Om asya  Sri Rahu stotra  maha manthrasya  , Vamadeva  Rishi  , Anushtup Chanda  , Rahur devatha , Mama rahu graham prasada  sidhyarthe   Jape Viniyoga

 

To the great chant  of Rahu Stotra, the sage is Vamadeva, meter is anushtup, God addressed is Rahu , For getting the blessings of Rahu  , I am chanting this

 

Dhyanam

 

1.Pranamami sadhaa Rahum  sarpaakaaram kireetinam

Saimhikeyam  karalasyaam  , Bakthanam Abhaya  pradham

 

I always salute Rahu, who has serpent like crown

Who is son off Simhika, who is black  and who grants protection to devotees

 

2.Rahum Chathurbujam Charma shoola   gadga varangitham

Krishna malyambaradaram , Krishnanandaanulepanam

 

Rahu who has four hands holding skin  , spear, sword and handle of knife

Who wears black garland   and applies black paste  all over

 

3.Gomedhaka Vibhoosham   cha vichithra makutanwitham

Krishna simha radham  merum yaantham  chaivaa pradakshinam

 

He who wears Cat’s stone as ornament and has peculiar crown

He rides on black lion chariot, and goes   round  Meru mountain

 

Kashyapa  Uvacha

Saga  Kashyapa says

 

1.Srunvanthu Munaya  sarva Rahu preethi karam sthavam

Sarva roga prasamanam   Visha bheethiharam param

 

All sages  please hear a prayer  which is dear to rahu,

Which cures all diseases and also cures fear for  poison

 

2.Sarva sampathkaram   chaiva guhyam yethadh anuthamam

Aadahrena   pravakshyaamisaavadhana  bhavanthu cha

 

That which grants all  type of weath, secretand which is incomparable

I am telling it with respect and that will make  it  slow

 

3.Rahu  Surya  ripuschaiva visha jwali bhayanana

Sudhamsu vairi shyamathmaVishnu charkankitho bali

 

Rahu who is enemy of Sun Godand has fearful  flame of poison

He is enemy of Nectar, is a black person  and was cut by Vishnu’s Chakra

 

4,Bhujangesa  theeshna damshtra kroora karma  grahadhipa

Dwadasaithani namani nithyam bakthi yukthascha padeth

 

He is god of snakes,has very sharp teeth  and a planet   who does  cruel deeds

Please daily chant   twelve  of his names

 

5.Japthwathu prathimaam chaiva seesajaam maasha  susthithaam

Neela  Gandhakshathai pushpai Bakthya sampoojya   yathnatha

 

Chanting before his statue , sitting on red lead  black seat properly

Try to offer with devotion  blue  sandal rice 

 

6,Vidhninaa vahnimaadhaaya   durvaa anna   aajya   aahuthi kramaath

Than manthrenaiva juhuyath   yavadh ashtotharam   satham

 

After raising fire as per rules offer  durva grass, and ghee  in that order,

Chanting   the mathra  one hundred and eight  times

 

7.Huthvaivam sradhayaa   Rahum prarthayedh graha nayakam

Sarvaapadh vinivruthya artha prajwali pranatho nara

 

With attention chanting   and  praying Rahu the chief of planets

To avoid all dangers and shine with weath   and then man should salute

 

8.  Raho karala vadana,  Ravi Chandra Bhayankara

Thamoroopa namasthubhyam  Prasadam kuru sarvadhaa

 

Rahu who has black face  who is fearful to Sun as well as moon

Who has dark formI salute and request him to be always pleased with me

 

9.Simhika sutha sooyari, sidha gandharva  poojitha

Simha vaha namasthunhyam Sarvan rogan nivaraya

 

The son of Simhika, enemy of sun, who is worshipped by Sidhas  and Gandharwas,.

Who rides on a ion, I salute and pray to destroy all diseases

 

10.Krupaana phalakaa hasthaa , trisoolin vara dhayaka

Garalaathi garaalasya gadhanme naasayaakhilam

 

He who holds blade of knife in his hand , Who holds trident and is a boon giver

Please put an end to poisonous effect  of  poison

 

11.Samprathayaivam   Grahesam  tham stotram  ya prayatha padeth

Rahu  preetha manasthasya kashta sthana gathobhivaa

 

When the chief  of  plnet is prayed  by this prayer by reading it solemly

Rahu with a pleased mind would go away from trouble some places

 

12.Vishaanna janithaam  bheethim  na karothi kadhachana

Sarvaan  kaamaan vaapnothi, nashta rajyam  upaithi cha

 

Never create in me the fear   arising out  of poison,

Let all my deeds succeed and all that I lost be returned

 

13.rahu  prrethi karanodha stotranena sarvadhaa

DSthuthwaa grahesam  swarbhanum  sarvaan kaanvapnuyaath

 

By chanting always this prayer   which pleases Rahu

And praying the god planet who is enemy of Sun all our wishes would be fulfilled

 

12.Yevam anudhinam sthavaraja menam  Rahu  prasanna hridayam , vijithendriyo ya

Aarogya maayusha vaapya mano radhaan Jejeeyathe cha vishamascha  graham prasanna

 

By daily praying this prayer  Rahu would be pleased and we will win over our organs

Get great  health and life span, Get fulfilled All our wishes and win over  trouble some planets and make them pleased
