ചേലിൽ ശ്രീ മൗലിയിൽ പീലിചാർത്തി

കോലുന്ന നെറ്റിയിൽ ഗോപിചാർത്തി

ചെന്താമരയിതൾ കണ്ണിനേറ്റം

ചന്തം കലർത്തും മഷിയെഴുതി

 

Chelil  Sri  Maliyil  Peeli Chaarthi

Kolunna  nethriyil  Gopi  Chaarthi

Chenthamara  ithal   kanninnu  yetham

Chandam  Kalarthum  Mashi  yezhuthi

 

Wearing peacock   feather on his prettily

Wearing sandal paste  on his  pretty forehead

Wearing eye shadow to the lotus feather  eyes

Which   will make   it further pretty

 

ഉൾപ്പൂവിനാനന്ദമേകി വാഴും

എള്‍പ്പുവിനൊത്തൊരു നാസീയേന്തി

തൊണ്ടിപ്പഴത്തിനു നാണമേകും

ചുണ്ടിന്റെ മാധുര്യം എങ്ങും വീശി

 

Ul ppovinnu  aanandam yeki vaazhum

Yel poovinothoru  naasiyenthi

THonda pazhathinnu  nanam yekum

Chundinde  Maadhuryam yengum veesi

 

Carrying  a nose  hich is similar  to gingelly flower

Which  will make   flower  like heart  more happy

Fanning  the  sweetness  of the  lips

which makes red fruit  ashamed

 

കർണ്ണങ്ങളിലുള്ള കുണ്ഡലങ്ങൾ

ഗണ്ഡതലങ്ങളിൽ മിന്നലാർന്നും

ഹാരാദിയാഭരണങ്ങളേന്തി

മാറിന്നുശോഭയിരട്ടിയാക്കി

 

Karnangalil ulla   kundalangal

Ganda  thalangalil  ninnal aarnnum

Haaraadhi     aabharanangal  yenthi

Maarinnu    shobha   irattiyaakki

 

The ear globes  on  ears

Which makes    the  sides  of neck shine

Carrying  ornaments like   necklaces

The shine   to the chest   is doubled

 

ചമ്മട്ടിക്കോലു വലത്തു കൈയില്‍

ചെമ്മേ കടിഞ്ഞാൺ ഇടത്തുകൈയിൽ

മഞ്ഞപട്ടങ്ങു ഞൊറിഞ്ഞുടുത്ത്

ശിഞ്ജിത നാദത്തിൽ നിന്നു കൃഷ്ണൻ

 

Chammatti  kolu  valathu  kayyil

Chemme  kadinjan  idathu  kayyil

Manja pattangu   jerinju  uduthu

Sinjitha  naadhathil  ninnu  Krishnan

 

Carrying   the whip   in his  right hand

And holding well  the  bridle  in his left hand

Tying  the yellow silk  tucking well

And  Krishna  stool well in ringing  sound  of bell

 

തേരിൽ വികാരമിയന്നിരുന്ന

വീരനാം അർജ്ജുനൻ ഏവമോതി

ഭക്തപ്രിയാ കരുണാംബുരേശ

വക്തവ്യ മല്ലാത്ത വൈഭവമേ

 

Theril  vikaramaayirunna

Veeranaam  Arjunan   evam othi

Baktha priyaa  , Karnamburesa

Vakthavya allatha  vaibhavme

 

Sitting  on the chariot with emotion

The valorous   Arjuna  told like this

Oh  dear  one of devotees,Oh god  who is ocean of mercy

Oh  celebration   which has  no specific  time

 

യുദ്ധക്കളത്തിൽ ഒരുങ്ങിനിൽക്കും

ബന്ധുക്കളെയൊന്നു കാട്ടിടേണം

എന്നതുകേട്ടുടൻ കൃഷ്ണനപ്പോൾ

മുന്നോട്ടു തേരിനെ നീക്കി നിർത്തി

 

Yudha kalathil  orungi  nillkum

Bandhukkale  onnu  kaattidenam

Yennathu   kettu udam  Krishnan appol

Munnottu  therine

 

Wanted  to see  his  relatives

Who stand  ready  in  battle field

And as soon  as Krishna  heard it

He  took forward the charriot

 

അയ്യോ ഭഗവാനേ എന്റെ കൃഷ്ണാ

വയ്യ ബന്ധുക്കളെ കൊല്ലുവാനോ

ബന്ധുക്കളെക്കൊന്നു രാജ്യമാളു -

ന്നെന്തിനു സൗഖ്യമിയന്നിടാനോ

 

Ayyo  , Bhagawane  , yende  Krishnaa

Vayya  Bandhukkale   kolluvaano

Bandhukkale konnnu  rajyam  aalunnathu

Yenthinnu Saukhyamaai irunnidaano

 

Ho, Oh God  , My  Krishna

Not possible   for  me  to kill the relatives

To Kill  relatives and rule   the country

What for, Is  it the remain with pleasure

 

ഏവം കഥിച്ചു ധനഞ്ജയനും

ഭാവം പകർന്നതു കണ്ടനേരം

ഭാവജ്ഞനാം ഭഗവാൻ മുകുന്ദൻ

ഈ വണ്ണ മോതിനാന്‍ സാവധാനം

 

Evam Kadhichu  Dhanamjayanum

BHavam  pakarnnathu  kanda neram

BHavajanaam bhagawan Mukundan

EEvannam othinaan saavadhanam

 

After    saying like  this  , seeing that,

Emotions   have changed   to Dhananjaya

The God  Mukunda  who was  expert on emotions

Told  lke   this  in a  very  slow manner

 

ഇല്ലാത്തതുണ്ടാകയില്ലയല്ലോ

ഇല്ലാതെപോകയിലുള്ളതൊന്നും

ദേഹിക്ക്‌ നാശമുണ്ടാകയില്ല

ദേഹം നശിച്ചിടും എന്നെന്നാലും

 

Illathathu   undaakayillallo

Illathe   pokayilla  ulla thonnum

DEhikku   naaasam  undaakayilla

DEham  nasichidum  yennalum

 

What  is not there will never  come there

All those   which are there  will not  vanish

Even after   the  body  dies ,

The person   will not get destroyed

 

ആരെയും ആത്മാവു കൊല്ലുകില്ല

ആരാലും കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയില്ല

വസ്‌ത്രം പഴയതുപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടു

പുത്തൻ ധരിപ്പതു പോലെയത്രെ

AAreyum  aathmaavu  kollukilla

Aaraalum kolla  pedukayilla

Vasthram pazhayathu  upekshichittu

Puthan darichathu  poale  athre

 

No one   would be killed  by the soul,

Nor it can be  killed  by some one

It is like  leaving the old cloths out

Our  wearing  new cloths

 

ജീർണ്ണിച്ച ദേഹം ത്യജിച്ചു ദേഹി

പൂർണ്ണം ധരിക്കുന്നു വേറെ ദേഹം

ആത്മാവെ അഗ്നി ദഹിപ്പിക്കില്ല

ആത്മാവലിഞ്ഞു പോകുന്നതല്ല

 

Jeernicha   deham  thyajichu   dehi

Poornam  darikkunnu  vere deham

AAthmaave aghni  dahippikkilla

AAthmaavu   alinju   pokunnathalla

 

The individual throws out  the body which has worn out

Completely   and   wears a new  body

The soul  cannot  be burned  by fire

The soul   will  get  dissolved

 

ആത്മാജനിച്ചു മരിക്കുമെന്നാ-

ണാത്മാവിൽ നീ കരുതുന്നതെങ്കിൽ

തിണ്ണം ജനിച്ചവൻ ചാകുമെന്നും

തിണ്ണം മരിച്ചവൻ ജാതനെന്നും

 

AAthmaa  janichu  marikkum yennanu

Nee  karuthannathu  yengil

THinnam janichavan  chaakum yennum

THinnam marichavan   jaathan yennum

 

If Yiou believe  that

The soul will be born to die

It is definite   that those who are  born will die

It is definite that  the dead  one will be born again

 

നന്നായറിഞ്ഞു നീ ദുഃഖിയാതെ

നന്നായ് സ്വധർമ്മം അറിഞ്ഞു ചെയ്ക

സംശയമൊന്നിനും വെച്ചിടാതെ

സംശയം കൂടാതെ ചെയ്കയെല്ലാം

 

Nannayi  arinju  nee  dukhiyaathe

Nannayi  swadharmam   arinju  cheika

Samsayam   onninnum  vechidaathe

SAmsayam  koodaathe   cheika  yellam

 

Knowing  well , do not  be sad

Knowing well , do your dharma

Without keeping any doubt on anything

Without keeping any doubt  do everything

 

കർമ്മം ചെയ്യാനാധികാരി നീയാ

കർമ്മഫലം അതിൽ ഒാര്‍ത്തിടൊല്ല

കർമ്മഫലത്തിനു ഹേതുവായോ

കർമ്മം ചെയ്യാതെയോ വാണിടൊല്ല

 

Karmam cheyaan adhikari  neeyaa

Karma  phalam athil  oarthidolle

Karma phalathinnu hethuvaayo

Karmam  cheyyatheyo  vaaneedolle

 

For doing action , you are  the boss

Do not think   the result  of action is  there

Depending  on the result  of action

Do not  live  without  doing action

 

പുണ്യപാപങ്ങളുപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടു്

തുല്യ ബുദ്ധിയോടെ വാണിടേണം

പത്തിന്ദ്രിയങ്ങളും കിഴടക്കി

ഒത്ത മനസ്സുമേകാഗ്രമാക്കി

 

Punya  paapagal   upekshichittu

THulya budhiyode  vaaneedenam

Pathu  indriyangalum keezhadakki

Otha   manassum  yegramaakki

 

Without  bothering about  sins and blessings

You have to live with equal brain

After  conquering  ten sense  organs

With  your mind   completely  concentrated

 

കർമ്മഫലങ്ങളിൽ മോഹിയാതെ

കർമ്മങ്ങൾ ചെയ്ക ഈശാർപ്പണമായ്

ഇങ്ങനെ ഓരോരോ തത്വമോതി

ഭംഗിയിൽ പാർത്ഥനെ ബുദ്ധനാക്കി

 

Karma  phalangalilmohiyaathe

Karmangal  easwara   arpanamai

Ingane  ororo  thathwam othi

Bangiyil  Parthane   budhanaakki

 

Without  getting attached to result  of actions

Dedicating  all action  to Gods

Like this telling   several  truths  like this

He  made  Arjuna  a wise  person

 

വിശ്വാസം കൂട്ടുവാൻ ദേവദേവൻ

വിശ്വരൂപം കാട്ടി നിന്നുതേരിൽ

എല്ലാത്തിലുമെല്ലാം ഞാനാണെന്നും

എല്ലാമെന്നില്‍ എന്നും കണ്ടിടേണം

 

Viswasam  koottuvaan  deva  devan

Viswa roopam kaatti ninnu  theril

Yellathilum yellam  jnan  aanennum

Yellam    yennil  yennum  kandidenam

 

 

For increasing  his   belief  in him, the god of gods

Showed him his mega  form  and stood in the chariot

You have to understand  that in everything, I am there

And you have to see  Everything in myself

 

നൂലിൽ മണികൾ പോലെന്നിലെല്ലാം

ചേലിൽ കോർത്തുള്ളതാണോർത്തിടേണം

സാക്ഷാത് പരാമാർത്ഥ തത്വമേവം

പാർത്ഥൻ ഭഗവാങ്കൽ നിന്നറിഞ്ഞു

 

Noolil  manikal   poale   yennil yellam

Chelil  korthu  ullathanu , oarthidenam

Sakshaath  paramartha  thathwam evam

Parthan  bhagawangal  ninnu  arinju

 

Like  beads  on thread everything is prettily

Sewed , please   remember  this

Like this   the  true philosophy   ,

Was understood by Arjuna   from the god

 

ഏറ്റമുണർവോടെ ഭാരതൻ താൻ

ഏറ്റു സ്വധർമ്മം നടത്തികൊണ്ടാന്‍

ദുര്യോധനാദി ശത്രുക്കളെയും

നിഗ്രഹം  ചെയ്തു ജയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാന്‍

 

Yetham unarvode  bharathan thaan

Yethu swadharmam nadathi kondaan

Duryodhanaaddi  sathrukkaleyum

Nigraham cheithu  jayichu  kondaan

 

Wth this feeling   Arjuna, also

Understood   and carried  out his dharma

He  killed   all  enemies  like

Duryodhana and others   and got victory

 

ഒന്നു ശ്രമം ചെയ്തനേരം ദൈവം

നന്നായ് സഹായിച്ചു പൂർണ്ണനാക്കി

എങ്ങു യോഗേശ്വരൻ കൃഷ്ണനുണ്ടോ

എങ്ങു ധനുർദ്ധരന്‍ പാർത്ഥനുണ്ടോ

 

Onnu   sramam   cheitha  neram  deivam

Nannayi sahayichu  poornan aakki

Yengu  yogeswaran  Krishnan undo

Yengu  dhanurdharan  Paarthanundo

 

At the   time  when you put  the effort

God  helped him  and made  him complete

Where Krishna   the god  of Yogas  is there

Where   Arjuna   the great  expert on bow   and arrow is there

 

അങ്ങു വിജയശ്രീ  മംഗളങ്ങൾ

തങ്ങുന്നീ മന്ത്രം ജപിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ

ശ്രീ മദ് ഭഗവാന്റെ ഗീത വേഗം

ലേശം വിടാതെ പഠിച്ചു കൊൾവിൻ

 

Angu  vijaya   sree  mangalangal

Thangunnu , yee  manthram  japichu  kolvin

Sri BHagawande  Gita vegam

Lesam   vidaathe  padichu  kolvin

 

There  victory, prosperity   and all that is good

Remains, Please  chant  this manthra

Speedily  please learn  , Gita of God

Without  leaving   even a bit

 

ഗീത പഠിക്കുന്ന വീട്ടിലെല്ലാം

ശ്രീദേവി വന്നു വിളങ്ങിക്കാണാം

ഗീതാ പാഠം ചൊല്ലി കേട്ടുവെന്നാൽ

ബോധമുണ്ടായിടും വൃക്ഷങ്ങൾക്കും

 

Gita  padikkunna  veettil  yellam

Sree  devi vannu   vilangi  kaanaam

Gita  padam cholli   kettu  venal

Bodham  undaayidum   vrikshangalkkum

 

In all the  homes   where  Gita is read

You can see  goddess  of prosperity  shining

If   we hear Gita  when   some one tells it

Conciousness will  arise  even for trees

 

 

സർവ്വചരാചരങ്ങൾക്കതിനായ്

സർവത്ര മംഗളം വന്നിടട്ടെ ...

 

SArva  chara acharangallku  athinai

Sarvathra  mangalam vannidatte

 

Let for all being  which move or  which are stable,

Let  auspiciousness   come  every where
