Nayakiye devi  Kamashi

Nama  Koti nayakiye-Kanchi

Kama koti vasiniye

 

Oh Nayaki, Oh Goddess  Kamakshi

Who grants good things, if  we tell your name

Oh Nayaki  with one crore names-Who lives

In Kanchi  Kamakoti

 

2.Vinnai aalum  Visalakshi

Mannin  thalathil vanthu  amarnthai

Manalan  udalil  Bagam  perthrida

Mannil   cheithai  Lingame, dhiname

 

Oh Visalakshi  who rules  the heaven

You came  and sat in a place of earth

For getting share of your husbands  body

You made a linga out of mud , daily

 

3.Annamalayai  adainthitta devi

Unna mulayai udan amarnthai

Pennai oar oar bhagam pethrida  , Shivane

Ponnai  minnum malayaanaan, pasum

 

Oh Goddess  who reached  Annamalai

You sat with  him as goddess  Unnamulai

Lord   shiva himself to get a part of a lady

Became  a pure   gold  mountain

 

4.Than nigar illaa  thalamaam  Kanchiyil

Kan kavar  devi , Kamakshi

Un nigar  illai  ulagil   thaaye

Pon nigar varangal  arulbavale, yendrum

 

In the Kanchi whi is a place without any comparison

Kamakshi who attracts  the eyes

Oh mother , like  you no one is there

Who grants golden boons  on all days

 

5.Kannal unnai  kaanum  pere

Kan pethra  palanaal pethrene

Kan kolla kakakshi kanden indre

Kan asaival  mella chirithaye, Chandana

 

tHe  great luck of seeing by my eyes

I got because  , I have got eyes

I saw today a scene which is beyond eyes

You slowly smiled by movement of your sandal eyes
