1.Padham panivom  , guru  padham  panivom,

Padham panivom, guru  padham panivom

Bharathathai  valam  vantha  thiru padham  panivom

 

We will  bow  before  the feet, bow before feet of the Guru,

We will  bow  before  the feet, bow before feet of the Guru,

We will bow before the divine feet which went  around India

 

2.Aananda  koothanin  aadiya paadham,

Anantha sayanane  thediya  padham,

Thaan   antham illaathaan thalir  kondrai  paadham

Aanandam  nitham arul advaitha  padham

 

The dancing feet  of the dancer  of joy,

The feet which was searched  by him who slept  on adhi sesha

That feet as soft  as new leaf of him   who does not have  end for himself,

That   feet  of Advaitha which blesses  joy daily

 

3.Naaranan brammanai  yethitta  paadham,

Trimurthiyai arul   sri  Datha  paadham

Guru  moorthiyai  vandha  kaladi  paadham

Arul moorthiyai arul thiru  kanchi  paadham

 

That feet which  Lord  Vishnu  allowed Lord Brahm to climb

That feet  of Dathathreya, who blessed  becoming  the trinity  of Gods

The feet  of Kaladi which came  as the great  Guru

That  divine feet of Kanchi which blessed  as god of blessing

 

4.Aaladi  amarnthu arul aadhi  Guru Paadham

Maal  avan kaanaa   aruneswarar paadam

Kalavayil  udhithitta kaarunya  padham

Kaladi  panivorkku kayilaayan paadham

 

The feet of blessed   first Guru   who sat  in aladi

The feet of Arunachala which could not be seen by  Vishnu himself

The merciful feet that arose  in Kalavai

The  feet of Lord shiva to those  who bow in kaladi(or before his feet)
