The Eight lines   on Rama

(I downloaded it   feeling it is a eight  verse prayer of Rama,

It was eight line prayer.The first four lines  were  ,

Prayer to Rama   and Krishna  and last  four lines

Were one sloka  Ramayana)

 

हे रामा पुरुषोत्तमा नरहरे नारायणा केशव।

गोविन्दा गरुड़ध्वजा गुणनिधे दामोदरा माधवा।।

 

Hey  Ramaa  Purushothamaa narahare Narayana  Kesava

Govindhaa, Garuda  dwajaa , Guna nidhe  Damodhara madhava

 

Hey Rama , greatest Purusha(male) .lord Narasimha, Narayana  , Kesava

Govindha  , he who has garuda in flag, the treasure  of good qualities  , Damodhara , Madhava

  

हे कृष्ण कमलापते यदुपते सीतापते श्रीपते।

बैकुण्ठाधिपते चराचरपते लक्ष्मीपते पाहिमाम्।।

 

Hey Krishna  , kamalapathe  , Yadhupathe , Sitapathe, sripathe

Vaikuntadhipathe   , charachara  pathe , Lakshmi pathe, Pahi maam

 

Hey Krishna , Lord of Lakshmi, Lord  of Yadhu clam , Lord of Sita , Lord  of Lakshmi

The ruling   lord of Vaikunta, Lord of moving and not moving beings, Lord of Lakshmi  , protect me

 

आदौ रामतपोवनादि गमनं हत्वा मृगं कांचनम्।

वैदेही हरणं जटायु मरणं सुग्रीव सम्भाषणम्।।

बालीनिर्दलनं समुद्रतरणं लंकापुरीदाहनम्।

पश्चाद्रावण कुम्भकर्णहननं एतदधि रामायणम्।।

 

Aadhou Rama thapo vanu anu ghamanam, hathwaa mrugam Kanchanam

Vaidehi   haranam, Jatayu maranam , Sugreeva  sambashanam

Bali nirdalanam,  samudhra  tharanam , lanka  puri dhahanam

Paschad   Ravana  KumbhakarnaHananam , Yethath  ithi   Ramayanam

 

Once Rama went to forest,
He chased the deer,
Sitha was kidnapped,
Jatayu was killed, There were talks with Sugreeva,
Bali  was killed,
The sea was crossed,
Lanka was burnt,
And later Ravana and Kumbha karna,
Were also killed.
This in short is the story of Ramayanam.
