Sri Vishnu  Vijaya stotram

The prayer  of victory to Lord Vishnu

Deva ouchu:-

Devas told

 

1.Natha  sma Vishnum  jagad  aadhi bhootham  sura surendram jagatham prapalakam

Yannabhipadmathkila padma  yonir bhabhuva tham  vai  Saranam  gatha sma

 

Be a devotee  of Vishnu, the first being of universe, the lord of devas and asurasand one who nurtures  the world

In the  lotus on his  belly button, all the   world   takes birth, And  I surrender to him

 

2.Namo nama  mathsya vapurdharaayaa, namosthu kachapa  roopa dharine

NamaPrakoormascha  nrusimha roopa dharine thadhaa punar  vamane  roopine  nama

 

Salutations to him who took form of fish, Salutationa  to one who took form of turtle

Salutations to one who became boar, m, then man lion  and later    again Vamana

 

3.Namosthu they, kshaatra vinasanaayaa, ramaya ramaya dasasya  naasine

Prralamba hanthre  sithi vasase namo namosthu Budhaya   cha  daithya  mohine

 

Salutations to him who ends enmity , The Rama , the rama   who killed  ten headed one

Destroyer of prominence, one who dresses in blackl, salutations, he who by his intellence  attracted an asura

 

4.Mlechantha  kaayaapi  cha kalki naanne  nama, puna  kroda  vapurdharaaya

Jagadhidartha cha yuge bhavan vibharthi roopam thwasura  bhavaaya

 

For extreminatting  Mlechas   you will become Kalki and who will take form of hog

For saving the universe  in every eons  you would take a different form with form of devas

 

5.Nishoodhi thoyam hyaadhunaa kila thwayaa  daithyo hiranyaksha ithi  pragalbha

Yasche chandra  mukhyaan  kila  loka palaan samhelayaa  chaiva  thirascha kara

 

You are drenched in water  of slaughter by killing expert asuras  like  Hiranyaksha

You also disregarded the kimngs  with queens and   avoided them

 

6.SA vai  thwayaa  deva hithartha meva nipathitho deva dhara praseedha

THwamasya viswasya visarga karthaa Brahmena roopena cha   deva deva

 

And you   for the sake of good to the devas fell deva dhara and pleased them

You arte the cause  of splendor of earth in the form of Brahma, oh god of gods

 

7.Pathaa  thwa mevasya yuge yuge cha roppani dathse sumanoharaani

Thwameva kalagni harascha bhoothwaa viswam kshayam  neshyasi cha antha kaale

 

By you in different eons several    forms    which are    handsome   are taken

You are  the killing fire destroying the  beings,  terminating the world at   time of deluge

 

8.Atho bhavaneva cha viswa karana na the   param  jeevam ajeevam eesa

Yathkincha bhootham  cha bhavishya roopam pravarthamanam cha thadheva  roopam

 

And you also are the cause of the world, the divine one who is god of living and  not living

And  you are also the form of   past and future, assuming which you    act

 

9.SArvam thwamevaasi  chara charaakhyaam  ne bhaathi  viswam thwadhyathe na kinchith

Astheethi  naastheethi chabhedhaanishtam  thwayyeva bhaatham  sadha sath swaroopam

 

Though you  are all that moves  and does not move, The world not even a little  loks like it

Having or not having the differences, you assume the forms that   are liked by you

 

10.THatho bhavantham kathamopi deva na jnathum arhathya vipakwa budhi

Rithe bhavath padha  parayanam janam  thenaagathaa sma  Saranam saranyam

 

Though happening like that oh God , I do not know  the proper mature  knowledge

And in the world people worship your feet and  surrender  to you becoming one surrendered to you

 

Vyasa Uvacha:-

Sage Vyasa said:-

 

11. Thatho  Vishnu  prasannathma uvacha tridivoukasa

Thushtosmi devaa  Bhadram  vo  yushman stotrena saampratham

 

Then Vishni    became very happy and told those aseembled

I am happy devas, Those who chant   this prayer  would be safe

 

12.Ya idham prapadeth bhakthyaa   vijaya stotram aadaraath

Na thasya durlabham Devasthrishu lokeshu kinchana

 

If one reads this Vijaya prayer   with devotion  and respect

They will never suffer  any shortage  for any thing in the three worlds

 

13.Gavaam   satha sahasrasya samyag dathasya yath phalam

THath phalam samavaapnothi keerthanaa sravanaa nara

 

The result of giving in charity hundreds and thousands of cow

Would be got to the man who sings   or hears  this prayer

 

14.Sarva kama pradham nithyam deva devasya  keerthanam

Atha paramMaha jnanam  na bhootham na bhavishyathi

 

This song of God  of Gods grantds all desres  daily,

From then on , you will get great knowledge which is not in past nor in future

 

Ithi Padma puranoktham   Vishnu Vijaya   Stotram sampoornam

 

Thus  ends the prayer of victory of Vidhnu which occurs in Padma  Purana
