வெற்றிலையில மாலை கட்டுங்க மாலை கட்டுங்களேன்
வீர மாருதியை போற்றி போற்றி மாலை கட்டுங்களேன்

 

Vettilayil   maalai  kattunga  , malai  kattungalen

Veera maruthiyai pothi pothi   maalai kattungalen

 

Tie garland   using betel leaf, please tie  garland

Praising  valorous  Maruthi, please  tie   a garland

துளசி இலை கொழுந்தெடுத்து கோர்த்து கட்டுங்களேன்
ராம தோத்திரத்தை சொல்லி சொல்லி மாலை கட்டுங்களேன் (வெற்றிலை)

 

THulasi  ilai kozhuntheduthu korthu  kattungalen

Rama thothirathai   cholli cholli  malai  kattungalen

 

Take young  leaves of thulasi  , thread   and tie them

Telling prayer  of Rama  , tie  the   garland

கோடி பணம் கேட்டதில்லை மாருதி ராஜா
அவன் கொட்டும் பனி நேரத்திலும் பூத்திடும் ரோஜா
இராம ஜெயம் சொன்னீங்கன்னா வந்து நிற்பானே
தினம் ராம நாத சாமி பேரை பாடி நிற்பானே (வெற்றிலை)

 

Kodi panam kettathillai  , maruthi  Raja

Avan  kottum  pani nerathilum  poothidum  Roja

Rama jayam  chonnenganna   vanthu  nirppane

Dhinam  Rama nadha  sami  perai   paadi  nirppane

 

WE have not asked  crores of money  , King  Maruthi,

He is the rose which flowers  even in deep winter

If we   say “Rama jayam”  , he will come and stand

He will daily sing name  of rama nadha  and stand

பொட்டு வைத்து பட்டு வைத்து பூஜை செய்தாலே
அவன் எட்டு வச்சு வாசக்கதவை தட்டிடுவானே
மெட்டெடுத்து ராமனுக்கு பாட்டெடுத்தாலே
அவன் மெல்ல வந்து தாளமிட்டு கேட்டிடுவானே (வெற்றிலை)

 

Pottu vaithu, pattu vaithu  poojai cheithaale

Avan yettu vachu vasa kadhavai  thattiduvaane

Metheduthi   Ramanukku  paatteduthaale

Avan mell vanthu   thalamitti  kettiduvaane

 

If we keep thilak   and worship him,

He would take quick  steps and  knock on our door

Taking the tune   if we  start  singing about rama

He would slowly come , keep beats  and hear them

ஆதரிக்கும் நெஞ்சுக்குள்ளே பூத்திருப்பானே
பொன் அந்தியிலே பூத்த மல்லி போல் சிரிப்பானே
பட்ட மரம் போல் இருக்கும் வாழ்கை எல்லாமே அவன்
சொட்டு சொட்டாய் தேன் வழிய மாற்றி வைப்பானே (வெற்றிலை)

 

AAdharikkum  nenjukkulle  poothiruppane

Pon  anthiyilr  pootha malli  pol   chirippane

Patta  maram poal irukkum vaazkkai yellame avan,

Chottu chottai then vazhiya maaththi  vaippane

 

He will flower  in side the hears of those   who support  him

In the golden morning , he will smile like  the flowered  jasmine

All the lives   which are  dead dried trees

He will change them with honey dripping in drops

சந்தனத்தை பூசி வைத்த பொன்னிற மேனி
அவன் சாத்திரமாய் வேதமெல்லாம் மிஞ்சிய ஞானி
வட்ட நிலா பூத்தது போல் பூ முகம் பாரு அவன்
வானரத்தின் தலைவனம்மா வந்தனம் கூறு (வெற்றிலை)

 

Chandanathai  poosi vaitha  ponnira meni

Avan  chaathiramai   vedhamellam  minchiya  jnani

Vatta nilaa  poothathu   pol  poo mukam paaru  avan

Vanarathin  thalaivanamma vanthanam kooru

 

He has golden  colured body with sandal paste applied on it

He is a wise man who scientifically is greater  than Vedas

See his  flower  like  face which is like round moon flowerd

He is the chief of monkeys,  salute  him.
