1.உன் கரு நிறம் தொட்டு, 

என் விழிகளில் மை இட ஆசை

Un kari niram thottu  ,

Yen vizhikalil mai ida Aasaii

I desire   to touch your black  colour ,

And put Kajal   with my eyes with it

2.உன் கனிவாய் அமுதுண்ண,

உன் வேங்குழலாக ஆசை;

Un kani vai amuthunna  ,

Un  venkuzhalaaka   Aasaii

I desire    to become   your flute,

So that I can eat  the honey from your  mouth

3,உன் விழி் வழியும் குரும்பை,

என் கரம் ஏந்த ஆசை;

Un vizi  vazhiyum kurumbai  ,

Yen karam yentha   Aasaii

I desire   to hold in my hand,

The mischief that is oozing out of your eyes

4.உன் குமிழ் சிரிப்பழகை,

என் மனதில் பொத்தி வைக்க ஆசை;

Un kumiz  chirippazhagai,

Yen manathil  pothi vaikka   Aasaii

I desire   to  store  in  my mind  ,

The beauty  of   your ebbing smile

5.உன் மணிமுடி அழகை,

என்றும் ரசித்திருக்க ஆசை;

Un mani mudi  azhagai  ,

Yendrum   rasithirukka   Aasaii

I  desire  to always    treasure and enjoy,

The beauty   of your crown

6.உன் மதி வதன அழகை,

தனியாய் புசித்திருக்க ஆசை;

IN mathi vadana    azhagai  ,

THaniyaai  pusithirukka   Aasaii

I desire to   eat alone  ,

The   beauty of your moon  like eyes,

7.உன் கருத்த கூந்தலிடையே,

மலராய் விகசிக்க ஆசை;

UN karutha  koonthalidaye  ,

Malaraai  vikasikka   Aasaii

I desire   to bloom as a flower,

In between your   black hair

8.உன் விரிந்த மார்பினிலே,

என் முகம் புதைக்க ஆசை;

Un virintha  narbinile  ,

Yen mikam pudhaikka Aasaii

I desire    to drown my face  ,

On your  broad   chest

9,உன் பரந்த தோளினிலே,

தலை சாய்ந்திருக்க ஆசை;

Un parantha tholile,

THalai chaithu irukka   Aasaii

I  desire to rest  my head ,

On your  broad chest

10.உன் அகன்ற கரமிடையே,

ஆயுள் கைதியாக ஆசை;

Un akandra  karamidaye ,

AAyul kaithiyaaga   Aasaii

I desire to be  life long prisoner ,

In your   very long    hands

11.உன் பொலிந்த மேனி அழகில்,

என் உள்ளம் கிறங்க ஆசை;

Un polintha meni azhagil,

Yen ullam kiranga  Aasaiiu

I desire that my mind to be enchanted,

In the great  flowering prettiness  of your body

12.உன் வலிய உடலம் ஏற்கும்

பீதாம்பரமாக ஆசை;

Un valiya   udalam yerkkum,

Peethambaramaaga   Aasaii

I desire    to be your yellow silk cloth,

That would be accepted  by your big body

13.உன்னை உரசும் அந்த−

பொன் ஆபரணமாக ஆசை;

Unnai  urasum  antha ,

POn aabharanamaaga   Aasaii

I desire   to be that ornament  ,

That always rubs your body

14.உனக்காகவே தன்னைத் தரும் 

வாச மலர்களாக ஆசை;

Unakkagave thannai tharum  ,

VAasaii malarkalaaga    Aasaii

I would like to become scented flowers,

Which   give themselves to you

15.உன் திருப்பதமாம் கமலத்தில், 

என் சிரம் பதிய ஆசை;

Un thirupadamaam   kalathil  ,

Yen siram padhiya   Aasaii

I desire to keep my head,

On your lotus like feet

16.உன் உள்ளம் சம்மதித்தால் போதும்,

உன் ராதையாகவும் ஆசை!!

Un ullam  sammathithaal  pothum,

Un radhayaagavum Aasaii

If only   your   mind agrees,

I desire    to be your Radha
