बाल समय रबि भक्षि लियो तब तीनहूँ लोक भयो अँधियारो |
ताहि सों त्रास भयो जग को यह संकट काहु सों जात न टारो ||

देवन आनि करी बिनती तब छाँड़ि दियो रबि कष्ट निवारो |
को नहिं जानत है जग में कपि संकटमोचन नाम तिहारो || 1 ||

 

Baal  samay Rabhi  bhakshi  liyo than theenahun lok bhayo andhiyaro,

Thahi  saom  thraas bhayo jag ko   yah   sankat   kaahu   som  jaath  na taro

DEvan aani  kari   bhinthi   thab   chandi   dhiyo   rabhi   kasht  nivaro

Ko  nahi  jaanath  hai   jag main kapi sankat  mochan naam  thiharo.1

 

In your childhood you took away the sun, and three  worlds got scared

And this fear of darkness   spread   all over  the world and no one  had solution to it

Then  the Gods came   and prayed  to you and then you  left hold on Sun

And  no one knows in the world knows when you got name  “ He who frees uus from sorrows”

 

संसार में ऐसा कौन है जो आपके संकटमोचन नाम को नहीं जानता।

बालि की त्रास कपीस बसै गिरि जात महाप्रभु पंथ निहारो |
चौंकि महा मुनि साप दियो तब चाहिय कौन बिचार बिचारो ||

कै द्विज रूप लिवाय महाप्रभु सो तुम दास के सोक निवारो | को० – 2 ||

 

SAmsar mein aisa  kaun hai jo   aapke   sankat mochan naam ko nahi jaanthaa

Baali ki thraas kapees basai   giri jaath  Maha Prabhu  Panth  nihaaro

Chouki  maha muni   saap   dhiyo thab chahiy kaun  vichar  vicharo

Kai  dwij  roop  livaaya maha prabhu   so thum  das ke sankat  nivaro

 

In this entire world who is there  who does not know   your name Sankat  mochan(He who frees us from sorrows)

Due  to fear of Bali monkeys went  and lived in new hill  and one day they saw the great  lord coming their way

And he thought   that since Bali cannot come there  due to sages curse and so Sugreeva wanted to know who he is

And Hanuman took form of Brahmin  met great lord and he requested him to destroy sorrow of servent

 

संसार में ऐसा कौन है जो आपके संकटमोचन नाम को नहीं जानता। 

अंगद के सँग लेन गए सिय खोज कपीस यह बैन उचारो |
जीवत ना बचिहौ हम सो जु बिना सुधि लाए इहाँ पगु धारो ||

हेरी थके तट सिंधु सबै तब लाय सिया-सुधि प्राण उबारो | को० – 3 ||

Angadh  ke sangh  len gaye siya  khoj  japis  yah bain ucharo

Jeevith  naa  bacheehou hum so   ju binaa sudhee laaye ihan pagu  dharo

Heri  dhake   sindhu   sabai  thab  lay siyaa   sudhee  praan  ubharo  3

 

In This entire who is there  who does not know   your name as Sankat mochan

Along with angadha, you were sent to search Sita and you were  told

That those who come back without    tracing Sita   would get  killed

And when sitting tired on banks of ocean, you only,  brought news of Sita living

 

संसार में ऐसा कौन है जो आपके संकटमोचन नाम को नहीं जानता।

रावन त्रास दई सिय को सब राक्षसि सों कहि सोक निवारो |
ताहि समय हनुमान महाप्रभु जाय महा रजनीचर मारो ||

चाहत सीय असोक सों आगि सु दै प्रभु मुद्रिका सोक निवारो | को० – 4 ||

Ravan  thrass  dhayi   siya  ke  sab Rakshasi  Som  Kahin sok  nivaro

Thaahi samay Hanuman Maha prabhu  Jaay  Maha rajani char  maaro

Chahath   Seeya  Asok  Son AAgi  su  dai  prabhu  Mudhrika  Sok nivaro  4

 

In This entire who is there  who does not know   your name as Sankat mochan

The  Sita was troubled by rakshasis due to words of Ravan,  Sita wanted to take her life

At that time the great lord Hanuman went   and saw Sita was sitting in Asoka forest,

Due to troubles  by Rakshasis  and wanted to die, Hanuman gave her  signet ring and  took away her sorrow

 

संसार में ऐसा कौन है जो आपके संकटमोचन नाम को नहीं जानता।

बान लग्यो उर लछिमन के तब प्रान तजे सुत रावन मारो |
लै गृह बैद्य सुषेन समेत तबै गिरि द्रोण सु बीर उपारो ||

आनि सजीवन हाथ दई तब लछिमन के तुम प्रान उबारो | को० – 5 ||

Baan lagyo  ur lachiman ke  thab  pran thaje  suth  Ravan Maaro

Lie  graham  vaidyya  sushen  sameth  thabai  Giri   drom su  beer uparo

AAni   sajeevan haath  dayee  thab  lacheeman ke  thum pran   ubharo  5

 

In This entire world who is there  who does not know   your name as Sankat mochan

The son of Ravana  , sent an arrow   and  took away the life  of Lakshmana.

Then you brought the doctor of Lanka   sushena  along with his home, and he   said,

Bring the  DRona mountain and took sanjeevini herb  and you thus saved   the life of Lakshmana

 

संसार में ऐसा कौन है जो आपके संकटमोचन नाम को नहीं जानता।

रावन जुद्ध अजान कियो तब नाग कि फाँस सबै सिर डारो |
श्रीरघुनाथ समेत सबै दल मोह भयो यह संकट भारो ||

आनि खगेस तबै हनुमान जु बंधन काटि सुत्रास निवारो | को० – 6 ||

Ravan judh ajaan kiyo  thab  nag ki  phaans sabai    sir   daaro

Sri   Raghu  nadha   samedh   sabai dal  moh bhayo yah sankat  bharo

AAnee  khages thabai  Hanuman  ju bandhan kaati suthraas  nivaro.6

 

In This entire world who is there  who does not know   your name as Sankat mochan

Ravana came to the war and he tied   every one  using  Naaga pasa(serpent arrow)

And including  lord Rama   every one fell swooned and everywhere  sorrow got  filled

And Hanuman made  Garuda  come  and made every one wake up and  removed   the sorrow

 

संसार में ऐसा कौन है जो आपके संकटमोचन नाम को नहीं जानता।

बंधु समेत जबै अहिरावन लै रघुनाथ पताल सिधारो |
देबिहिं पूजि भली बिधि सों बलि देउ सबै मिलि मंत्र बिचारो ||

जाय सहाय भयो तब ही अहिरावन सैन्य समेत संहारो | को० – 7 ||

Bandhu sameth   jabai   ahiravan   lie  raghunadh pathal sidhharo

DEbihin   pooji   bali   bidhi so bali   devu sabai mili manthra  vicharo

Jaai   sahai   bhayo   thab hi Ahiravan  sainya  sameth samhaaro 7

 

In This entire world who is there  who does not know   your name as Sankat mochan

When Ahiravan Took  away  Rama along   with his friends  to Patala

And  he was  preparing  to give all  of them to give in sacrifice

And you helped them all  and killed   Ahiravan along with his army

संसार में ऐसा कौन है जो आपके संकटमोचन नाम को नहीं जानता।

काज किये बड़ देवन के तुम बीर महाप्रभु देखि बिचारो |
कौन सो संकट मोर गरीब को जो तुमसे नहिं जात है टारो ||

बेगि हरो हनुमान महाप्रभु जो कछु संकट होय हमारो | को० – 8 ||

Kaaj kiye   bad  devan ke  thum  beer  maha prabhu  dekhi bicharo

Kaun so   sankat mor garibh ko jo   thumse   nahin   jaath hai  taro

Bhogi haro Hanuman Maha prabhu jo  kachu   sankat  hoi hamaro

 

In This entire world who is there  who does not know   your name as Sankat mochan,

Recollect all devas    who have   done help and think  about great  lord Hanuman

And which is the great  sorrow of this poor man that  you have  not removed,

And oh great lord Hanuman, please come quickly     and destroy all my sorrows

 

दोहा –
लाल देह लाली लसे, अरु धरि लाल लँगूर |
बज्र देह दानव दलन, जय जय जय कपि सूर ||

 

Doha

Laal deh   laali  lase , aroo   dhari   laal  langur

Vajra deh dhanav dalan, jai jai jai  kapi soor

Your  red body and red Sindhur is greatly shining

Your diamond hard body  kills asuras  , Hail , hail, hail , The monkey   hero

|| संकटमोचन हनुमान अष्टक सम्पूर्ण ||
