கண் விழி கண் விழி பிள்ளையார்பட்டியின்  கற்பக கணபதயே 

கரைந்தது காரிருள் புலர்ந்தது செவ்வொளி கதிரவன் தோன்றுகின்றான் 

 

Kan vizhi  , kan vizhi , pillayar  pattiyin karpaga  Ganapathiye

Karainthathu kaarirul, pularnthathu  chevvoli  kathiravan  thondrukindraam

 

Please  open your eyes, please open your eyes, Oh Ganapathi  of Pillayarpatti.

The darkness of night  has melted, The red light has started, The  sun is appearing

 

மூல முழுமுதல் யாவும் உன் செயலன்றோ நீயே உறங்கலாமோ?

யோக துயில் விடு கதவம் திறந்திடு பார் வந்து பாராய் நீ 

முன்னவா மூத்தவா உன்னை தொழாமல் உலகம் இயங்கிடுமா?

கண் விழி கண் விழி விண்ணையும் மண்ணையும் காப்பதும் கடன் அல்லவா?

 

Moola muzhu mudhal yaavum un cheyalandro, neeye  urangalamo?

Yoga  thuyil  vidu, Kathavam  thiranthidu, paar   vanthu  paaraai  nee

Munnavaa , moothavaa, Unnai  thozhaamal  ulagam  iyangidumaa

Kan vizhi , kan vizhi vinnayum mannayum kaapathum kadan allavaa?

 

From  the  very beginning, is not  everything  your work, Should  you yourself sleep?

Leave  this sleep of yoga, open the doors, see, please  come   and see,

Oh  first one, oh elder one, will  the world work, without   saluting you?

Open your eyes, Open your eyes, Is not protecting  heaven and earth  your  job?

 

யானைகள் பிளிறின ; சிங்கம் உறுமின  காடெல்லாம் கர்ஜனைகள் 

தேவரும் மூவரும் தேடியே வந்தனர். ஏற்றிடு அர்ச்சனைகள்.

யோகியர், ஞானியர் சித்தர்கள், பக்தர்கள், ஆவலாய் நிற்கின்றார்.

வேழ முகத்தனை காணவே பார்வதி ஓடோடிவந்தனள் காண்.

 

Yaanaikal pilirina, singam urumina, kaadellam,  garjanaikal,

Devarum  moovarum   thediye vanthanar, yethidu  archanaikal

Yogiyar, jnaniyar , chitharkal , bhaktharkal aavalaai   nirkindranar

Vezha mugathanai  kaanave parvathi  ododi  vanthanal  kaan

 

Elephants  are  trumpeting, lions   are  roaring, roaring sound  all over the forest

Devas and trinity  have come  in search of you, please  accept  the worships

Yogis, wise people Sidhas and  devotees have come with great desire

Please see that Parvathi  has come wuith desire   to see  elephant  faced one

 

தங்கத்தட்டினில் பொன் உடை அணி மணி திருமகள் கொண்டு வந்தாள் 

மஞ்சள் குங்குமம் திருநீறு சீர்வரிசை கலைமகள் ஏந்தி வந்தாள் .

ஆயிரம் தோழியர் அபிஷேக பொருட்களுடன் கங்கை நீராட்டவந்தாள் 

கோடி கோடியாய் மாலைகள் பூக்குவியல் மயிலேறி முருகன் வந்தான்.

 

Thanga  thattinil pon udai   ani mani  thirumagal  kondu vanthaal

Manjal  kumkumam thiruneeru  cheervarisai kalai  magal  yenthi vanthaal

Ayiram thozhiyar , abhishega porutkaludan  Gangai  neraatta  vanthaal

Kodi kodiyai Malaikal pookuviyal  mayileri murugan vanthaan

 

Goddess  Lakshmi came bringing golden dress and other materials  on a  golden plate

Goddess  Saraswathi  came holding  turmeric, kumkum , sacred  ashes  and presents

Riverrr   Gaaanga  aaalllooong with thousand female friends came with materials for bathing

Lord Muruga riding on o peacock came  with crores  garlands  and heaps of flowers

 

கின்னரர், கிம்புருடர், கந்தர்வர், நாரதர் இன்னிசை மீட்டுகின்றார்.

சப்த மாதரும் அரம்பையரும் வாசலில் கோலங்கள் தீட்டுகின்றார்.

ஒன்பது கோள்களும் வரிசையாய் நின்றன  உன் பதம் தரிசிக்கவே.

உறங்கியது போதும் உமையாள் திருமகனே எழுந்தருள் எழுந்தருள்க .

 

Kinnarar , kimpurdar  , gandharwar, naradhar  innisai  meetukindranar

Saptha matharum  arambayarum  vaasalil  kolam theettukindranar

Onpathu kolkalum  varisayai  nindrana un padha,  darisikkave

Urangiyathu pothum  , umayaal thirumagane, yezhantharul , yentharulga

 

kInnaras , kimpurushas  , Gandharwas   and Narada  are  playing sweet music

The  seven divine mothers, the divine  dancing girls are  drawing Rangoli   in the yard

The nine planets are  standing in a row   to see  yourself

Sleeping is sufficient, oh divine son of   Parvathy, please get up and bless , please get up

 

 

அப்பமொடு அவல்பொரி மோதகம் கொழுக்கட்டை லட்டுடன் அதிரசமே 

வாழைக்குலைகளும் கரும்பு தேன் பாகு வாயார ஊட்டிடுவோம்.

அரச மரத்தடி என்றால் பறவைகள்  இசை ஒலி  எழுப்பிவிடும் 

 மலைக்குகையில் அய்யா நீயே எழாமல் யாரென்ன செய்ய முடியும்?

 

Appamodu  aval  pori  modhakam  kozhukattai  laddudan   adhirasame

Vazhai  kulaikalum  karumbu , then paaku, vaayaara oottiduvom

Arasa  marathadi yendraal paravaikal  isai  oli yezhumbividum

Malai   guhayil  ayyaa  neeye  yezhaamal   yaarenna cheyya mudiyum?

 

Appam , aval pori, modhakas  , kozhukattai , laddu, adhirasam,

Bunches of  banana , sugarcane, juice of  honey we will feet  you in large  quanties

If it  is below the Peepal tree , birds would raise  musical sound

In the mountain cave  unless  you get  up what can be done?

 

துந்துபி முழங்குது சங்கொலி கேட்குது தூப தீபங்களே 

மத்தளம் தவில் மேள தாளங்கள் நாதஸ்வர ஓசையே 

கணங்களின் அதிபதி கஜபதி கணபதி கண் விழி கண் விழியே.

காலை பொழுதில் உன் கருணை  விழி கண்டால்தான்  வேலைகள் நடக்குமைய்யா.

 

Dunthubhi  Muzhanguthu, Sangoli  ketkkuthu, Dhoopa dheepangale,

Maddalam  Thavil  Mela Thalangal, Nadaswara  osaye

Ganangalin  Adhipathi  Gajapathi, Ganapathi, kan vizhi  kan vizhiye

Kaalai  pozhuthil un karunai  vizhi kandaal thaan velaikal  nadakkumayya

 

The Dundhubhi horns sounded, the sound of conch is heard, Oh incense  Ofh lamps

Oh sound of Maddala(drum) thavil , otherpercussion instruments

Gajapathi  is the leader  of Ganas and so he  is Ganapathi, please  open your  eyes, open your eyes

Only if we see your merciful   eyes  in the morning  , our Jobs   can be done

 

 

 ஒருமணிக்கொருமணி எதிரெதிர் ஒலித்திட ஒய்யார நடை நடந்து வா.

பெரும் செவிகள் இருமருங்கும் வெண்சாமரம் வீச அசைந்தாடி வருக அய்யா .

ஓம் எனும் பிரணவம் உருவாகி வந்த முகம் உன் முகம் காட்டிடைய்யா 

வலம்புரி கரத்தினால் ஜெயம்  என்று வாழ்த்திட வந்திடு வந்திடய்யா

 

Oru  manikku  oru  mani yethir yethir olithida oyyaara  nadai  nadanthu vaa

Perum chevikal, iru marungum  ven chamaram veesa  asainthaadi  varuka ayyaa

Om  yenum pranavam  unuvaagi vantha mukam  un mukham kaattitadayya

Valam puri  karathinaal  jayam yendru   vaazhthida  vanthidayya

 

With  bells one  after  ringing , please come walking  majestically

With  your  big ears , fan  like  white  chowrie , come shaking and  dancing

Your face has been formed by om which is pranava, please show  your face

Please come  to greet  victory  to us by your trunk  turned  right

 

தும்பிக்கை தூக்கியே நம்பிக்கை தந்தருள் அன்புக்கு வசப்படுவாய் .

 திங்களைச் சூடிடும் சங்கரன் புதல்வனே மங்களம் தந்திடுவாய்.

பேறுகள் பதினாறு பிள்ளையாரே உந்தன் பெயர்களும் பதினாரென்பார் 

யாரதை  ஓதுவார் அவர்களின் இல்லத்தில் பால் பொங்க செய்திடுவாய்.

 

Thumbikkai  thookkiye  nambikkai  thanthu arul  , anbukku   vasa  paduvai

THingalai  choodidum  Sankaran pudhalvane mangalam thanthiduvai

Perukal   pathinaaru   pillayaare  , undhan peyarkalum pathinaarenbaar

Yaara adhai   odhuvaar  avarkal  illathil  paal ponga   cheithiduvai

 

Please  lift up your trunk and bless  us with faith, Oh Lord   who is amenable to affection

Oh Son of Sankara  who wears  the moon, please grant  us auspiciousness

They say there are sixteen great  things to get and they say   your  names are   also sixteen

Whosoever reads please make  to make  milk   to boil  in their homes

 

குன்ற குடியனும் கந்தனின் திருத்தலம் அடுத்து  உன் இருப்பிடம்.

தம்பிக்கு அருகிலே வந்து நீ அமர்ந்தது எங்களின் அதிர்ஷ்டமைய்யா.

 ஆறடி உயரம் அர்த்த சித்திரம் அழகோ அழகு  அய்யா.   

தேஸி விநாயகா திவ்யஸ்வரூபனே எழுக! எழுந்தருள்க.

 

Kundrakudiyanum Kandhanin  thiruthalam    aduthu   un yirippidam

THambikku arugile   vanthu  nee amarnthathu yengalin  athirshtamayyaa

AAradi uyaram   artha  chithiram, azhago  azhagu ayyaa

DEsi  Vinayagar dhivya  swaroopane, yezhuga  , yezhuntharulga

 

Your residence  is near  the divine  temple of Muruga  near kundrakkudi

It is our luck that   you can came   and sat near your brother

The six feet tall  , the picture  of half of you  is pretty   and greatly pretty

Oh divine  form of Desi vinayaga, Please get  up, Please  come

 

இடக்கரம் இடையிலே வலக்கரம் மோதகம், இது ஒரு விநோதமைய்யா 

மடித்திருக்கும் தொடை தொந்தியை தாங்கிடும் விசித்திரக் கோலமைய்யா .

மாபாரதம் எழுத தந்தம் உடைத்ததை மறக்க முடியாதய்யா. 

நீயில்லாதோரு பொருள் நினக்குமேல்  ஒரு தலைவன் யாரும் இல்லையய்யா .

 

Idakkaram idayile, valakkarammodhakam , ithu oru vinodhamayya

Madithirukum  thodai   thonthiyai  thaangidum   vichithra  kolamayya

Maabharatham   yezhutha  dantham   udaithathai   marakka mudiyaathayya

Neeyillathoru porulninakkumel   oru thalaivan  yaarum illai  ayya

 

The left hand  on   your hip , Modhaka on the right hand, this  is very strange

The folded  thigh which supports   your  paunch   is a wonder

We cannot forget how you broke your tusk   to write Maha Bharatham

WE are not able to imagine  a thing without you, there is no leader   greater  than you

 

அருள் வெள்ளம் பெருகும் சிறு விழிகள் காட்டி எம்மை ஆட்கொள்ள  வருக அய்யா 

துதிக்கை தலைவன் ஒரு மூச்சு விட்டாலே சோர்வெல்லாம் நீங்குமைய்யா.

அடிமேல் அடிவைத்து அசைந்தாடி வரும் உந்தன்  அற்புத கோலமெங்கே?

வழிமேல் விழி வைத்து காத்துளோம் வருகவே! வருக நீ வருக அய்யா

 

Arul  vella,  perugum chiru  vizhikal kaatti   yemai aatkolla varuga ayyaaa

THudikkai  thalaivan oru moochu  vittale chorvellam,  neengum ayya

Adi mel adi vaithu asainthaadi  varum   undhan arpudha  kolamenge

Vazhi mel vizhi vaithu kaathullom  varukave, varuka nee varuka   ayya

 

.Showing your small eyes from which grace  flows, please come to make me yours oh lord

If the lord with trunk  leaves  a breath all our  tiredness  would go away

Where is  t your  wonderful form which comes  keeping step after step,

We are  waiting  keeping our eye on the way., Please come , You please come, please  come oh lord

 

'கம்'என்ரிருவென   நீ சொல்வதின் பொருளதைக் கண்டுகொண்டோம் அய்யா 

உன் மந்திரம் அதை உறைபவர் வாழ்வினில் சகல சௌபாக்யமய்யா.

 நெற்றிக்கண் கங்கை சடைமுடி இளம்பிறை சிவன் மகன் நீ அல்லவா 

பற்றெல்லாம் உன்னிடம் வைத்துவிட்டோம் அய்யா.  பார்த்திட ஓடி வந்தோம்.

 

“gam”   yendrervena  nee  solvathin porulathai , kandu  kondom ayya

Un manthiram,  athai   araibavar  vaazhvinil sakala saubhagyamappaa

Nethri kan gangai   sadai mudi ilam pirai  shivan magan nee allavaa

Pathellam unnidam vaithu vittom, ayyaa  paarthida  odi  vanthom

 

Oh Lord we understood  the meaning of telling your Manthra  “gam”

Your manthra brings all sort  of  luck  to those   who chant it

Are  you not the son of  Shiva  with  rye in forehead, ganges matted tuft and the  young crecent

WE have kept   all our attachments with you, Oh lord we  came running  to see you

 

 ஒளவையர் சொன்ன மொழி அகவல் அதன் தகவல் அதை அறியவே ஆவல் கொண்டோம்.

உன்னோடு சேர்கின்ற உபாயம் அது என்னவென உணர்த்தினால் பிழைத்துக்கொள்வோம்.

 ஆவணி திங்களில் சதுர்த்தியில் அவதாரம் அதிசயம் அதிசயம் தான்.

தேவனின் திருமேனி மனிதனின் சாயலோடு வேழமுகமும் விந்தைதான்.

 

Avvayaar  chonna  mozhi agaval, athan thagaval athai  ariyave  aaval  kondom

Unnodu  cherkindra  upaayam athu  yenna vendru  unarthinaal pizhaithu kolvom

AAvani  thingalil chathurthiyil  avathaaram  athisayam, athisayam thaan

Devanin thirumeni manathanin  chaayalodu vezhamugamum   vinthai  thaan

 

We became desirous   of knowing the import of  Agaval  told  by  Avvayaar  in our language

If it makes  us understand the way   to join you  , we will  be  able  to escape

It is a wonder that you were born in AAvani month in the chathurthi

It is a miracle that the body of divine god has man’s form and elephant  head

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

எத்தனையோ வடிவம் எடுத்தாய் உலகெங்கும் நித்தநித்தம்  பூஜையே.

 இல்லாத இடமில்லை இல்லாத பொருளில்லை இல்லாத காலமில்லை.

மண்ணில் சாணத்தில் மஞ்சளில் பிடித்தாலும் எண்ணிய உடன் வருவாய் 

இன்னுமா உறக்கம் எழுந்தருள் எழுந்தருள்! எண்களைக்  காத்தருள்வாய்.

 

Yethanayo   vadivam  yeduthaai , ulagengum  nitham nitham  poojaye

Illatha  idamillai , illatha porul  illai , illatha kaalamillai

Mannil   chaanathil manjalil  pidithaalum  yenniya  udan varuvai

Innumaa  urakkam  yezhuntharul   yezhunthrul , yengalai  kaatharulvai

 

You took several forms, worship to you  is throut the world  and on all days

There  is no place where  you are not there, there is nothing where  you are not there, there is no time when you are  not there

Whether  we make you using mud or cowdung or  turmeric, you will come  as soon as we think about you

Still  in sleep., please  get up, get up, please protect us

 

 எளிமையின் சிகரமே எருக்கம் பூ என்றாலும் ஏற்றிடும் பெரும்தெய்வமே!

இதயத்தில் நீ வரும் மணியோசை கேட்கிறது  தவசுப்ரபாதம் அய்யா

 

Yelimayin  sigarame , yerukkam  poo yendraalum   yethidum parum deivame

Idayathil  nee varum   maniyosai   ketkkirathu  , thava suprabatham ayya

 

Oh peak of simplicity, Oh great God   who accepts  even if if it is Calotropis flower

I am hearing the sound of bell of your coming, Oh Lord  , May morning  be good to you

 

உதித்திடும் சூரியன் உலா வரும் முன்னரே நினைப்பது உன்னாலயம் 

விழித்ததும் துதிப்பது விநாயகண திருப்பதம்,  வெற்றி மேல் வெற்றி சேரும்.

 

Udhithidum  sooriyan  ulaa  varum munnare ninaippathu  unnalayam

Vizhithathum  thuthippathu  vinayakana  thirupadham, vethri mel vethri  vanthu cherum

 

If one thinks  about your temple before the rising  sun  starts moving in the sky

And if your divine feet is prayed  to as soon as one wakes up, he will get  victory  after  victory

Chetti naattar  pothum pillayar  pattiyin  chelvame  , chelvam yenbom
