சமயபுரத்து மாரியம்மா

சடுதியிலே வந்திடம்மா

சங்கடங்கள் தீர்த்து எமை

சத்தியமாய்க் காத்திடம்மா

 

Samaya  purathu  Mariyamma

Saduthiyile  vanthidamma

Sangadangal theerthu  yemai

Sathiyamai  kathidamma

 

Oh Mariyamma  of Samayapuram

Please  come  with great  haste

Putting  to an  to sorrows,

Please  protect us   truely

 

எத்திசையை நோக்கிடினும்

எண்ணங்கள் ஓடுதம்மா

எல்லையில்லா உன் கருணை

தொல்லைகளைத் தீர்க்குதம்மா

 

Yethisayai  nokkidinum

Yennangal  oduthamma

Yellayilla  un karunai

Thollaikalai    theerkkuthamma

 

Whivhever  side  we see,

Our  thoughts are running

Your   endless  mercy

Is  putting an end  to  problems

 

பாலாபிஷேகம் செய்திடுவேன்(மன)

பாரத்தை மறந்திடுவேன்

பாசத்தை என்மீது

பரிவுடனே பொழிந்திடம்மா

 

Palabhishekam cheithiduven(mana)

Bharathai  maranthiduven

Paasathai  yen meethu

Parivudane  pozhinthidamma

 

I would annoint you with milk

I will forget  my heaviness  of heart

Please  pour your affection,

On me with tenderness.

 

தயிரும் இளநீரும்

பன்னீரும் சந்தனமும்

மஞ்சள் குங்கும்மும்

அபிஷேகம் செய்திடுவேன்

 

Thayirm, ilaneerum

Pannerum   chandanamum

Manjal  kumkumamum

Abhishekam cheithiduven

 

Curd  , tender  coconut water

Rose  water , sandal paste

Turmeric  and Kumkum,

I will annoint   you with

 

 

தங்க சரிகையுடன்

தாவணியும் சாத்திடுவேன்

தங்க ரேக்குடனே

தாழம்பூ சாத்திடுவேன்

 

Thanga  sarikayudan

THavaniyum chathiduven

THanga  rekkudane

THazhampoo   Charthiduven

 

I would  make you wear   upper cloth,

Along with golden  Zari

I would offer  you Thazhampoo(pandanus)

With    golden    shine

 

மல்லிகை மரிக்கொழுந்து

முல்லை மூவரளி

சண்பகம் செந்தாமரை

கொத்துக் கொத்தாய்ப் பூக்கும்

 

Mallikai  , mari kozhunthu

Mullai  moovarali

Chanpakam chenthamarai

KOthu  kothai pookkum

 

Chrysanthymum, Davana leaves

Jasmine  , three types of Arali

Champaka and red lotus

Would flower in bunches and bunches

 

கொடிசம்பங்கியுடன் பிச்சி

பாரிஜாதம் கதிர்ப்பச்சை

சாமந்தி என்று பல

மலர்களினால் அர்ச்சிப்பேன்

 

Kodi sampangiyudan   Pichi

Parijatham  , kadhir pachai

Samanthi  yendru  pala

Malarkalaal  Archippen

 

Climbing champa flower, JajiMalli

Parijatha, green bunches

And chryanthymum

I would use  these  flowers to worship

 

மாக்கோலம் போட்டதனில்

மாவிளக்கும் ஏற்றி வைத்து

மாரியம்மன் தாலாட்டும்

மனமுருகப் பாடிடுவேன்

Maavilakkum  yethri  vaithu

Mariyamman   thalattum

Manamuruga  padiduven

 

After  drawing  white rANGOLI with flour

I will light  the maaviakku

And with a melting  sing,

Mariyamman  thalattu

 

சர்க்கரைப் பொங்கலிட்டு

வெற்றிலை பாக்கும் வைத்து

தேங்காய்  பழங்களுடன்

கற்பூரம் காட்டிடுவேன்

 

 Charkarai pongalittu

Vethrilai  paakkum vaithu

Thengai  pazhangaludan

Karpooram kaattiduven

 

After making sweet  pongal,

After keeping betel leaves  and nut,

Along with   coconut  and banana fruit,

I would show the camphor also.

 

பளபளக்கும் உன்மேனி

பார்த்திட மனம் குளிருதம்மா

பரவசமாய் உன்னிடமே

பணிந்திடுவேன் அனுதினமே

 

Pala palakkum  un meni

Parthida  manam  kuliruthamma

Paravasamai  unnidame

Paninthiduven  anudhiname

 

Your   body  would shine and glitter,

And when seen the mind would become cool

And daily with  spiritual ecstasy,

I would  daily   salute you.

 

மக்கள் குலம் தழைத்திடவே

மாதேவி நேரில் வந்து

என் எதிரில் நின்றிடம்மா

எனையாளும் ஈஸ்வரியே.

 

Makkal kulam   thazhaithidave

Madevi neril vanthu,

Yen yethiril  nindridamma

Yenai aalum   easwariye

 

For  the people of the world to become prosperous

Oh great goddess , come  in person,

And   stand  before me,

Oh goddess  who rules me
