Oh Maha Periyava   who is incarnation of  Sankara  who did penance

Oh  Maha Periyava who puts an end to sorrows,

OH Maha Periyava who has name  of divine  music

 

Sankaranai aaladiyil amarntha thiruve-Aadhi

Sanghu chakra  nadhan paniyumSankareswaraa-Mana

Oh Divine who sat as Sankara below the banyan tree

The early  Guru who sat as Sankara  in Kaladi

Oh  God Sankara who lord lord of conch and wheel,

Oh Lord of Kanchi bless us by removing mental   sorrows

Oh God of all all  who loved  Sankhupushpa, lord
