Kandorundo yende  Kannane –neela,

Thandar ani mani  vannane

Kandal  kothikkum  yen kannane ningal

Kandaayo  thamara  kannane

 

Are there  any one  who has seen my darling Krishna,

The gem coloured  child wearing blue  ornaments

If  you see my darling Krishna  , you will become jealous,

Have you seen my  lotus eyed one

 

Vennayum paalum  nukaruvaan, charu

Nrutham   chavittunna  balane

Kannanam unniye kanduvo  ningal

Unni gopalane  kanduvo?

 

For tasting butter   and milk , That boy

Would  dance  with pretty   steps

Have you seen that  boy kannn, Have you,

Seen the  child   Gopala

 

Kolum  kuzhalumai   yeppozhum  kochu

Kali   kidangale  meykkuvaan

Go loka palakan aanu avan, nithyam

Bololoka   palanum  aanallo?

 

With stick   and a flute   for all times to herd,

Young little baby cattle

He is the one who protects the golokaAnd is he not

One   who daily protects  the earth also?

 

Pullankuzhal oothi vannavan  kaattil

Ullasamayi nadannavan

Mallane  poraadi  vennavan , kochu

Mallakshhimarumai  ninnavan

 

He  came  playing the flute and 

Walked  in the forest  with great  happiness,

The won who fought  with wrestlers   and won

He who stood with little girls with  flower like eyes

 

Pavathathe pokki  ninnavan , kamsa

Garvankale   thachu konnavan

Sarva  lokatheyum  vennavan , nithyam

Sarvarkkumm  sampoojyanaanavan

 

He who stood  lifting the mountain, He who beat,

And killede   the prides  of Kamsa

He who won over all the world, and he,

Who is  fit to be worshipped by all.
