Ayyappa hare Ayyappa pahi maam

SAbari mamala sasthave  Pahi maam

 

Oh Ayyappa, Oh Ayyappa  , protct me

Oh Sastha  of sabari mountain ,protect me

 

1.Athalenye  dharaniyil ulloru

Marthyanmar  okkeyum , ayyane  koopuvaan,

Koottamode  erumeliyil chennittu

Petta kondadi  Ayyappa  Pahi maam

 

Without exception  all  human beings

Of the earth  , to salute  Lord Ayyappa

As  crowd reach  Erumeli,

And celebrated  Petta dance, Oh Ayyappa  protect me

 

2.Aarthmodham  vasichu  pular kaale

KOtta vathil kadannu nadannu poi,

Theerthamaam perur thottil kulichu  udan

Paarthaale  nadannayyappa  , pahi maam

 

After living there  with sound and joy, early morning,

They crossed the door  of the fort, walked  further

And after  taking bath  in sacred waters  of Perur stream,

And looking around  walked , Oh Ayyappa protect me                      

3.Inbamodothu  kala ketti  kada

Nnan binode yazhutha  pukku

Vanpiyalum  azhuthayil snanavum

Kambamenniye  Ayyappa Pahi maam

 

After  crossing  Kala ketti  with ,

Pleasure, with  love they reach Azhutha

They take  bath in  swift flowing  Azhutha,

Without   any  haste, oh Ayyappa  protect me

 

4.Easwara puthranaam ayyane chinthichi-

Ttu  arssayodoru  kallu  meduthudan

AAsu  keruiya  kallidum kunninmel

Vasam  annu avar  , Ayyappa  pahi  maam

 

Thinking  of Ayyappa, the son of Lord shiva

With devotion  they  immediately  take a stone

With urgency  they climb , hill  where  stone  is dropped

And they  lived  there, Oh Ayyappa  protect me

 

5. Ulkanivodu pinne  pular kaale

Vekkamangu   chavitti  karimala

Pokkameriya  kunnum kadannavar

Pukku  pambayilappa  Pahi maam

 

With mind of devotion , early morning

They reach  Karimala   with speed

And after  crossing  the tall  hill

They go to Pambs  , Oh Ayyappa protect me

 

6.OOzhi thannil  prasidhamaam pambayil,

Snanavum cheithu, sadhya  kazhichudan

Kozha koodaathe  neelimala keri

Vasamenniye  , Ayyappa  Pahi maam

 

In pamba   which is very famous in the world,

They take bath , partake in the feast

And without much effort  they  climb neelimala

Without effort  , Oh Ayyappa   protect me

 

7.Yethrayum vismayamaam guhakal

Kandothu koodi sabari peedathingal

Thathra ninnu Sabariye vandhichu

Bhakthi poorvamai Ayyappa , pahi maam

 

After  seeing many wonderful caves,

You will  reach  Sabari peedam

And standing there  salute saint  Sabari

Along with great devotion , Oh Ayyappa protect me

 

8.Yere  modhaal pathinettu than padi

Keri chennu thozhuthu bhagawane

Maari poannu kudilum chamachudan

Mara thulyanam Ayyappa  , pahi maam

 

After wards  with joy  climbing

The eighteen steps and after  saluting God

Return back  build   a hut,

Oh Ayyappa who is like  Manmatha protect me

 

9.Ayyane ni nachannu vasichudan

Payye  neram pularum   dasanthare

Chovvinodu  thirichu , vadakkottu

Deivamayulloru  Ayyappa pahi maam

 

After living there on that day  Thinking of God Ayyappa,

At the time  of the breaking  of dawn, slowly

Properly retun , Oh Ayyappa,

Who is god of northern direction  , please protect me

 

10.Othu koodiya Kumbalam  thodathil

Badha  modhena snanavum dhanavum

Sadhyayum  kazhichu angume  ponnudan

Pukku ambalathi Ayyappa pahi maam

 

In the kumbalam stream which has  been arranged

With readiness and joy  take bath, give charity

Partake  in the feast, come back,

And enter the temple, Oh Ayyappa protect me

 

11.Ororo janam paarathe  chennittu, angu

AAdharena thozhuthu  bhagawane

Sakthikkotha  vazhi paaadu athokkeyum

Bhakthiyai  Kazhichu  Ayyappa  Pahi maam

 

Without seeing very many people , go with joy,

And  after  saluting the God  with respect

And  do rites  as per  our  capacity

And do it with devotion,  Oh Ayyappa  protect me

 

12.Avvannam  thanne pinne pulakaale

Chovvodemlathanneyunm ammayum

Sarvarum  kadutha  swami thanneyum

Chennu vandhichar  Ayyappa pahi maam

 

Like that on the next day  morning

Properly after saluting the  mountain and mother

Al people should also  they went and

Saluted Kadutha Swami , Oh Ayyappa look after me

 

13.Annu thanne  malayum irangeettu

Vannu lokar  yerumeliyil  parkkunnu

Thingina maala agathenam   yennude

Sankarathmajan Ayyappa  Pahi maam

 

On that samecday , after  getting down from mountain

People   go to Yerumeli   and stay there

Oh Ayyappa  , son of Lord Shiva , please

Remove my dense mala and protect me

 

14.Yingane  sabarimala vaasane,

Chennu  kandu vanangunna  sarvarkkum

Bhakthiyode  ninakkum  janangalkkum

Mukthi nalgenam   Ayyappa  Pahi maam

 

Like this  for all people who after  going

 And seeing  God, who lives in Sabarimalaa

And to all those  people who think about him,

With devotion , please grant salvation, Oh Ayyappa to me
