Wearing ixora   anfd thulasi  garlands

Sankari  looks   very pretty

After making her wear  silk  Pavada,

To see  Ambika   is very beautiful

After  worship of lamps

There  is chanting of Shyamala Dandakam,

Indrakshi    and sahasra  namam,

And three  times  procession

As minor   deities

Are Ayyappa   and Ganapathi

And Vanadurga   who is in the original place

For getting rid of sorrow

There is a offering of fire worship  to mother

For  pleasing the serpents there is also worship of serpents

On the prathama day of kanni month

When flag is raised   for navarathri,

The   celebration of festival starts

After water bath   mother,

Will arrive riding on an elephant,

And the devotee crowd would be waiting to receive her

കനകാഭിഷേകമുണ്ട്

നവകാഭിഷേകമുണ്ട്

പഞ്ച ഗവ്യം ആടുന്നുണ്ട് , മുള പൂജയും

കൊട്ടുണ്ട് പാട്ടുണ്ട്

കൊട്ടി പാടി സേവയുമുണ്ട്

നവ രാത്രികളിൽ  വിശേഷമായി

ഉത്സവ ബലി കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ

'അമ്മ പുറത്തെഴുന്നെള്ളും

ഭക്ത ജനങ്ങളെയെല്ലാം അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ

കാഴ്ച ശീവേലിയുണ്ട്

പഞ്ച വാദ്യ മേളങ്ങളും

അകം വഴി ആക്കി കൂടെ ഗജ വീരരും

There  is showering with gold,

There is showering with mixture  of nine oils

There  is a anointing   with pancha gavyam and basic worship

There  is a worship of   playing  drum(or clapping)  and singing

All these  especially during navarathri,

After  the festival Bali,

Mother will   come out,

To bless  all her   devotees,

There is a procession for all to see

And there  is playing  of Pancha Vadhya

And taking her  inside along with elephants

പത്തു ദിനം അന്ന ദാനം 

മേട  മാസ പുനർതത്തിൽ

ജനങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം

സരസ്വതി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലും

Ghee lamp, measure of paddy,.

Bunch of flowers, three measures and five measures

And after pallivetta(going out) is over

Next day   the flag would be brought down,

For ten days  free  food for all the people

In the punarvasu  star of Meda month

For celebrating   with great joy,

The  birthday of mother,

All the people

With mother observing it straight

Now even the wise people,

Salute   in the temple of Saraswathi
