முத்தும் பவழமும் மரகத பச்சையும்

நீலமும் சிகப்பும்  கோமேதகமும்

மின்னிடும் வைரமும் வைடூரியமும் 

நவரத்தினத்தில் மின்னிடும் ஹாரமும்

பள பள பள வென ஜொலிக்கும் அட்டிகையும்

 கல கல கலவென குலுங்கிடும் வளைகளும்

நவமணி மாலையும் பொன்மணி நகையும்

உன் புன்னகைக்கு ஈடாமோ? முருகா

பரம்குன்றம் திருகுமரா ! 

 

 Muthum  pavizhavum, Marakatha pachayum

Neelamum  Chikappum, Gomedhakavum

Minnidum  Vairamum , vai=duryamum

Nava  Rathinathil  minnidum haaramum

Pa;a, pala, Pala vena jolikkum addikayum

Kala Kala Kals vena  kulungidum valaikalum

Nava mani maalayum , pon mani nagayum

Un punnagaikku  eedaakumo?  Murukaa

Param kundram  THirukkumaraa

 

Oh Lord  Muruga,Oh  Kumara  of Thirupara  kundram,

Whether  pearls , corals  , the green emeralds

The   shining diamonds   and Vaidooryas

The  garland shining  in Navarathnas(nine gems)

The  necklace   that throws   great luster,

The bangles which produce pleasant sound while shaking

The nine gem chain and  ornaments  of gold and gems

Would  be equal to your soft  smile                                                         1

 

பாலும்  கற்கண்டும் சர்க்கரை பாகும்

கட்டி கரும்பும் கனி ரஸ சாரும்

தேனில் ஊறி தித்திக்கும்   பலாவும்

நாவில் உறும் அறுசுவை உணவும்

கற்பூர வாழையும் அத்தி கனியும்

 கொய்த கனிகளும் கொய்யா கனியும்

 த்ராக்ஷை பேரீச்சை மாதுளம்கனியும்

தேமாங்கனியும் தேவம்ருதமும்

உந்தன் பஞ்சாம்ருதத்திற்கு ஈடாமோ? முருகா ..

Katti karumbum , kani rasa  chaarum

THenil  oori  thithikkum  palaavum

Naavil urum aru suvai unavum

Karpoora  Vaazhayum  , athi kamiyum

Drakshai  pereechai  maadulam kaniyum

THemaankaniyum  devamruthavum

Unthan panchamrithathirkku  eedaamo? MUrukaa

Oh Muruga, the divine  lord of Pazhani  mountain,

Whether  , milk, sugar candies. Sugar syrup

The sweet jack fruit which stands  dipped in honey,

The food with  six tastes that is put on the toungue

The  camphor  banana, the fruit of fig,

The  harvested fruits, the guava  fruits

The  fruits of grape , dates and pomegranate

The sweet  mango fruit and nectar of devas

Would be equal  to your panchamrutham?

 

 குழலின் ஓசையும் யாழின்  இசையும்

தும்புரு நாதமும்  மதுர ஸங்கீதமும்

சலங்கை ஒளியும் சங்கின் முழக்கமும் 

தாலாட்டு நயமும் கோலாட்ட நயமும்

பச்சைக் கிளியின் கொச்சை மொழியும்

கூ கூ கூ எனும் குயிலின் கீதமும்

கண கண  கணவெனும் மணியின் நாதமும்

 பால் மனம் கமழும் மழலை மொழியும்

உந்தன் கனிமொழிக்கு ஈடாமோ?  முருகா !

THumburu  naadhavum , madhura sangeethamum

SAlangai oliyum  , sangin muzhakkavum

THaalaattu  naysmum , kolatta nayamum

Pachai kiliyin  kochai  mozhiyum

Koo, koo, koo  yenum kuyilin geethamum

Kana, kana, kana  venum maniyin naadhavum

Paal manam kamazhum mazhalai  mozhiyum

Undhan  kani  mozhikku eedaamo? Murukaa

Swami malai  THirukkumaraa

 

Oh Muruga  , the  divine lad of Swami Malai,

Whether  sound of flute, the  music from yaazh,

The tone of Thumburu, the sweet  music,

The  sound of anklets, the boom of conches.

The diplomacy of lullaby  , the  sweet sound of garbha,

The   lisping toungue  of the   green bbird,

The sound  of sweet   sounding bells,

And the  baby  lingua, smelling  of  milk,

Would be   equal  to your  sweet  talk

அலைகடல் அழகும் பனி மலைத் தொடரும்

 பாயும்  நதியும் வீழும் அருவியும்

கதிரவன் ஒளியும் நீள்மதி நிலவும்

 சிலு சிலு ஊற்றும் சல சல ஓடையும்

பூத்துக் குலுங்கும்  வண்ண மலர்களும்

மழையும் குளிரும் தென்றல் காற்றும்

பனித் துளி படர்ந்த   பசும் பூச்சோலையும்

 நெஞ்சத்தை அள்ளும் வான்முகிலும்

 உந்தன் பேரழகிற்கு ஈடாமோ? முருகா!

Kadhiravan  oliyum, neel mathi  nilavum

Chilu chilu oothrum, sala sala odayum

Poothu kulungum vana  malarkalum

Mazhayum  kulirum, thendral kaathrum

Pani thuli padarntha  pasum  poocholayum

Nenjathai  alum  vaan mukilum

Undhan perazhakirkku  eedaamo? Murukaa

THiruthanikai  THirukkumaraa

 

Oh Muruga , the divine  lad of Thiruthani,

Would  the beauty  of ocean with waves,and  that of row of snowy  mountains,

The flowing river  ,the falling streams,

The light of Sun,The long light  of moon,

 The cool , cool springs, the streams making  sound,

The  coloured   flowers  , floering in plenty

The rain, the cold , the  southern breeze

The  green garden  covered  with drips of snow,

And the cloud of the sky  that steals our heart

Equal to your   great beauty

 

4   பச்சிலை மூலிகை சித்தர்கள் வைத்தியம்

நாடியில் சொல்லும் சித்தர்கள் வைத்தியம்

தங்க பவழ பஸ்மம்  தின்று

காயகல்பம் உண்பார் சிலரும்

தேடி  அலைந்து திரிவார் பலரும்

சித்தர்கள் வித்தர்கள் அருமருந்தாகிர

 இருந்தும் தீரா  நோய் தீர்க்கும்

உந்தன்  திருநீறுக் கீடாமோ? முருகா !

திருச்செந்தூர் திருக்குமாரா !    

 

Pachilai  moolikai  sidharkal  vaithiyam

Naadiyil sollum  sidharkal  vaithiyam

Thanga  pavazhs  basmam thindru

Kaya kalpam  unbar  chilarum

Thedi alainthu thirivaar palarum

Sidharkal  , vitharka;  arumarunthakira

Irunthum  theeraa  noi theerkkum

UNdhan thiru neerkku  eedaakumo? Murukaa

THiru chendhur  Thiru kumaraa

 

Oh Muruga  , Oh divine lad of  THiruchendur,

The sidha treatment  using green leaves,

The sidha treatment as told in the naadi

Some people   eat the ash of gold and coral

To   get   to become   young again,

And to the   rare  medicines of Sidhas

AS well as  experts  , would all these,

Be equal to  your divine ash,

Which cures  incurable   diseases                                              5

 

அரண்மனை வாழ்வும் அரச போகமும்

அறுசுவை உணவும் அரியாசனமும்

ஆயிரம் கோடி காசோடு பணமும்

அயர்ந்துறங்க பஞ்சு மெத்தையும்

மனைவி மக்களும் சுகபோக வாழ்வும்

சொந்தமும் பந்தமும் சொத்தும் சுகமும்

சீரும் சிறப்பும் பெரும் புகழும்

நவநிதி இருந்தும் நிம்மதி தரும்

உந்தன் சந்நிதிக்கு ஈடாமோ? முருகா!

பத்துமலை திருக்குமாரா !

Aru suvai  unavum  , ariyaasanamum

AAyiram kodi  kaasodu  panamum

Ayamthu uranga  panju methayum

Manaivi makkaalum, Sukha boga  vaazhvum

Sonthamum bandhamum  , sothum  sukhavum

Cheerum chirappum, pearum pugazhum

Nava nidhi irunthu  nimmathi tharum

Undhan sannidhikku eedaakumaa, Murukaa

Pathu malai  thirukkumaraa  

 

Oh Muruga  , the    divine lad  of pathu malai,

Would life  in palace,, the pleasure of the kings,

Food with   six different tastes, the throne,

Wealth to the tune  of thopusand crores money,

Silk cotton bed   to sleep  deeply

Wife and children , very happy life

Relations and friends, wealth and joy,

Presents and greatness,  the great fame

And  nine type of treasures be equal,

To your  temple   which grants satisfaction                                           6

சஷ்டி கவசமன்றோ?

வேலா எனக்கு வெற்றி தருவது

உன் கை  வேலன்றோ ?

குமரா எந்தன் குறைகளை கேட்பது

உன் இரு செவியன்றோ?

 சரவணா எனக்கு அருளைத் தருவது

உன் திருக்  கரமன்றோ?

கந்தா என்மேல் கருணைப் பொழிவது

உன் இரு விழியன்றோ?

ஷண்முகா எனக்கு ஆறுதல் தருவது

ஆறு முகமன்றோ?

உனது ஆறு முகமன்றோ?

உனது ஆறு முகமன்றோ?

 

Murukaa  yennai kaakum  Kavacham

Sashti  kavachamandro?

Vela  yenakku  vetri tharuvathu

Un kai velandro?

Sarvanaa  yenakku  arulai tharuvathu

Un thirakkaram andro?

Kandha yen mel karunai pozhivathu

Un iru vizhi yandro?

Shanmukaa  Yenakku aaruthal  Tharuvathu,

AAru mukham andro?

Un aaru Mukham andro?

Un aaru mukham andrO?

 

 

Oh Muruga   is not  the armour  which protects me,

Is the   Skanda  Sashti  Kavacham?

Oh Vels  Is not that  which gives victory to me

Is the vel of your hand?

Oh Lad is not that which hears my problems

Your   r two ears?

Oh Saravana , is not the one  which gives me blessing,

Is your   divine hand

Oh Skanda, is that  that which pours mercy,

On me  is your   two eyes?

Oh Shanmuga , is not that  which consoles me
