Birth of Rama  according to different RAmayanas

1.Valmiki  Ramayanam

Six seasons were over after  the fire sacrifice,  and in the twelfth month which was Chithra, on the Navami day( The ninth phase of rising moon) , on the star belonging to  Adhithi Devatha (Punarvasu) when five of the nine planets were in exalted position, In the Karkitaka lagna , When planet Guru was with moon, Kausalya gave birth to the lord of universe, who was blessed with all good signs and who was a part of Lord Vishnu and he was received by all the world and was there to perpetuate   the Ikshuvaku clan.                                                                                                                                            18.8-18.10

With a son of immeasurable luster  Kausalya glowed with luster  like Adithi, who had earlier become mother to Lord Indra who wielded the Vajrayudha.                                                                                                                                                                  18.11

 

 

2.Kamba Ramayanam

 

280.When the   time for delivery came  ,

And the goddess earth became very happy 

And the bamboo like Punar poosam star  . the devas,

And the pure Rasi of Kadaka   , jumped with joy.

 

281. Sidhas  , devas   and middle aged women,

Famous saints , those who live   in  heaven,

And those who live   in heaven after   death ,

Shouted in joy when time came closer and closer ,

Thinking that   the great God of Dharma   would live long.

 

282.That  Kousalya with great ability  , for the sake  of auspiciousness.

Gave birth to a child , who  kept  the world safe during the time of final deluge  ,

By keeping it in his belly , And who    is the  one who cannot be understood by Vedas,

And who  is the lustrous light showing   the prettiness of  a budding  cloud.

 

 

3.Adhyathma  Ramayanam 16th chapter  bala kanda

 

And the pregnancy  came to an end and at that time,
Four children were  born to him at the time  ,
When five planets  in exalted position , and at that time,
Lord Vishnu became  the son of queen Kausalya,
His star was Punarvasu  and the thidhi (moon’s phase)was Navami,
And  the great Lord  was born  at the time when,
Lord Jupiter was  along with  the lord of his birth star,
And it was in Karkidaga Lagnam  , it was in greatly exalted position,
Lord  Sun was greatly exalted, Sani was  in Thula Rasi,
Lord Venus was in Meena rasi , Lord mars  was in retrograde,
 And was greatly exalted in Makara rasi,
All the Gods were crowding in all directions,

 

4.Ramo dantham 

 

When the time was ripe Kousalya gave birth to Ramachandra,
Who was to the good ones similar to the sun to the lotus flower,

5.Pasurappadi  Ramayanam

In the very great city of Ayodhya,
Rama was born as the son of Kausalya ,
And the son of the king Dasaratha,
And scion of the clan of the Sun god,

 

6.Avathara  purushan by  Vali

 

The great god , Parabrahmam ,

Was born as   a baby  to Kausalya,

And got a  name   as Rama

 

7.Pappa   Ramayanam

Four   sons    were  born to  them

Rama   was the eldest  one among them,

He  rose   from   the blood  of Kausalya

 

8.Nama Ramayanam

My Rama, Who was a source of joy to Dasaratha, My Rama
My Rama, Who made life of Kausalya very happy, My Rama
My Rama, Who was most dear to Viswamitra, My Rama

 

9.SAptha  Rishi   Ramayanam

The lord of Raghu clan was born to Dasaratha

10.THirupugazh  of Arunagiri

My  darling come, Oh lord of  Raghu clan come,

Oh son come,Oh my  soul come,Oh very pretty one,

Come here, Oh king come,

For drinking the breast, for getting decorated by flowers,

Like this when Kausalya  called tenderly, that enchanter  came
