1.Bhoothanadha  deva, raksha  cheika  deivame

Nin padangal kaanuvaan  namichidunnu  nithyavum

AArya nadhaa , deva deva, bhootha nadha  pahi maam

Vishna  sankarathmajaa sabari nadhaa  raksha nee

 

Oh  God Bhootha nadha, oh God  please  protect me

To see  your feet, I daily   salute  you on  the floor

Lord  of Aryas, God  of Gods, Bhootha nadha, protect me

The son of Vishnu  and Sankara, Oh Lord of Sabari  , my protection is yourselves

 

2,Pandu devakalkku vanna indale  kalayuvaan

Paal kadal kadanja kaalam, easwarande  puthranai

Mohini Kalebharathil  ninnu vannu   chernnu nee

Moham okke  maathanam,nirantharam  namichidaam

 

At ancient times to remove the problems that  came to Devas

When the ocean of milk was  churned, as  son of Lord  Shiva

You came    from the body  of Mohini and joined us

To change  all that passion , I will salute  you for ever

 

3.Datha  pathniyayirunna leelayodu   chernnu nee

Sangha saukhyam  mere yethu, jeevitham  nayikkave

Sangha saanthiye yadanja, datha saapam  yethu oaro,

Leelaye   anugrahicha  Bhootha  Nadha kai thozhaam

 

Along with Leela  who was wife  of Datha

When you were  spending your life  with pleasure of   the  group

You were  attacked  by the curse of Datha,who reacked  the peace of the group

And I salute    the Bhootha Nadha  who blessed  Leelaa

 

4.Brahmam yenna   roopam innathennu kaattu vaanaho

Shaiva  Vaishnava prakasam  onnu  chernna  roopamai

Parvthi  sutharkku , sosharathwam   aarnnu  kondu nee

Vaanirunnathillayo, Sri Bhootha nadha  Kai  thozhaam

                                                                                                                                  

To show   what is the shape  of what is called  as Brahmam

As a form joining   the luster of Shaivim   and Vaishnavism

Offering your   brother hood  to the sons of Parvathi

Were you not living, I salute you  , Bhootha nadha

 

5 . Panthalesanaaya , Raja  Shekarannu puthranaai

Dasa  bhavam  aarnnu kondu panthirandu    vahsaram

Panthalathu  Vaanu pinne  , sath guru suthandeyaa

Dukhamokke   Mathriyoru Bhootha nadha  Kai thozhaam

 

You lived   for twelve  years in Panthalam , as a son of

Raja shekara   the king  of Panthalam taking  the role,

Of a slave to  him  and later you removed  all  the sorrow,

Of the Son your Guru, I salute you  , Oh Bhoothanadha

 

6.Baktha deva  kotikalkku vanna  sangadangale

Mechamaaya  reethiyil, kalanju   modhamaakuvaan

Manusha  swaroopamodu, panthalathu vaanu nee

Raksha  Nalkane, Mahesa  , Bhootha nadha  Kai thozhaam

 

You  took the  form of human being so that  you,

Can remove  efficiently   their sorrow  , to the crores 

Of devotee  devas and you lived  in Panthalam

Oh Great  God, please  grant them protection , I salute  you, Oh Bhoothanadha

 

7.Dushta  manthri  thande vaakku kettu, Budhi mangiya

Pandya  rani thande Puthranaaya Raja Rajane

Chakravarthiyaakkuvaan , nadicha  karyamokkeyum,

Cheithu  nokki adbutham, Sri Bhootha Naha  Kai thozhaam

 

Hearing the words  of the evil minister, when the queen,

Of Pandyas became dimmedYou acted  many things

So that  her son Raja Raja  becomes  the emperor

And  carried out a wonder , I salute you  , Oh Bhootha Nadha

 

8.Ugramaaya  rogavum   nadichu veena Raniye

Chennu kandu, sangada pedunna  Panthaleswaran

Rogam onnu maaruvaan padicha  vidhya yokkeyum

Cheithu  nokki yadbutham,   Sri Bhootha  nadha  kai thozhaam

 

You went and saw  the queen who acted  grave  sickness

And  fell  down and to the king of  Pandala who was  sorrowing

And trying all that  he has learnt  so the diseases  gets cured

You  tried to perform a miracle  , I salute you , Oh Bhootha Nadha

 

9.Manthri thande  kalla Vaakku kettu , vaidhyarokkeyum

Rajni   thande Roga santhi   kai varaan, puliyude

Ksheeramaanu vendathenu uracha  vaakukal  kettudan

Mannavan  valanju poi, Bhootha Nadha, kai  thozhaam

 

Obeying the false  words of the minister, all the doctors,

For getting the disease  of the queen getting cured,Told  ,

Firm words   that  milk of the  tigress is needed, and hearing this

The king was  hazzled , I salute you, Oh bhootha Nadha

 

10.Kananathil yethi   van pulikale  pidicha   athin

Paalu   kondu poruvaan  oraalum illennu oarkayaal

Bheethanaaya  mannanodu yathrayum pranju , nee

Kaattilekku  pokayayi, bhootha nadha  Kai thozham

Reaching forest catching hold  of a nbig tiger and bring,

Its milk, remembering no one can do it

The king got scared and you took leave of him,

And started  going to forest,I salute you , Oh Bhootha nadha

 

11,Panthalesan annu thanna, bhkshya  vasthu okkeyum

Kettu kettu mauli thannil vechu, thushti chernnu nee

Kaattilekku mandam angu chennu, keriyappozhe

Bhootha vrindavum Niranju , bhootha nadhaa  kai thozham

 

Packing  all the food articles  given by the  king of Pandala,

Keeping them on head and  with happiness  joinimng you

You slowly   went to the forest and as soon as yu entered ,

The group of Bhoothas filled up there, I salute you , Oh Bhoothanadha

 

12,Deva raksha  cheivathinnu, kaattil  evam   yethiya,

Deva Devam Ninde moorthi kanda devarokkeyun

Manthra poorva keerthangal kondu, ninde keerthiye

Vaazhthi ninnathillayo, bhootha nadha kai thozhunnen

 

When you reached the  forest to protect the devas

All the devas seeing  the of you  , the god of gods

Using songs consisting of manthras and did they not,

Praise  your fame  , I salute you, Of Bhoothanadha

 

13.SArva  saukhya  dhayakaa, maheswarathmajaa  vibho

Sarva  garva  doshavum nirantharam  kalanjudan

Nin padhathil yeppozhum, visishta  bakthi kooduvaaan

Mohanaa  kruthe,kaninju anugrahikku  kai   thozhaam

 

Oh Lord who grants all pleasures, Oh Lord  , so of Lord Shiva

For permanently  discarding  all the evils  of all prides

For increeaing special   devotion   to your feet

Oh Lord who makes beauty, with mercy  bless me, I am saluting

 

14, nin mukhabjam yennu oarthu, thushtiyode vazhuvaan

BHagyam innu thannu ivane  onnu  anugrahikkane

Pettidunna  dushtamaayaa kashta kala mokkeyum

Nashtamayi  bhavikkenam , sri bhootha nadha  kai thozhunnen

 

Remembering that it is your lotus like face, for living with  contentment

Please grant me luck today and please   bless me

And all the bad times  that  we get caught,

Should be got lost, I salute  , the Bhootha Nadha

 

15. matharai  nadannu kondu   devare  pazhikkayum

Madhyamere monthi angu ahangarichirikkaym

Cheithidum  Mahishi thande kalamottu   adukkayaal

Darasanam koduthu nee , Bhoothhanadha  kai thozhaam

 

Due to death getting  near to Mahishi   who  found fault with devas

Who   drunk huge  amount of alghohol,  and was puffedwith pride,

You gave chance  to see  you , I salute Bhootha natha.

 

16Saapa bhara  saktiyaal  avalkku, ninde  darsanam

Kopa bhavamottu koottuvaan upakarikkayaal

Ghoramaam  udalu   chernna leelayaam  mahishiyum

Deva ninde  nerkku asduthu  , Bhootha nadha  Kai thozhaam

 

Dueto to power of heavy burden of curses, your vision

In an angry form   helped her  to increase  that burden

And Mahishi   in a sport consisting of   addition of her fierce body

Oh God came   near you  , I salute  Bhootha Nadha

 

17.Leelayodu  chernnu kondu yudha leela   cheithu nee

Pinne   vegamodaduthu sakthiyai pidichudan

Kandhukam kalichidunna  mattil  onnu  arikayaal

Aa  mahishi veenu poi, Bhootha nadha kai thozhaam

 

Along with sport you did   play a war,

And later with speed  you caught  her with force,

Knowing  you were doing it  like playing ball,
AS Mahishi fell down, I salute  Bhootha nadha

 

18.Annu azhuthayil pathichu  mokshamaarnna  leelaye,

Trikkarangal  cherthu vachu   angarahicha   deivame

Vannu chernna   thaapamokke maathuvaan niratharam

Bhootha nadha, Pandya dasa, deva deva  kaithozhaam

 

That day  making her fall in Azhutha and you played   a game of salvatyion,

And holding your divine hands together, Oh God  you blessed

For completely curing forever  the troubles which have come

Oh Bhootha Nadha , oh Servant of Pandyaas, Oh God of Gods , I salute you

 

19Ksheera vaariyil  kidakkum easwarande puthranai  ,

Sankarande  ponnu kuttanai piranna deivame

Sidhi  vannu chernnavande, budhi  shudhiyaakuvaan

Nin Padhanthikathil Vannu  kai thozhunnu   Rakshaka

 

AS son of the God who is lying down on the ocean of milk

AS golden darling of Lord Sankara you  were born oh God

For  purifying  my brain by adding occult  powers

I am   saluting at the   end of your feet, Oh Saviour
