1.பதினே ழொன்றும்விழை செய்ய  பாத மோலிடநன்
மதிபோன் மாமைமுக மண்ட லம்ப குக்கநகுங்
கதியே வேற்குழவீ நின்னைக் காத லாற்றழுவ
நிதியே வாராயோ கைக ணீளு கின்றனவே. 

 

When  the   eighteen divine beings  worshipped  your feet, making  your    anklet sound,

Making   your face   resembling the stainless face  of  the golden moon shine,

With an intention   to embrace   you   who resembles the baby   with a vel,

My hands   extend , would you not  please   come

 

2.சீவி முடித்தசிகை செம்பொற் சுட்டி நன்குழைகள்
மேவு முறுப்புநிழல் செய்ய வாடும் வேற்குழவீ
ஏவல் கொடுத்தருள வெண்ணி யென்முன் வாராயோ
கூவை வெறுத்தகண்க ளிச்சை கொள்ளு கின்றனவே.

 

With well combed  and tied hair, with brooch of pure gold and good ear globes,

Oh  baby  with a vel who shines well   and plays

My  eyes   which   hate  to see  the world, and so

Would you   not come  before me, with an intention of making me  serve you.

 

3.பாவே றுஞ்சவையர் மெச்சிப் பாடும் வேற்குழவீ
சேவே றுன்பவளத் தெய்வ வாயை யேதிறந்து
தூவே றின்கரைக ளிங்குச் சொல்ல வாராயோ
கோவே யென்செவிக ளிச்சை கொள்ளு கின்றனவே.

 

Oh Baby   with a Vel, who is appreciated by  great poets,

Would you  not open your divine red mouth   resembling corals

And come here to  prattle   some   very sweet  words,

Oh king  , my ears   are  longing   to hear that .

 

4.பொன்னார் கண்டசர நன்கு பூண்ட தங்கவொளிக்
கொன்னார் வேற்குழவீ நல்ல கொவ்வை நின்னிதழை
என்னார் வந்தீர விங்கு நல்க வாராயோ
உன்னா ருண்ணிலையும் வாயு மூறு கின்றனவே.

 

Wearing well  the  pure gold necklace giving  out  your shine of gold,

Oh  Baby   with a Vel, would   you not give  me  your  reddish lips ,

So that  my   desire would be satiated, Would you not come,

Water  is springing   from my mouth, to   take  those  from you 

 

5.எண்ணே றும்பலயி லென்ற வேல்பி டித்தசையுங்
கண்ணே செங்குழுவீ யென்றன் கண்க ணாடழகே
தண்ணே றும்வதன முத்தந் தாரா யோயிறிது
நண்ணா வென்னுளந்தா னின்னை நாடு கின்றதரோ

 

Oh Darling  who moves about  holding , the vel of unthinkable prowess,

Oh red little baby, oh pretty  one my eyes   are  wanting you,

My mind   which never   desires   for anything  else  , desires,

For   the kiss from  your divine  mouth   filled   with   sweetness.

 

6.முத்தே மாமணியே முல்லை வெட்சி நன்கடம்பு
வைத்தா ரம்புனைந்தென் முன்னர் வாரா யோவுழலுஞ்
சித்தார் வேற்குழவீ யுச்சி செவ்வன் மோந்துகொள்ள
வித்தே யென்மூக்கி னிச்சை மீறு கின்றதரோ.

 

Oh pearl, oh great gem, Would you  not  come  before Oh baby with Vel,

Wearing   the garland made  of jasmine, champa  and  good kadamba  flowers,

And  who does   great   divine  sports  , would you  come before me,

As there  is a great desire In my mind   to   smell your  pretty   head and fondle  you.

 

7.ஐயார் நல்லரையிற் பொன்வ டங்க ளாடவுழல்
வையார் வேற்குழவீ யிங்கு வாரா யோகால்கள்
மையார் கண்மலர்க ளின்பு மல்க மோந்துகொள்ள
மெய்யா யென்மூக்கி னிச்சை மீறு கின்றதரோ

 

Oh baby  with a shap Vel , who dances with golden belts ,

Shaking on his hips, Oh  truthful one  , Would not you come here

Truly   there  is a very great  desire  in my  nose    smell,

Your  legs   as well   as  eyes with  black kajal

 

8.பொன்போன் மேனியிலே நல்ல பூம ணங்கமழும்
இன்பே வேற்குழவீ யிங்கு வாரா யோவிரியா
அன்பார் புன்முறுவல் செய்யு மார்விற் பல்லழகென்
துன்பீ ரம்பெனவே னெஞ்சந் துள்ளு கின்றதரோ.

 

Oh sweet one, from whose sweet body , smell  of good flower comes,

Oh  Baby    with a Vel, would you not please  come here,

My mind dances that  the  one with pretty teeth who smiles  lovingly,

Is the   arrow   which will  fully   destroy   my   sorrow.

 

9.கள்ளார் செங்கரும்பே கண்டு தேனே யின்னமுதுண்
கிள்ளாய் வேற்குழவீ யன்பர் கேளே மாதுமையாள்
பிள்ளாய் கண்ணியொன்று நல்ல பெட்பி னான்றருவேன்
தள்ளா தேகொளற்கென் முன்னர் வாரா யோதகையே

 

Oh   good sugarcanewhich is sweet, Oh sugar candy, Oh Honey,

Oh  baby  parrot eating sweet food, Oh Baby   with a Vel,

Oh  friend of a friend, Oh divine    son of UMa, I would  give you  ,

A good garland to wear,do not reject it and wearing it please come   before me.

 

10.மாண்பார் சந்தமுனி யின்ப வாழ்வே நின்னெழிலைக்
காண்பார் வேறழகு மிங்குக் காண்பார் கொல்லோநான்
ஊண்பா டஞ்சியுனை நன்கு காண்பா னின்றுவந்தேன்
வீண்போ காதபடி யிங்ஙன் வாராய் வேற்குழவீ.

 

Oh sweet life  of great poet Arunagiri,  those   who happen to  see your beauty ,

Will not    see  beauty  any where else and scared of food to body and senses,

I have    come    here   to see   you  well and,Oh baby  with Vel,

Without   disappointing my  hope  , please   come   here .
