Kana  Pathinayiram   kankal  Vendum (tamil)

1.Kama pathinayiram   kankal vendum,

Kanchi guru nadharin   dinasari poojayai,

We need ten thousand   eyes to see  ,

The daily worship   of the great Guru of Kanchi.

2.Velliyinaal pooja mandapam   amaithu,

Swarnathinaal athil  oonjalai

Chandana meruvil   sakthiyai   azhaithu  ,

Chandra mouleeswararai  pakkathil  vaippathai

After making   a  Pooja  Mantap  made of silver ,

And inside  after making a golden   swing  ,

After callind SAkthi in to the Sandalwood meru,

And keeping Chandara mouleeswara   near it.

3.Vedathim  oliyudan  vediyar  koottam,

Padathai naadi  vantha  bhaktharkal  kootam,

Sivamulla  deivamum  sivakkolam  kondu  .

Paal abhishekathai   paangudan seivathai

The crowd of Brahmins  along with chanting  sound of Vedas,

The  crowd  of devotees   which keep seeking the God’s feet  ,

And when  the peaceful sage   taking   the form of Lord Shiva,

Does  anointing   with milk  in a proper  manner.

4.Manikkam vairam  marakatham izhaithu  ,

Pudamitta  ponnaal  bhooshanangal  pooti,

Manjal kumkumam , manamulla  malarkal ,

Akshathai  kondu archikkum   azhagai 

Decorating  with  ruby  , diamond   and emeralds  ,

Making  the God wear   ornaments of pure gold  ,

And when   he  offers worship with Akshathai  ,

Turmeric  , Kumkum   and  sweet smelling flowers.

5.Vilwathaal archanai  , vedathin pinnani  ,

Kuvalayam katthida  kumkumam archanai  ,

SArkarai  pongalum  pala vidha  annamum,

Vidha  vidhamai  annaikku alippathai .

Worship with Vilva leaves  with vedic chants  in the back ground,

Then worship    with kumkumam so that  the earth is protected,

And when SAkkarai pongal and different rices  ,

Are offered to mother  in different , different manner

6.Theengai yellam   aallaya deepathin adukkukal,

Karpoora aarathi, mangala   deepangal  ,

Om , Om yendru  manikal  olithida,

Sangathin naadame  bhoom bhoom yenpathai

All divine hands holding stacks of temple lamps  ,

The camphor  light offering , auspicious  lightsd ,

And with bells   making   sounds  “om”, “Om”,

And the sound of conches sounding bhoom, bhoom.

7.Thamarai kayyil;   thanga kudam eduthu,

Chamaram veesida  , Rama  gaanam muzhangida  ,

Manikka  veenayai  maadevi vaasithu,

Mathavin  madiyil  panivudan vaippathai.

Lifting with his lotus like hands  , the  golden lamps  ,

Fanning with fan made of deer hairs  , With song of name of Rama  Echoing,

With great   goddess  playing in Emerald Veena ,

And keeping it with humility in the lap of the mother

8.Pradakshinam cheithu  poojayai  mudithu  ,

Dhyanathil  aazhndhu   than mayam aagi ,

Than nalam maranthu  pirar nalam  naadi  ,

DEivathai  deivame vanangidum kolathai

After  circling  , completing the worship ,

Deeply  meditating and drowning within  himself ,

Forgetting his comforts, desiring  good of others,

The form of  the God himself  saluting the God.
