1.sthambadwinargathavatha sthava  Narasimha,

Drushtou thu  bheekara  mukham  bahava prabheetha,

Swamin  abheetha  karane nipunou  padhou they  ,

Vathalayeswara   charanou saranam prapadhye

Oh Narasimha you came out   of two  pillars,

Showed your   fierce  face and scared  very many,

Oh God for not    scaring    and standing   you are an expert,

Oh Lord  of Guruvayur, I surrender    at   your feet

2.Sakshalithou   vatuka vamana  roopa dharin,

Vairochanena haya medha phala pradhou  yow,

Yaabhyaam vinisrutha sarith pravaraa cha  gangaa ,

Vathalayeswara   charanou saranam prapadhye

You who took the form of brahmachari   vamana to corrode,

The  aswamedha  yaga  of Mahabali  so that  you give him good result,

By  making the   river ganges   to spring out  there,

Oh Lord  of Guruvayur, I surrender    at   your feet

3Trivikrame cha dhivi deva  ganaischa  vandhyaa,

Samkshalithou cha payasaa  vidhinaa  padho you,

Vairochanena  vidhruthou sirasaadharena,

Vathalayeswara   charanou saranam prapadhye

Becoming trivikra   saluted   by  the earth as well   as group of devas,

Getting your   feet washed by water   from Lord Brahma,

You made the head of Mahabali   wear   that feet,

Oh Lord  of Guruvayur, I surrender    at   your feet

4.You Rajyadhou swa jana magraja mathma  bandhun,

Hithwaa gathayaa pisithasina   sodharaaya,

Samkshalithou lajadhi  raja karar   sthrangai,

Vathalayeswara   charanou saranam prapadhye

Leaving  out  his people and very  closely related Elder brother,

The   Rakshasa   brother    went away  ,

And  he was protected and made  king of the sea kingdom,

Oh Lord  of Guruvayur, I surrender    at   your feet

5.You darsithou samara bhoomi gathaaya deva ,

Parthaaya gopa vapushaahe   suhruthamaaya ,

You vaa  bhavabdhi   tharane  nipunou prasidhow

Vathalayeswara   charanou saranam prapadhye

When he  went along   with the god and saw  the battle   field,

Arjuna   along  with his  pretty   friend  who was  a cowherd,

He made him a  famous  expert in crossing the ocean  of Karma,

Oh Lord  of Guruvayur, I surrender    at   your feet

6.Sri samkha chakra  saraseeruha   mathsya  kethu,

Vajramkusaari vara  pasaa  sudha  gatadyaa ,

Dhyeyou  virinchi  sura nayaka deva  sankhair,

Vathalayeswara   charanou saranam prapadhye

Holding   conch  , wheel  , lotus flower , flag of fish

Vajrayudha   and the   blessed goad  a pot of nectar

And gave it to Brahma  , Indra      and all  other  devas  ,

Oh Lord  of Guruvayur, I surrender    at   your feet

7.Yaabhyaam  vinisrutha sarith  pravaraa  cha  gangaa,

Moordhnadhyathaa tharuna   Chandra  kala dharena,

Yow vaa payodi thanayaarchitha kunkumakthou

Vathalayeswara   charanou saranam prapadhye

When The river Ganga   made a torrential fall on earth,

It was  held by lord  Shiva  wearing the  crescent on his  head,

And the river was  worshipped  by Bhageertha   with kumkum  ,

Oh Lord  of Guruvayur, I surrender    at   your feet

8,Lakshmyaa  harena  vidhinaa cha  sureswaradhyir,

Mrugyou  cha  koti nigamouscha muneeswaraadhyai,

BHakthyaadharena namathaam   cha sukha pradou   the,

Vathalayeswara   charanou saranam prapadhye

Lakshmi  , Vishnu  , brama  Indra   and others

And all other    crores   of great   sages,

Are saluting with great  regard  and devotion for getting pleasant  life,

Oh Lord  of Guruvayur, I surrender    at   your feet

Hare  sri   Gurupavana  pura pathe  paahi maam  pahi

Oh Lord  of your protect  please  protect me
