श्री लघु अन्नपूर्णास्तोत्रम्-Laghu Annapurna Stotram

Simple prayer to Goddess  Annapurna

(While searching   for some other stotra, I came across this tiny  but very pretty prayer.It was mentioned  there  that it was written by Adhi Sankara. Without any doubt it was not written by him)

भगवति भवरोगात् पीडितं दुष्कृतोत्यात् ।

सुतदुहितृकलत्र उपद्रवेणानुयातम् ।

विलसदमृतदृष्ट्या वीक्ष विभ्रान्तचित्तम् ।

सकलभुवनमातस्त्राहि माम् ॐ नमस्ते ॥ १ ॥

Bhagawathi  Bhava  rogath peeditham  dushkruthothyaath,

Sutha duhithru kalathra  upadraveNa anuyaatham,

Vilasad amrutha  drushtyaa veeksha, vibhrantha  chitham,

SAkala  Bhuvana Mathaa sthraahi maam Om Namsthe

Oh goddess  by my bad actions I  am sick with  Karma,

My son, grandson, wife are being followed by troubles

See  me  who has a  disturbed mind, with  your nectar  like glance

Oh mother of all universe, Protect me, my salutations to you.

माहेश्र्वरीमाश्रितकल्पवल्ली

महंभवोच्छेदकरीं भवानीम् ।

क्षुधार्तजायातनयाद्दुपेत

स्त्वान्नपूर्णे शरणं प्रपद्दे ॥ २ ॥

Maheswarim aasritha  kalpavallim

Aham  bhavo chedhakarim  bhavanim,

Kshudha artha jaayaa   thanayaad  upetha,

Swa annapurne saranam   Prapadhye 

Greatest goddess, thewish giving climber  to those   who depend on you,

Cut off my past  Karma   , Oh Bhavani

Hunger  and worries   are with my wife and son,

My Annapurne, I surrender to you

दारिद्र्यदावानलदह्यमानम् ।

पाह्यन्नपूर्णे गिरिराजकन्ये ।

कृपाम्बुधौ मज्जय मां त्वदीये ।

त्वपादपद्मार्पितचित्तवृतिम् ॥ ३ ॥

Daridrya  dhavanala   dahyaamanam,

Pahyaa annnapurne  Giri   Raja kanya

Krupaambodhou majjaya maam   thwadheeye,

Thwad  pada  padmarpitha chitha  vruthim,

I am being burnt by poverty like fire,

Protect me  Annapurna ,the daughter of king of mountains,

Dip me in to your   ocean of mercy,

I am offering  all activities of my mind to your lotus like feet

दूत्थन्नपूर्णास्तुतिरत्नमेतत् ।

श्लोकत्रयं यः पठतीह भक्त्या ।

तस्मै ददात्यन्नसमृद्धिमम्बा ।

श्रियं च विद्दां च यशश्र्च मुक्तिम् ॥ ४ ॥ ॥

Drutha   annapurnaa    sthuthi rathna methath,

Sloka thrayam ya padatheeha  Bhakthyaa,

Thasmai    dadathyanna samrudhimamambaa,

Sriyam  cha vidhyaam   cha   yasacha  mukthim

This prayer praising Annapurni,

Consisting of three  stanzas if read     with devotion by a person,

He would be given food in plenty by the mother

As well as  Prosperity, education, fame   and salvation

॥ इति  श्री लघु अन्नपूर्णास्तोत्रम् संपूर्णम् ॥
