விண்ணகத்தே பரிதியவன் நல்வரவு தெரிகிறதே

கண்ணனவன் நிறமுடைய மையிரவும் கரைகிறதே

செந்நிறத்து ஒளியுடனே சிவக்கிறதே கீழ்வானம்

செல்வத்தின் அதிபதியே ஸ்ரீலக்ஷ்மிகுபேரனே எழுந்தருள்வாய் !

 

Vinnakathe parithiyavan nal varavu therikirath

Kannanavan niramudaya mai iravum karaikirathe

Chennirathu oliyudane sivakkirathe keezhvaanam,

Selvathin athipathiye, sri Lakshmi khuberane yezhuntharulvaai

 

We are able to see the good coming of Sun in the sky,

The darkness of night with the colour of body of Krishna is melting,

The lower sky is slowly becoming red with reddish light

Oh Lord of wealth, Oh Lakshmi Khubera , please wake up

 

செம்மேனி சிருவுருவம் பெருவயிறு உடையவனே

சிரித்த முகம் சிவனிடத்தில் பெரும் பக்தி கொண்டவனே

வட திசைக்கு உரியவனே வணங்குகிறோம் உந்தனையே

Chemmeni chiru uruva, , peru vayiru udayavane

Chiritha mukham shivanadathil perum bhakthi kondavane

Vada dhisaikku uriyavane, vanangukirom unthanaye,

Selvathin athipathiye, sri Lakshmi khuberane yezhuntharulvaai

 

Red coloured body , small form and one having big paunch

And smiling faceand one having great devotion to Lord Shiva

Oh lord who belongs to northern direction, We are saluting you,
