( The great  comedian, the  one  is considered  as the greatest  writer  of  comedy  , once  wrote  this very spiritual poem and  read  it before  The great  writer  Sujatha  (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/vallamai/qBwjPC0V5w0/kF40ExSfR9AJ )

But  when I read it in Tamil , I felt  some one  other  than  The  Crazy Mohan was joking, for  what  I read  was  a spiritual  masterpiece. My humble  Namaskarams  to the  great soul  called  by mistake  “crazy”. He  was  indeed “Crazy  about God”

பால் குடத்தை நோக்கிப் படையெடுக்கும் எறும்புகளாய்

தோல் குடத்தைத் தொத்த வரும் தீவீர வியாதியெலாம்

மால் படுத்த அரங்கன் மணிவண்ணன் பேர் சொல்ல

வால் சுருட்டிக் கொள்ளுமாமே ,பெருமாளே சரிதானே….(1)

Paal  kudathai   nokki  padayedukkum   yerumbukalaai,

Thol kudathai   thotha  varum  theevira  vyadhikal yellam,

Maal padutha  arangan  , mani vanaan   per cholla,

Vaal  churutti  kollumaame  perumale?

All the ants    which    are marching towards   the  pot of milk,

And all the serious    diseases which come to affect  the  Skin pot(body)

When we chant   the name of Lord Ranganatha who is lying down,

It seems would fold  their tails , is it not,Oh Lord?

நாய் வால் நிமிர்த்தலுக்கு இணையான நாற்பதிலே

நோய்வாய் கிடந்து வளைந்த நேரத்தில்

தாய்போல் தேற்றி தூக்கி நிறுத்த வல்ல

மாயா ஜால மருந்தாமே பெருமாளே சரிதானே….(2)

Naai  vaal  nimirthalukku   inayaana  naarpathile  ,

Noi vaai  kidanthu   Valaintha  nerathil,

Thai pol  thethi   thooki   nirutha valla,

Maya  Jaala  marunthaame  , Perumale  Sari thane?

In the age of forty which is equal to straightening  Dog’s tail,

When we   are  laid down  with sickness,

It seems  , Your name is The  mysterious  magical   remedy,

Which is capable of consoling us and lift us like  mother, Oh Lord  , is it right?

கானல்நீர் இளமைக் காலம் கண்சிமிட்டும் நேரம்

கூனல் முதுகில் முதுமை மூப்பு மூட்டை பாரம்

நாணல் யமுனா நதி நாதன் திருநாமம்

பூணல் பொலிவாமே பெருமாளே சரிதானே….(3)

Kanal neer  ilamai kala,  kan chimittum neram,

Koonal muthukil  , muthumai   mooppu   moottai bharam,

NaaNal  Yamunaa nadhi naadhan   Thiru namam,

Poonal polivvame  , Perumale   , sari thane

When the eyes  lashes  at The mirage of youth,

When the hunch back is like a  heavy  bundle of weight  at old age,

The name  of  the Lord  of  the very  shy Yamuna river ,

It seems gives  the luster  of a Brahmin, Oh Lord , Is it right?

முயலாமை கதையாக முடிகின்ற வாழ்க்கையின்

இயலாமை தன்னை இளமையிலே உணர்ந்து

செயலாவையும் ஸ்ரீரங்கனுக் களித்தால்

பயமில்லையாமே பெருமாளே சரிதானே….(4)

Muyallamai   kadhayaaka   mudikindra  Vaazhkkayin,

Iyalaamai    thannai  , ilamayile  unarnthu,

Cheyalaamayum  Sri Ranganukku   alithaal,

Bhayamillyaame  Perumaale  , Sari thane

Understanding in the youth  our inability  ,

Leading   to the ending  of our  life  filled  with “Not trying”,

And also   our  “not doing” , if we give  all this   to Lord Ranga,

Oh Lord , it seems there  is no fear, Is it right?

கள் ஒழுகு மலர் தேடி கருவண்டு மொய்ப்பது போல்

உள் ஒழுகும் உணர்வுக்கு ஓடிவரும் ஒப்பில்லா

கள்ளழகன் கார்வண்ணன் காகுத்தன் கண்ணனென்று

தெள்ளமுதப் பிரபந்தம் சொல் பெருமாளே சரிதானே….(5)

Kal ozhugu  malar   thedi  karu vandu  moippathu pol,

Ul ozhugum   unarvukku   odi varum oppilaa,

Kallazhagan , kaar vannan  , kakuthan , kannan yendru,

THellamutha   prabandham   perumale  , sari thane

Like the black bees crowding   round the  flowers  dripping with honey,

For the   devotion which flows  inside us,comes running the matchless,

Kallazhakar  who is  of the colour of cloud  , The kakustha  , the Lord Krishna,

Says  the extremely clear  Prabhandha , Oh Lord  , is it right?

சிலந்திதன் வலையில் சிக்கிடும் பூச்சியாய்

புலன்கள் ஐம்பொறி புகுந்து புலம்பாமல்

நலம்தரும் நாராயணன் நாமம் சொன்னால்

பலன் பரம் பதமாமே பெருமாளே சரிதானே….(6)

Silandhi than valayil   chikkidum poochiyaai,

Pulangal   iympori   pugundhu  pulambaamal,

Nalam tharum Narayanan namam chonnal ,

Palan Parama  padhmaame, permale  , sari thane?

Like an insect   getting caught  in the net of a  spider,

When Our  senses  get caught in  the net of five emotions leading us to complain,

If we say name of Narayana , good will happen,

And the result is salvation , Oh lord, is it right

பத்தியம் இல்லாத பகாசுர வாழ்க்கையை

சத்தியம் என்றெண்ணி சஞ்சலம் அடைவோர்

நித்திய கல்யாண வைபவன் அருளால்

முத்தி அடைவாராமே பெருமாளே சரிதானே….(7)

Pathiyam illaa  Bhakasura  Vaazhkkai ,

Sathiyam yendru yenni  Chanchalam adaivor ,

Nithiya kalyana  Vaibhavan  arulaal,

Muthi adaivaaraame  , perumale sari thaana

Those thinking  that the  uncontrolled   Bhakasura life,

Is the truth   and getting worried by that ,

It seems would   get salvation   by the grace of,

The Nithya  Kalyana  Vaibhava, oh Lord  , is it true?

இல்லாததை இருப்பதென்று எண்ணிக் குவித்து

செல்லாத இவ்வாழ்வை செலவழிக்க முயலாமல்

மல்லாண்ட மணிவண்ணன் மலர்பதம் பற்றினால்

எல்லாமும் தெளிவாமே பெருமாளே சரிதானே….(8)

Yillathathai   Iruppathendru   yenni  kuvithu,

Chellatha   yivazhvai  , chelavazhikka   muyalaamal,

Mallanda  mani vannan    malar  Padham  pathinaal,

Yellamum thelivaame  , Perumale  , Sari thaana?

Thinking that “That which is not there”   exists,

Not trying to spend  this life which is  valueless,

If we   catch hold of  the flower like feet of   the lord who is lying down,

It seems everything   would be clear, Oh Lord  , is it right?
