Maheswara Uvacha

Lord Shiva said :-

1Jayaswan Devi Gayathri, Maha  Maye, Maha Prabhe  ,

Maha Devi Maha   BHage Maha sathve  , Mahothsave

1.Victory   to you  Goddess  Gayathri  , who is great enchantress, Who has great luster,

Who is a great goddess, Who  is very holy  ,  who is greatly steady   and who is great celebration.

2.Dhivya Gandhanu lipthangi  Divyasthragdhama  bhooshithe ,

Veda mathar namsthubhyam  tryaksharasthe  Maheswari.

2 I   salute the mother of Vedas who applies  divine  sandal paste  ,

Who decorates herself with divine  ornaments and who is the great Goddess with three  letters(A U M)

3.TRoilokasthe Tri thathwasthe    trivahnasthe   tri soolini,

TRinethre  Bhima vakthre cha Bhima nether  Bhayaanake,

3.Goddess  who is in three  worlds, who has three  principled , who has three  fires, Who holds  trident,

Who has three  eyes, Who has a huge  face ,  Who has huge eyes   and who is fearsome.

4.Kamalasanaje  devi  Saraswathi namosthuthe  ,

Nama Pankaja pathrakshi Maha maye smruthasthrave.

I Salute her who is Goddess  Saraswathi who sits   on Lotus,

Salutations to her who has eyes like lotus leaf,the great enchantress  and who showers  nectar.

5,Sarvage , SArva bhoothesi SWahaakaare SWadhe  Ambike ,

SAmpoorne , Poorna chandrabhe Baswaraange  BHavodbhave.

5,Goddess who is everywhere, who is all beings , who tells SWaha.Who is SWadha   and who is mother ,

Who is complete, Who looks like full moon   who has a  shining body, Who rises from divinity.

6.Maha Vidhye  , Maha vedhye  , maha daithya vinasini.

Maha budhyudhbhave devi   veethasoke Kirathini.

6.Oh great knowledge studied  by others greatly, Who kills great asueas,

Oh Goddess who rose from  great progress

7,Thwam neethisthvam  Mahabhage THwam Geesthwam   Gausthvam aksharam,

THwam   Dheesthvam  SRisthvam   OMkara  sthathve chapi paristhitha.

SArva  sathvahithe devi   Namasthe  Parameshwari.

7.Oh  Great Goddess  you are the justice, you are Goddess  Saraswathi , goddess earth   and you never  get destroyed,

You are intellect, you are prosperity and you also placed in the  principle  of Om,

Oh Goddess who is an all beings, I salute you the greatest goddess

8.Ithyevam   samsthuthaa Devi   bhaven parameshtinaa,

DEvairapi Jayethyuchair athykthaa Parameswari.

8.This way the divine Lord Shiva   praised  that  Goddess,

All even the devas  in a loud voice   started  wishing victory for her.

 Ithi  Sri Varaha maja  puraneMaheswara krutha Gayathri sthuthi sampoornam.

Thus ends the prayer  addressed to Gayathri composed by Lord Shiva  which occurs  in Varaha Purana.
