(gem like summary  of the story of Krishna   and rAma)

(Very peculiar work .It consists  of 14 slokas   out of which story of Rama is told in one sloka  and that of Krishna  is repeated thrice (1-10, 11-12  and 13. No reason is given. Sengalipuram says  that by reading it  , you get effect of reading Bhagawatha  as well as Ramayana and the troubles created  by Budha and Sani in the horoscope   will come  to an end

1.Ksheerambudhou phanipather mrudhu bhoga sayya-,
Shayee ramakara saroruha lalithangri,
Anandamurthir  akhilamara moulirasman,
Nanavatha  rajitha    daithya jana  sa paayath.

Let him who lies on the soft bed of king of snakes on the ocean of milk,
Who has feet looked after by the lotus like  hands  of Goddess  Lakshmi,
Who has form of joy  , who has the crown of all    devas at his feet,
And who destroyed the Rakshasas in different incarnations  protect me

2.Brahmesa Chakra mukha deva vararthitho ya,
Sri DEvaki thanayatham adhigamya  goshte,
Prak poothanaa sakatavatha vinaasa kaari,
BHoothwaa babanja sisurarjuna padapou   dwaou.

He who due to request of Brahma     , Indra  and other devas,
Was born as    son of Devaki  and having   acquired the position,
Who destroyed poothana sakatasura and thrunavartha,
And who as a child    broke   the two Marutha   trees

3.Thathrothidhou swa saranaa vanugrahya gopi-,
Geheshu  dugdha navaneetha dadrnee bhukthwaa,
Brindavanam prathi gatho adha nihathya vathsa,
Daithyam  baka cha nija kaliya sikshako   abooth.

After   blessings those   who came out of the tree,
Stealing   milk , curd and butter  in homes of Gopis,
Went to Bindavana, killed vathsasura    and
Bakasura and punished  Kaliya    also

4.Dathvaa  abhayam cha punarathra nishi pravrudham,
Peethwaa thavagnimadha gokulamugra   vrushte,
Govardanocha  giri meka karena bhibrath,
Palo  abhirakshasya vimadhendra krutharhano  abhooth

After again giving protection to Kaliya, drinking   the fire,
That arose  in the forest and protected gokula from,
The torrential rain, by lifting   the govardhana  mountain,
By one hand, again he was worshipped by Indra who lost his pride

5.RasothsaveVruja vadhoobhiratho vihruthya,
Swananda  moorthiravadheennisi Chandra  choodam,
Paschadh arishta madha Kesi madham vidhaya,
Saakam balena madhuraam nagareem  jagaama

After pleaying Rasa  dance with the girls of vruja,
And that personification of joy agter killing Chandra  chooda,
At night and fought with arishta and kesi   and after  destroying their pride,
Along with Balarama went   to the city  of Mathura

6.Kubjaasudhamavaradho  rajakam  nihathya,
Chithwaa  dhanu   sa  nihathe bhavarodha  mallaan,
Kamsam cha samsaadhi   vimrudhya mudham swapiithro,
Rdathwa jarasutha balam   bahuso   jagaanaa

After giving boons to Kubja and Sudhama and killing Sudhaamaa,
Breaking the bow, killing the elephant    and later  the wrestlers,
Later killed Kamsa  in the court and with great joy  , got released,
His own father and  destroyed   the army  of Jarasandha.

7.Dwarawathim    puramadho  virachayya thasyaam,
Bandhoon nidhayaya yavanam muchukundha   drushtyaa,
Daghdhaawadha bheeshmasuthaadhi nijashta pathni,
Hasthan pragruhya murajinnarakam  mamardha.

Later constructing   Dwaraka and made   his,
Relations   stay there, made yavana burn by eyes  of Muchukunda,
He got married to   the daughter  of Bheeshmaka   and along with her
Got married to eight wives and killed  Mura   as well as Narakasura

8.Kanya sahasra varadhaan  prathi padhya devaan,
Nirjithya  kalpa tharumathmapuram  ninayaa,
Pradhumna mukhya thanayaan subahoon sa srushtwaa,
Krishnoda poundrka mukhasura  mardhano abhooth.

After marrying several thousand grls , after  winning over devas,
After bringing    the  give all karpaga tree   to his town,
After   giving birth to   several great sons like  Pradhyumna,
He killed   many asuras   like   Poundraka.

9.SAmsadhya dharma   thanayasya sa Raja sooyam,
Hathwaa adha thathra Shishupala Madhagrapoojaam,
agraaha theerna vana b=vasa mahamburase,
Parthasya   Saradhirabhooth kuru bhoomi yudhe.

He arranged  the Raja soya  of Dharma puthra,
And there killing Sisupala, he accepted  the Agra pooja,
And to Arjuna who crossed the ocean like  forest living,
He   accepted   to be charioteer  in the war   at Kuru kshethra

10.Duryodhanam saha  balena vinasaya parthaan,
Kruthwaa kramena chathurantharaathi naadhaan,
Nishkantakairnija janai  saputhra,
POuthra shshaasa jagathim  jagadheka nadha,

He killed Duryodhana along     with his army and in time,
Made Pandavas king off all  land in between the ocean,
Along with his relations    who did not have enemies,
He ruled the world     as its    single  lord.

11,Hathwaa Poothanikaam , bibhajya sakataa, vaatham nihathyarjunow,
Chithwaa vathsabakow    vinasaya   phanijith peethanala parvatham,
Dhruthwaa  gopa vadhu   prathoshya janakarthigno vrusham kesinam,
Jithwarjweem pranathaam  vidhaaya dhaurchidhye mallanahan .

Killing pothana, breaking Sakatasura, killing   thrunavartha,
Breaking the  Maruth trees, killing vathsa and Baka, winning over  Kaliya. Drinking forest fire,
Holding  the mountain , made Gopis happy, made parents happy, killed Kesi and Vrishabha,
Made a lady straight, broke   the bow, killed   the elephant  and the wrestlers,

12.Kamsarijitha  magadho   yavana jithsweeyaashta pathni pathi,
Hathvogram narakam vadhuthathivrutho jithwaa amaraan swastharum,
Labdhwaa poundraka kasi raja shishupalagna kurunaam balam,
Dagdhwaa saradhirjunasya jagatheem   Krishna   sasaasa  prabhu.

He killed Kamsa  , won over Jarasandha, won over Yavana, became  husband for eight queens,
Killed the fierce  Narakasura, lived with huge crowd of wives, won over  devas and got Parijatha,
Killed  Poundraka  , kasi Raja  , shishupala, destroyed    the army  of kurus  by becoming,
The charioteer of Arjuna and Lord  Krishna   thus  protected   the earth

13,Krishma poothanikarirastha sakato  vathanthaka  padhapa-,
CCheththa vathsa bakaahi jidh druthagiri  gopishtadho   arishta  hruth,
Kesigno hatha malla kamsa   yavanakshamaa jathiraapthaa  balaa,
SAahasthorjuna saaradhi kuru balam   hathwaa  raraksha  kshithim.

The enemy of Poothana Krishna , beoke the cart, killed Trinavarthaa,
Broke   the maruth trees, won over vathsa, baka and   Agaasura  ,
Lifted the mountain,  fulfilled   desire  of the Gopis, killed Arishta,
Killed kesi, kIlled wrestlers, kamsa, yavana  , Narerakamarried several thousand ladies,
Became   the charioteer  of Arjuna , destroyed  Kuru army and protected  the earth.

14.Kausalya sutha thatakamadha makha thratha munir sthrir hitha,
Chinneshvasana jaanaki vrutha vana vaasin  kharadhyanthaka,
Marichagna hanumadheesa, ravijarthichedha badhambudhe,
Sena bratha   sametha ravana ripo seetheshta  ramaava  maam.

The son of Kausalya, killer of THataka, protector of Yaga  of Vishwamithra, saved Ahalya,
Broke the bow  ,  married Janaki, lived  in the forest, killed  Khara   and others,
Killed Mareecha, became lord of Hanuman, removed the worries   of son of Sun God,
And along with army and brother, killed Ravana and  fulfilled desire  of Seetha

15,SAmgruhya   padma maya soothra varena Krishna-.
Ramavathara charitha midha rathna   rassim,
Thad baktha bhoosura kruthe akrutha vaadhiraja,
Mikshu padath   kavi kadambha kanta bhoosham.

Summarising in to lotus flowers  arranged  in a rope,
Is the gem of a story of incarnation of Rama  and Krishna,
Meant   for the   devotee  Brahmins was done  by Vadhiraja,
Which reads sweetly   and is an ornament to the neck of the devotees.

Bharathi Ramana mukhyaprananthargatha Sri Krishnarpanamasthu

This  which has been written by   worshipful Vadhi Raja,
And contains the  gem of the story  of Krishna and Rama in brief,
This is dedicated to  Krishna who  is  inside mind of Bharathiramana  Mukhyaprana(Madhvacharya)
