OM Ajnana  thimirandhasya jana  ajnana  salaakayaa

Chakshoor  unmeelanam deva thasmai sri gurave nama

 

Salutations to guru  who  with his  wand  cured

My blindness  due  to ignorance, by opening my eyes

 

Manthra  Sathyam , pooja  Sathyam , sathyameva  niranjanam

Gurur  vakhyam sadhaa Sathyam, Sathyameva  param padham

 

The  chant is the truth, worship is the truth, Only truth is supreme

The  words of Guru are always  the truth, Truth only is  the  divine  word

 

Akhanda mandalaakaram  vyaptham yena  characharam

Thath  padham darisitham yena  , Thasmai  sri gurave  nama

 

 I salute that Guru , by seeing   his    feet, I am seeing,
The world which is spread everywhere  and  all its beings

 

Pithru mathru suhravabandhu vidhyaa theerthaani devatha

Na  thulyam gurunaam seegram, sparsameva  param padham

 

To  father  mother friend  and  relation knowledge  is the god

There  is no equal to Guru, Touching  itself is the greatest  status

 

Gurur Brahma  . Gurur Vishnu, Gurur  deva  maheswara

Guru  saakshaath param Brahma, Thasmai sri gurvave nama

 

Guru is Brahma, Vishnu and the great Maheswara,
Guru is the real Brahman and so I salute the Guru.

 

Dhyana  moolam guru moorthim , pooja  moolam guru padham

Manthra moolam guru   vakhyam, Moksham  moolam Guru krupaa

 

Through   penance  we can see  body of Guru, Through worship  his feet

Through Manthra   we can hear his words,  Through his mercy  we ger salvation

 

Brahmanandam parama  sukhadham, kevalam jnana moorthim

Dwandhwatheetham  Gagana  sadhrusham thathwam asyavi  lakshyam

Yekamnithyam vimalam achalam sarvadhi  saakshi bhootham

Bhavatheetham  triguna rahitham, sadgurum tham namami

 

I salute my  great Guru, who is immersed in divine bliss, who is divinely happy,

Who is unalloyed wisdom , who is beyond anything that is two,

Who is like a sky , whose aim is “I am that”, who is one, who is forever ,

Who is pure, who is immobile , who is witness for everything,

Who is beyond emotions  and who is beyond the three fold qualities.

Sadhashiva  samarambham, Sankaracharya madhyamam

Asmad  aacharya  paryantham , vandhe  Guru paramparaam

 

Beginning  with Lord Shiva, Adhi sankaracharya  in the middle

Till  my own Guru, I  salute the guru lineage

 

Sruthi  smruthi puranaanaam karunalayam

Namami  bhagawad  padham  SAnkaram  loka sankram

 

The temple of  mercy of  what is heard  and remembered and of the epics

I salute , the Sankara of the feet of God and the Sankara  of the world

 

Sankaram SAnkarachayam kesavam Badharayanam

Suthra bashya kruthou vandhe BHagawanthou puna puna

Lord  Shiva, Adhi Sankara, Lord Vishna  , Guru vyasa

Have  saluted  the god  by  writing  commentary  of the vedas

 

Easwaro  gurur athmethi moorthir bhedha  vibhagine

Vyoma adhvayaptha   dehaya  Dakshinamurthaye  nama

 

Though appearing  to be divided  Lord, the Guru and Self

Sautations  to Dakshinamurthy who is all pervasive like space

Om Poornamadha poornamidham poornath poornamudhachyuthe

Poornasya pornamadhaya poornamevavasishyathe

 

This is the whole , that is the whole, from the  whole  comes the whole

But  removing  whole  from the whole  , only whole will be left

Chant the  following  three  times  with devotion

 

Sri  Krishnaya vasudevaya, Haraye  Parmathmane

Pranatha  klesa Nasaya Govindaya  Namo Nama

 

Oh  Lord Krishna , Vasudeva , Hari , thedivine God

He who destroys  problem lying down , Oh Govinda Salutation and  SAlutation

 

Close  your eyes meditate on Lord Krishna for a few minutes

I  salute  Vishnu who sleeps peacefully on a snake,Who has lotus on his belly,

Lord of all devas, lord  of universe  who is like sky  and is of the   colour  of cloud

The  llord ofvLakshmi, lotus eyed, who enters  the heart of yogis

Who removes fear and is the lord of all the worlds

 

After  this close the eyes, think only of God and sleep

Rama  who is everywhere, the lord  of universe, the  guru of devas, he who destroys illusion in man

I salute  the  one who shows mercy, The one  from Raghu clan, The  gem  among kings

Sathyam Vadhaami cha Bhavaan Akhila  Antharathmaa

Bakthim prayacha Raghu pungava nirbharaam may

I do not wish anything else except  the lord of Clan should be in my heart

I am also telling the truth, Oh Lord  you are  the  soul of the world

Grant me  devotion to you and nothing  else , oh greatest of  Raghu clan

Also  make my mind  devoid  of the evils of passion

Dhanuja vana  krusaanum jnaaneenam  Agraganyam

Raghu pathi Priya baktham vaatha  jatham namami

 

He who is storehouse  incomparable energy, He who has body like  golden mountain

He   who took  the  form of fire  to destroy  the forest of Asuras

He  who is storehouse of all good qualities, The lord  of  all mnkeys

Today I reached the door of Guruvayur temple

With one  fist of beaten rice

 

ഉരുകുമെൻ മാനസം കാണിക്ക വെയ്ക്കുവാൻ

ഇരു കൈയ്യും കൂപ്പി ഞാൻ തൊഴുതു നിന്നു

ഞാൻ തൊഴുതു നിന്നു ...

 

Urugum yen manasam Kaanikka veykkuvaan

Iru kayyum koopi jnan thozhuthu ninnu

Janathozhuthu  ninnu

 

To make  an offering of melting mind

With folded hands I stood saluting

I stood  saluting

 

കറയറ്റ ഭക്തിയാൽ നിറമാല ചാർത്തി

നിറമിഴിയാൽ അഭിഷേകമാടി

 

Karayatha  Bathiyaal niramala  chaarthi

Nira mizhiyaal abhishekamaadi

 

Due  to stainless  devotion , I made  an offering of full  garland

With eyes  full of tears  I annointed
