(once two poor parents  approached   Thiru arut prakasa vallalar   with their two sons who were not able to learn anything.  The Swami went inside and then parents thought that he has gone inside to chant a manthra  to make them all right.He came back and told them, that chanting manthra   would not improve  the children  and gave them a three verse prayer   which should be chanted by the children so that they would become great.He  also told them that   if the children do not chant it, the parents can chant  and make them hear  -Thanks http://rightmantra.com/?p=22090  )

1. தவளமலர்க் கமலமிசை வீற்றிருக்கும் அம்மனையைச் சாந்தம் பூத்த
குவளைமலர்க் கண்ணாளைப் பெண்ணாளும் பெண்ணமுதைக் கோதி லாத
பவளஇதழ்ப் பசுங்கொடியை நான்முகனார் நாஓங்கும் பாவை தன்னைக்
கவளமத கயக்கொம்பின் முலையாளைக் கலைமாதைக் கருது வோமே.

 

Davala malar  Kamala misai veetrirukkum , Ammanaye  , Santham pootha,

Kuvalai  malar kannalai, pennalum pennamudhai, kothilaatha

Pavala idhazh pasum kodiyai, naan mukanaar  naaongum Pavai thanai

Kavalamatha  kaya kombin , mulayaalai, kalai  mathai   karuthuvome

 

The goddess   who sits on white  lotus  flower playing music,

She who has  peaceful eyes   similar  to the Kuvalai(water lily)  flower

She whois nectar like female   who is a model  lady

She who is the tender climbing plant with coral leaf without defects

She  who is the lady   who   is on the  toungue  of Lord Brahma

She who has breasts which are like  the vessel feeding food to elephant  , let us think about her

 

2. சங்கம்வளர்ந் திடவளர்ந்த தமிழ்க்கொடியைச் சரச்சுவதி தன்னை அன்பர்
துங்கமுறக் கலைபயிற்றி உணர்வளிக்கும் கலைஞானத் தோகை தன்னைத்
திங்கணுதல் திருவைஅருட் குருவைமலர் ஓங்கியபெண் தெய்வந் தன்னைத்
தங்கமலை முலையாளைக் கலையாளைத் தொழுதுபுகழ் சாற்று கிற்பாம்.

 

Sangam  valarnthida   valarntha  tamizh kodiyai, Saraswathai  thannai, anbar

Thungamura kalai  payithi unarvalikkum kalai jnana  thogai thannai

Thinganuthal thiruvai, arul kuruvai, malar ongiya   pen deivam thannai

Thangamalai  mulayaalai, kalayaalai thozhuthu  pugazh chaathu kirppaam

 

TheSaraswathi who is  the tamil plant which  grew when Tamil   sangam grew,

Who is the wing of  wisdom and arts who taught arts    and made people great

She who had forehead like crescent, who is the graceful  teacher,

Whe who is the  goddess   who   sat  on the  flower

She who has breasts  like golden mountain,Let us  salute arts and chant her fame

 

3. கலைபயின்ற உளத்தினிக்குங் கரும்பினைமுக் கனியைஅருட் கடலை ஓங்கும்
நிலைபயின்ற முனிவரரும் தொழுதேத்த நான்முகனார் நீண்ட நாவின்
தலைபயின்ற மறைபயின்று மூவுலகும் காக்கின்ற தாயை வாகைச்
சிலைபயின்ற நுதலாளைக் கலைவாணி அம்மையைநாம் சிந்திப் போமே.

 

Kalai  payindra ulathinikkum karumbinai, mukkaniyai, arut  kadalai, ongum

Nilai payindra   munivararum  thozhuthu yetha naan mukanaar neenda  naavin

Thalai  payindra marai  payindru, moovulakum   kaakkindra thaayai, vaakai

Chilai payindra nuthalaalai , kalai vani  ammayai  , naam chinthippome

 

She who is the cane which is sweet to the mind  which has learnt arts,

She who is three  type of fruits(Jack, banana and Mango), she who is  ocean of bliss

She  who is the mother of three  worlds who learnt the Vedas from ,

The long tougue of Lord Brhama  who is saluted  and praises,

By  the rare sages who have established  themselves as great,

Who has  a forehead decorated by  a crown,

Who is Kalaivani, let us think about her
