Aana mukhannu  utha  thaaye ,Aaru mukhannu utha maaye

 

Come  dancing oh Sankari , Come dancing oh pretty one

Suitable  mother to elephant faced one,the illusion suitable   to six faced one

 

2.Maamalan kan maniye, manoharan amminiye

Mamunikalkku  ambiliye, makkalude   then kaniye

 

Darling of the  great mountain, dear  one  of the  pretty one

The moon   to great saints, The honeyed fruit of the people

 

3.Thala melam pongidunnei, keli olam  thingidunnei

Manja neerin pon kudangal makkal yeduthu  aadunnei

The beats and drum sounds are  ebbing, The tide  of playfulness is crowding

The people are   dancing   with   golden pots of yellow water

Koodiyaadum  makkalude koode yaadu  keli loale
