1.Pambanayil  thuyil kollum,  Paranthaman Marbile

Kudi  kondiruppavale-Bhagyatha   Lakshmi

 

Oh Lakshmi of Luck who lives  on chest,

Of God Vishnu   sleeping on a snake

 

2.Un yettu vidha avatharam, yengalai kaakkave

Yeduthaaye thaaye, Ashta Lakshmi

 

Oh mother you took eight type  of incarnations,

Only to protect us, Oh Ashta  Lakshmi

 

3.Par kadalil thondrinai-paar pugazhum deivame

Paninthome unnai-Aadhi Lakshmi

 

You appeared  in ocean of milk-Oh goddess  praised by all the world

We bow before you –Oh adhi Lakshmi(Primeval Lakshmi)

 

4.Varumaikal neekki indha  vayyakam valamudan

Vaazhave   aulvaaye-Dhanya  Lakshmi

 

Please  remove poverty and bless this world to live,

With all prosperity-Oh Dhanya(grain) Lakshmi

 

5.Mana uruthi thanthu-manidar  vaazhnthidave

Varam  nee tharupavale-Veera  Lakshmi

 

By giving firmness of mind, you grant boon,

So that  humans live-Veera(valorous ) Lakshmi

 

6.Kadalil kadantha adhai-Indiran chelvathai

Meettu koduthavale-Gaja Lakshmi

 

You recovered the wealth of Indra, which was,

Lying in the sea, Gaja(elephant) Lakshmi

 

7Vazhayadi vazhayai-vamsam valarnthidave

Varam thanthu  arulbhavale-Santhana  Lakshmi

 

From generayion to generation, you give  boon,

And bless so that  the clan grows-Santhana(children) Lakshmi

 

8.Yedukkindra kariyathil, idar neekki vathri pera

Un arul puripavale-Vijaya  Lakshmi

 

In all jobs undertaken, you remove the  bottle necks,

And bless  us to succeed-Vijaya(Success)  Lakshmi

 

9.Kalaikalil chirakkave, Kalvikalilum uyarave

Karunai mazhai pozhivaye-Vidhya Lakshmi

 

To be best in arts and to high in  knowledge
