1.Loka maanoharan   , lokaika  nayakan

Radha  pathiyakiya  devan Vishnu

 

The attracter of the mind of world  , lord oe entire world

Lord Vishnu   , the god  who was lord of Radha

 

2.Mohiniyennoru   pennai  theernnittu

Dhanava koottathe  mohippichu\

 

After  becoming   a lady  called  Mohini

Attracted the crowd  o f asuras

 

3.Nallor amruthathe veendeduthu yennulla

Vartha  arinju yetham  modhathode

 

After knowing the news that  very good nectar

Was recovered, with  very  great joy

 

4.Kama sareera  vibnnasakanakiya

Parvathi nayakan Daksha vairi

 

The destroyer  of body of Manmatha

The lord of Parvathy, the enemy  of  Daksha

 

5.Chikkennu vaikunta lokam pravesichu

Lakshmi  yodu  othulla  Vishnu thane

 

Suddenly   after  entering  the place  Vaikunta,

Addressing  Vishnu  who was  with goddess Lakshmi

 

6.Kandittu karyamai   ingane  othinaan

“Indalakathunna  thamburaane”

 

Seeing him well   he said like this,

“Oh God who removes  all difficulties”

 

7.Nalloru varthaye jnan ura  cheyunnen

Yethrayo  naalai  ninachirunnen

 

I am going   to tell you  some  news that is  good

I was thinking about it for long long time

 

8.Vallatha  durmadha  prabhavam  kaattiya

Dushtanmarayulla   dhanujanmaare

 

The evil  minded   Rakshasas

Who showed  lots of evil  spirits

 

9.Chennu nee  nalloru   pen veshathil 

AAswasam   devarkku  kai varutham

 

You went in the form of a pretty lady

So the devas   would get  great  relief

 

10. Peeyusha  thulyamaam  susmitham  cheithu kondu

Annu   rasippichu  pinne   vegam

 

Smiling greatly  equal to the nectar

You entertained them with speed

 

11Peeyusha paathramum   kai kondu  vannudan

Devakalkkai   Bhavan koduthu

 

And then bringing  out a vessel of nectar,

You   gave it to the devas

 

12.Yennulla varthayarinju jnan yingottu

Ponnu  vennullathu   arinjidenam

 

Hearing   that news  , I have come here,

This you should know

 

13.Ithrayum  chonnappol  Vishnu  varul  cheithu

“sangathi vasthavam thanne  Shambho”

 

When he told this much  , Lord Vishnu  told,

“that  is the truth  lord Shambhu”

 

14.Yeprakarathilum   bhakthare   rakshippan,

Uthsahikkendeyo  Naam yellarum”

 

Should   not   all of us  do everything

To protect   the devotees , some how

 

15.Aayathu pokatte  , vannathin  Karanam

Nannayi  paranjalum  Parvatheesa”

 

Let that go , Please tell well  ,

The  reason of  your coming  , lord of  Parvathi

 

16. Mayapathiyakiya ninnude  vaakukal,

Aananda  karanam  yennu  Chollam

 

The words  of you , who is the lord of illusion

Can bre termed  as  , the reason for joy”

 

17. DEva  , nin mohini  roopathe,

Kananam yennoru oru aasyode 

 

Gof  With a desire  to see  ,

Your  frm as Mohini

 

18,Innu ividekku  jnan  vannu  vennu oarkkuka

Nannayi kaatti   tharika vegam

 

Please remember  that  today  I have come ovef,

Please show   your  pretty form urgently

 

19,.Vegathil  vename, poyittu  karyanga;

Vere palathun  yenikku  undallo

 

Please  do it with speed, because  after going ,

I have very many things to do

 

20  Sri Parameshwaran   yethavum  nirbandha

Poorvam   yivannam paranja  neram

 

When  Lord Parameshvar  with great   strength,

Of desire  told like  this

 

21.Utharam onnum parayaathe  Vishnuvum

Minnal  pinar  poal   maranju poi

 

Without answering anything , Lord Vishnu,

Disappeared  like a streak  of lightning

 

22,Shambu kanndulloru vaikuntavum illa

Pal kadalum  pambum  onnum illa

 

There was no Vaikunta which lord Shiva has see,

Nor was  theocean of milk  and the serpent

 

23.Ganga  manaalanaam  sarvakjnam  Sankaran

Aake pakachu  nadakkuneram

 

When the lord of Ganga, the all  knowing Sankara

Was  walking  completely   baffled

 

24.Adbutha  kanthi kalarnnu vilangunna

Poogaavanam onnu  kandu munnil

 

In friend he saw  flower  garden,

Which   was there mixed  with wonderful luster

 

25.Nandanaaramathil   hung adakkedunna

Bandhura  pushpa  nikunja  poornam

 

The  garden of flowers was full of   thick bowers

Full of flowers  with great  sweet smell

 

26,Kalpaka  saakhikal paal kadal  thannile

Kathru thattumbol  ilagi melle

 

The branches  of Kalpaga tres in the ocean of milk

Slowly moved when wind hit them

 

27.SAkhakaram kondu pushpa  samoohangal

Kori arppichu   shiva  mouliyil

 

With the branches, waves of flowers,

Were  offered in heaps on head  of Lord shiva

 

28.Pushpangalil  ninnu olikkunna then bindhu

Mandham  padhichithu  meni thannil

The  drops of honey  flowinf  out  of those flowers

Slowly  fell  on the  body of lOrd Shiva

 

29.Kama  vikarangal  sarvaangam  vaaykunna

Pushpa   saurabhyavum  nanne   chernnu

 

The emotions of passio n being placed on all limbs

Added  well  the  pretty scent  of all those  flowers

 

30. kokila kootangal  paadi parakkayum

Thathakal  avyaktha   sabdhamode

 

The crowd of  nightingales  were  singing and flying

And the parrots   with unclear  sound

 

31.Kamane  porinnu  neril  vilikkayum

 Keki samooham  vili kelkkayum

 

The lord of Love  was challenged  for a battle

The the bamboo groves  heard them straight

 

32,Shadja  madhura prathi vachanam cholli

Yaadi  ulanju  nadakkayum

 

The sweet reply  in the six scale was told

Along with  danching dishavelled  walk

 

33.Athiyum  . nalla paruthiyum , chethiyum

Poovum   niranjor   ilanjikalum

 

Athi , good cotton, chethi trees

And ilanji  full of flowers

 

34Poonthenum povum   sugandhavum onnichu

Vaari vilambi  athithikkayi

 

For the guests  , in heaps   was served

The flower honey, flowers  and the sweet  smell

 

35.Yee mattil ulloru poonthottathil  chennu

Chernna manoharan  Shambhu deva

 

To this type of sweet  flower garden, reached,

The stealer of mind  , Lord shiva

 

36 sarva jana  ananda  mohana  ragathil

Artha  sphutathoyodu  othu chernnu

 

This pretty   tune of  joy of all people

Joined  along with   pretty wave of its meaning

 

37 Sangeetha bangikal   angeekarichulla

Kama geetha  swanam kettu vallo?

 

Have you heard the mixture  of  songs  of passion

Which are  recognized   with beauty  of music

 

38.Yenthu ithu ananda  sambramam kai kondu

Parvathi kamukan nokki nilkke

 

When the lover  of goddess parvathi  was   standing and looking

With  the   emotional mix up   of this great joy

 

39.Mankhya panthu kalichu kondu adbutha

 Saundarya  sarvaswa   saarmmayi

 

Playing   the ball of  gem manikhya and  being

The essence  of   all  beauty

 

40 Kinkini kankana manjula   naadhangal

Othorumichulla  natyamode

 

The pretty sounds of anklets  and bangles

Along  with  the dance

 

41.Chandana charu  viyarppaal nananjoru

Nethiyl  sindhoora  pottumai

 

Made wet by sandal  juice  like sweat

And   Sindhoora   mark  in her   forehead

 

42Ksheerabdhi thannile , nal thira mala  poal

Minni  thilangunna  pattuduthu

 

Wearing the greatly  shining  silk,

Which resembles  the good waves of ocean of milk

 

43 Mandham adukkalekku  yethi  aduppavan

AArennu   nokki  arinjidaan

 

Slowly   moving neat to fid out, who,

Is the person   who is nearing

 

44.Maaru  marachulla  thanga  kasavine

THalli maatthunoru   kongayode

 

With breasts which push away    the golden cloth

Which is covering her  chest

 

45,Kamuka koottathe , then samudrathile

AAzhthi vittteedum  kadakshathode

 

With a side look  which would push down

The  crowd of lovers in to  the ocean of honey

 

46.Lokangal okkeyum , nere  jayichoru

Kama  devande  jaya  kodi poal

 

Like the fla of victory of God of lovre,

Which has  directly   won oner  al the worlds

 

47pallinde kaanthikal alpalpam   chinthunna,

Mandahasathinde  kaanthiyode

 

With the  luster  of the sweet slow smile

Which drops little by little   the shine  of the teeth

 

48Lakshmi manaalanaam easwaran , thannude,

Mohini  vesham thurannu  kaatti

 

The God who is the husband of Lakshmi slowly

Opened her looks  as mohini and showed

 

49.Mukkannan  , Kannande  pennaaya  veshathe

Trikkan parthoru samayam  thannil

 

At the time when the three  eyed God saw with,

His divine eyes  , the looks  of the  girl Krishna

 

50Ullil theru  there  thalli  thakarthoru

Vaikarika   kali  yenthurappo

 

How to see  about  the emotional  waves

Which pushed  the insides  and broke it

 

51.Parvathi deviye   pande  marannu poi,

Ganga yennulla  vicharam poi

 

He had forgotten the Goddess  Parvathi long back,

And the thought of Ganga  was lost

 

52. Kamane  chuttavan yenna  vicharavum

Poi kuzhanjallo   Shambu  devan

 

In Lord Shambhu  the thought , that 

he was one  who killed  God of love was  completely lost

 

53.Youvana  samrajya raniyai, saundarya

Saarathin   kaanthi  pizhinja  sathaai

 

She became   the queen of the  country of love,

And  became  the juice extracted from essence of beauty.

 

54. Thathi kalikkunna mohiniyaakunna

THamara  poigayil   Mungi poi

 

He god drowned    in the lotus  pond,

Of Mohini   who was jumping  and playing

 

55Aayathu karanam eerezhu lokathinnu,

Aadhara  sthambam  uyarnnu  vannu

 

Because of that the  pillar of Support ,

To the fourteen worlds    started  rising up

 

56Poompattu thellonnazhinju . thala mudi

Kettu  kizhinju  alpam chanju  ulanju

 

The flower like  silk developed folds, the hair on the head

With tie  tearingoff  slowly  bent   and dishavelled

 

57.Kanthi nadhi  olichu pogum poale

Mohini vegam   ozhinju  poke

 

Just  like  the river  of luster  flowing out

When mohini with speed   started  disappearing

 

58.Odi ananju  pidichithu   shambhuvum

Angaja  bhavam  poraikayaale

 

Shambu ran   and caught  her hugging

Due to insufficiency of  the  mood of passion

 

59Angine   vaishnava , shaiva  sakthikal

Onnai  nilkkunna  vela thannil

 

Like that when the  power  of Vaishnavism

And Shaivism  stood   together  as one

 

60.Nalla muhurthathil  Ayyappa  swamiyaam

Bhagya  nnakshtram udhichu pongui

 

At tht auspicious time, the star  of luck,

Called Ayyapa rose  up

 

61Yaksha gandharvaadhi dhivya  janangalum

Deva apsaro   vrundangalum

 

The divine people like  Yakshas, gandharwas

Devas   and apsaras

 

62. Brahmanum  , Bramha rishi sangavum  othu

Chernnu  aanandathode thalirtu   nilkke

 

Brahma as well the society of  Brahma rishis

Joined to gether and stood  with joy   and  happiness

 

63,Bhaktha  janavali harsha asru varshikke

Devakal  , kalppaga  poo    chorinju

 

When   the devotees  were shedding  tears  of joy

Devas   showered Karpaga  showers on them

 

64.Kalaariyaakiya , kamaari Sankaran

Thande kumarane chennreduthu

 

Lord shiva killer of Yama   as well as god of love

Went and took  his son in his hands

 

65.Vishnuvum  dathavum   aananda poornam

Ayyappa samiye  thaalolichu

 

Vishna  as weas Brahma along with great joy

Fondled  God Ayyappa

 

66.Parvathi deviyum, lakshmiyum  vevvere

Omanakku   amminja  nalki  ninnu

 

Goddess  parvathi as  well as Lakshmi,

Seperately   breat fed the baby

67Vani bhagawathiyaya   saraswathi

Ayyande  naavil   jayicharuli

 

Goddess Sasraswathi  who is   the god of words

Blessed and wrote on toungue ofAyyappa

 

58Chollezhunnoru dhanu  masa andhyathil

Vanna saniyazhcha  uthram naalil

 

In the  very important  end of Dhanu  month

On a Saturday  in the uthram star

 

59.Vruschika lagnathil vannu pirannithu

Veera mani kandan ayyan at ayyan

 

And in the Vruschika lagna  was born

The lord of lords Veera  mani  kanda

 

60Pinne bhagawavaanaam  shambu  than aajnayaal

Lokapa karamaam   karyangale

 

61Oronnu cheithu  vilanginaan easwaran

Sri Bhootha nayakan, karunaa nidhi

 

Later  as per the orders  of Lord Shiva

Doing one by one  jobs  useful the world,

Shined   greatly   the God,

The god of all beings, the  treasure of mercy

 

62. ayyappaa, lokaika nadhaa, mahathmaave

Kathu rakshikkenam   jnangale  nee

 

Oh  lord Ayyappa  , oh lord of entire world, oh great  soul

You please protect us

 

63. Nin charithangale paadynna jnangale,

Yennum kadakshikka  , deva deva

 

Oh God of gods, please  see at us ,

Who sing   your stories

 

64Sri Byhootha nayaka, veera mani kanda

Nin pada padmathil  kumbidunnen

 

Oh lord  of all beings, oh valorous  mani kanda

I salute   at  you lotus like  feet
