1.Aadhiyile Ananthan vandhan, aalilai mele avan

Yeduthaan  avaniyile Dasavatharam

 

In the beginning  Anantha came, on the banyan leaf

He took ten incarnation on the  earth

,Meen vadivai kadal pugunthu, meettu vanthan chathur vedam

Nanilame pothrukindra   Mathysavatharam

 

Entering the ocean in form of fish, he brought  back four Vedas

The incarnation of fish praised by the four  worlds

 

3.Amirtham pera achaka mamalayai  thaangi nindraan

Aamai vadivil avan   yedutha  koormavatharam

 

To get nectar, just like that he stood carrying the mountain

The Koorma incarnation in the form of tortoise

 

4.Hiranyakshan parithu chendra, bhoomi thanai meetkka vendre

Pathalam  varai chendra, pandri roopan varaha  moorthi

 

For  getting back the earth which was taken by  Hiranyaksha

He went up to Patala as a boar in varaha  incarnation

 

5.Yengeyum avan iruppan , yenpathanai nilai nirutha,

Thoonil irunthu velipettan Narasimhamaka

 

To establish  ,that  he will be  every where,

He  came out of the pillar   as a Man-lion

 

6.Moondru adi man kettan-mudivinile kaal vaithan

Maabaliyin siram thanile, vamananin vadivile

 

He asked for three  feet of landand at the end he kept his feet,

On the head  of Mahabali, in the form of  Vamana

 

7.Thanthai sole mandiram yendru-thai thalayai

Koithu vanthaan-kodali thangi nirkkum  parasuraman

 

Thinking that father’s word are ultimate, he  came,

Cutting his mother’s head-The parasurama standing carrying an axe

 

8.Annai ketta varam thanaal, arasu urimai avan thuranthan

Dharma neri kaakka vandhan-naam vanangum sri Raman

 

Due to the bon asked by mother  , he gave away his  kingship

He came to protect the rule of Dharma-The Rama whom we salute

 

9.Kannanukku thol kodukkum annanaaka avatharithu

Kan imai poal kathavan thaan Bala Raman

 

Taking incarnation of elder brother of Krishna to support him

He was incarnation of Balarama who protected him like his eye

 

10.Vaazhum vagai naam arinthu, vanulakil chervatharkku

Ariyathoru  geethai thanai uraithavan than Sri Krishnan

 

For us to know proper method to live  and attain the heaven

It Was Sri Krishna who told us the rare  Gita

 

11,Dunmargam  azhithu  puviyai, nanneriyil   cheppatharkku

Kali yugathil avan varuvaan, kalkiyana roopamathai

 

To destroy bad habits and to join this earth in proper way

In Kali age  he would come in the form of Kalki
