പണ്ടുകാലത്ത് ചൊല്ലിയിരുന്ന,

ഇപ്പോഴും പലരും ചൊല്ലാറുള്ള

ആ സന്ധ്യാനാമം ഇതാ

 

The  sandhya nama   which  people  use to tell in ancient times

And  being  chanted  now also , is given below

സക്തികൂടാതെ നാമങ്ങളെപ്പൊഴും

ഭക്തിപൂണ്ടു ജപിക്കണം നമ്മുടെ

സിദ്ധികാലം കഴിവോളമീവണ്ണം

ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ വസിക്കേണമേവരും.

കാണാകുന്ന ചരാചരജാതിയെ

നാണം കൈവിട്ടു കൂപ്പിസ്‌തുതിക്കണം.

 

Sakthi  koodaathe  namangal  yeppoozhum

Bakthi poondu  japikkanam  , nammude

Sidhi  kalam  kazhivolam yivvannam

Sradhayode   vasikkanam yeppozhum

Kaanakunna   charachara  jaathiye

Nanam  kai vittu  kooppi  sthuthikkanam

 

Without  any expectations  , always  chant ,

God’s names with  devotion  and up to

The  time of  farewell to earth , we should  live like that

And we  should  live with faith    always

WE should  with  folded hands praise

All the  moving and not moving beings without shyness

 

ഹരിഷാശ്രുപരിപ്പുതനായിട്ടു

പരുഷാദികളൊക്കെസ്സഹിച്ചുടൻ

സജ്ജനങ്ങളെക്കാണുന്ന നേരത്തു

ലജ്ജ കൂടാതെ വീണു നമിക്കണം.

 

Harshasru  paripluthanaayittu

Parishaadhikale  sahichudan

Sajjananga;e  kaanunna  nerathu

Lajja koodaathe  veenu  namikkanam

 

Getting  drowned  in the tears of joy

Ignoring  all  the  bad  words

When we  see  good people

Without shame  we should salute them falling on  the ground

 

ഭക്തിതന്നിൽ മുഴുകിച്ചമഞ്ഞുടൻ

മത്തനെപ്പോലെ നൃത്തം കുതിക്കണം.

മോഹംതീർന്നു മനസ്സു ലയിക്കുമ്പോൾ

സോഹമെന്നിട കൂടുന്നു ജീവനും

 

Bakthi  thannil  muzhuki  chamanjudan

Mathane  poale nrutham  kuthikkanam

Moham theernnu  manassu  layikkumbol

Sohamennida  koodunnu  jeevannum

 

When we are  ready  after getting  drowned  in devotion

Like  a mad man we should  jump and dance

When passion ends  and mind merges

I become that and  my soul  merges within me

 

പാരിലിങ്ങനെ സഞ്ചരിച്ചീടുമ്പോൾ

പ്രാരബ്ധങ്ങളശേഷമൊഴിഞ്ഞിടും

വിധിച്ചീടുന്ന കർമ്മമൊടുങ്ങുമ്പോൾ

പതിച്ചീടുന്നു ദേഹമൊരേടത്ത്

കൊതിച്ചീടുന്ന ബ്രഹ്‌മത്തെക്കണ്ടിട്ടു

കുതിച്ചീടുന്നു ജീവനുമപ്പൊഴേ.

 

Paaril  yingane  sancharichidumbol

Prabadha sesham  ozhinjeedum

Vidhichudunna  karmam  odungumbol

Pathichideennu  deham oridathu

Kothicheedunna  Brahmathe  kandittu

Kuthicheedunnu  jeevanum appozhe

 

When we  travel like  this in the world

Hardships of karma  will come to an end

When  the  fated  karma comes to an end

The  body  will fall  in a place

After  seeing Brahmam which we greatly desired

Immediately  the soul will jump there  itself

 

സക്തിവേറിട്ടു സഞ്ചരിച്ചീടുവാൻ

പാത്രമായില്ലയെന്നതുകൊണ്ടേതും

പരിതാപം മുഴുക്കേണ്ട തിരുനാമത്തിൻ

ദിവ്യ മാഹാത്‌മ്യം കേട്ടാലും!

 

Sakthi  verittu  sancharicheeduvaan

Paathramayilla yennathu  kondethum

Parithaapam  muzukkenda  thiru namathin

Dhivya  mahathmyam  kettalum

 

Because  of the inability

To travel without attachment

Please hear  the divine  greatnes

Divine name  which  fulfills  devotion

 

ആമോദം പൂണ്ടു ചൊല്ലുവിൻ നാമങ്ങൾ

ആനന്ദം പൂണ്ടു ബ്രഹ്‌മത്തിൽച്ചേരുവാൻ.

 

AAmodham  poondu  cholluvin Namangal

AAnandam pondu Brahamathil  cheruvaan

 

Along  with  extreme  chant the names

With happiness  merge  in  Brahmam

 

മതിയുണ്ടെങ്കിലൊക്കെ മതിയിതു

തിരുനാമത്തിൽ മാഹാത്‌മ്യമാമിതു

പിഴയാകിലും പിഴകേടെന്നാകിലും

തിരുവുള്ളമരുൾക ഭഗവാനേ ...

 

Maathiyundangil  okke  mathiyithu

THirunamathil  mahathmyamam  ithu

Pizhayaakilum pizha kedanu yengilim

Thiru ullam  arulka  bhgawane

 

If there  is brain all this sufficient

This the  greatness of the  divine name

Which  it is mistake or  bad effects  of mistake
