(This great song was sung  by Thirujnanasambandar  in Thiruveezhilalai Shiva temple .It is believed  that when Lord Vishnu was worshipping lord Shiva , he found shortage of one flower.He took out one of his eyes(vizhi ) to God

Once this place was  affected by a great  famine. Thirujnana sambandar and Thirunavukkarasar wo were  there  at that time  prayed  Lord Shiva.He promised  to place a gold coin daily near  the flag post.Using that The great saints  fed all  the people.But once Sambandar got  gold coin of poor carat and it was not sufficient  to feed  all people

Then he sang this prayer  requesting God  to give him money.He Got it

It is believed that if wesing it , god also  will give us money.)

 

1.வாசி தீரவே, காசு நல்குவீர்
மாசின் மிழலையீர், ஏச லில்லையே

 

Vasi  theerave  , Kasu  nalguveer

Maasin mizhalayeer, yesal illaye

 

Please  grant money , to end  the shortage,

Oh faultless  god  of  Thiruveezhimalai ,so that  there is  no bad  name to you

 

2.இறைவ ராயினீர், மறைகொள் மிழலையீர்
கறைகொள் காசினை, முறைமை நல்குமே.

 

Iraivar aayineer, marai kol mizhalayeer

Karai kol kaasinai, muraimai  nalgume

 

You are the God  of Thiruveezhimalai, full of sund of Vedas

Please remove the defeact of the  money  with stain

 

3.செய்ய மேனியீர், மெய்கொள் மிழலையீர்
பைகொள் அரவினீர், உய்ய நல்குமே.

 

Cheyya meniyeer, mei kol mizhalayeer

Pai kol araviner, uyya  nalgume

 

Oh god  with red body of Thiruveezhimalai for  truthfull people live

Oh Lord with snake on neck , Please  give money so that , so that our problems are removed

 

4.நீறு பூசினீர், ஏற தேறினீர்
கூறு மிழலையீர், பேறும் அருளுமே.

 

Neeru  poosineer, yera  therineer

Kooru  mizhalayeer, perum   arulume

 

Oh lord with ash coated body , Lord  who comes  on chariot

Of the well known Thiruveezhimalai,Please  grant me , please grant me salvation

 

5.காமன் வேவவோர், தூமக் கண்ணினீர்
நாம மிழலையீர், சேமம் நல்குமே.

 

Kaman  Veva vor, Dhooma kannineer

Nama mizhalayee, Semam nalgume

 

Oh Lord who killed Manmatha  with smoke  emitting eye

Oh God of Thirumeezhi malai, Please grant  comfortable protection

 

6.பிணிகொள் சடையினீர், மணிகொள் மிடறினீர்
அணிகொள் மிழலையீர், பணிகொண் டருளுமே.

 

Pini kol chadayineer, Mani kol midarineer

Ani kol mizhalayeer, pani kondu arulume

 

Oh God  with tied  hair, Oh God with bell tied neck

Oh Decorated  god of Thiruveezhimalai, Please bless us with job

7.மங்கை பங்கினீர் துங்க மிழலையீர்
கங்கை முடியினீர் சங்கை தவிர்மினே.

 

Mangai  Paangineer, thunga  mizhalayeer

Gangai  mudiyineer, Sangai thavirmane

 

God  with lady  on one side, God of great Thiruveezhimalai

Oh God with ganges  on head, Please  remove  our doubt

8.அரக்கன் நெரிதர இரக்கம் எய்தினீர்
பரக்கும் மிழலையீர் கரக்கை தவிர்மினே.
