(In the very early    morning  , the Guruvayur temple is opened..At that time God can be seen with the decorations of previous night(nirmalya darsanam) . Then the decorations are removed    and the door is open , for applying Vaka (a powder  to wash)  on the   God. This is the  only time when the Golden Guruvayrappan    is seen without   any decorations or make up. The statue is so pretty , that no devotee would  feel like leaving the door.)

1.Guruvayurappande   thiru nada   thurannallo,

Thiru vaka  Charthinnu   samayamai  ,

Oru  balasuryanudhicha  kanakkina-

Ngoru   shobhayengum  parannidunnu.

1.The    divine door  of the sanctum of  Guruvayurappan has opened ,

It is time   for application  of Vaka * ,

Like a young     sun has   arisen ,

A great luster   is spreading   everywhere.

       *A powder   used to remove oil   applied to the body.

2.Thozhuthittum, thozhuthittum  , mathiyennu   thonnikko-,

Ndu   yeluthalla   nadayil   ninnu  maaraan,

Oru nokku  koodi   jnn  kandotte  yennorthaa-,

Thirumumbil   kai koopi  ninnu  pokum.

2, After   saluting and saluting   and feeling ,

That it was sufficient, it is not  easy   to go away   from the door .

Wishing   that   we could  see him once  more ,

Srilakathingal    thelinju kanunnu.

4.Without  any garlands   and  without   any decoration,

Oh boy  Krishna , your divine   form  ,

Holding weapons in your four divine hands ,

Can be  clearly seen inside   the sacred   sanctum.
