Ananda  Dayaka  Palaya maam

Nana  Jagathinde Naadhanaakum

Karunya Varidhe  Kai THozhunnen

 

Oh God of the divinr  , friend of the oppressed

One who grants joy, Protect me

Oh  ocean of mercy who is   the lord

Of various worlds  , I salute you

 

Manasatharil ulla  aadhi theerppan

Mathi choodanaakiya  devanathre

 

The suffering   of the mind would be removed

By the  God who wears the  moon

 

Shiva pooja yenniye janmam yekaan

Sariyalle  DEvan  Mathiyulagil

 

To grant birth without  worship of  Lord Shiva

This God is sufficient    in this world

 

Varidhiyil   veenu uzhannedunna

Yezhakal aayore  kathidena,

 

The poor  people and others    who suffer  on this,

Earth    should be protected

 

Yama Bhatar odi aduthidumbol

Keduthiye theerppathum nee thaan allo

Hara , Hara , Shiva, Shiva thamburaane

Durithangal eesaathe  kaathidenam

 

When soldiers  of Yama come running and approach near

Are you not the one who puts an end to problems

Hara, Hara , Shiva , Shiva , oh Lord Shiva

Please protect us from sufferings attacking us

 

Nalla Guna dosha vaakyangal otheeduvaan

Hara  hara Sankara kai thozhunnen

I never  have  peace of mind   due to sickness  affecting me

For  cutting alongroots the  illness   that  has  matured

I do not have   the look of mercy  of lord Shiva on me

Please make me merge with  lotus feet of Shiva  who  is Shambhu

The act of keeping daughter  of big mountain on his left

And on the path he gave her  half his body

And again wore   on his head Ganga and moon

Yerinja kannil  agniyode Yamane yonnu  nokkanam
