deceit from attacking them  and so we will  salute him.

Vanangi  thuthippom pathavathaarathayum  manathil  dhinam niruthi,

YiNangi thuthippom , yipirappe   iruthiyendra  ninaippudane,

Panam Kasu  pathu vittu paranthaman  padham paninthaal-oru nodi kooda,

Sunangaathu  vanthiduvaan thuninthu yen  chol kelir    anbarkale

WE will salute   and pray  all the  ten incarnations, we  will  keep  it,

In our mind daily, with a thought, that  this birth of ours  is the last,

If we  leave  out detachment  for wealth and money and bow before their feet,

Without  waiting  even a second he will, boldly hear my words, friends
