Sumukha  prathama, swa nama  gayaka  palaka, sevaka  mangala karaka

Kama supooraka , mangala  karaka , thraahi  vinayaka

Bhavika tharaka

 

Firstly  one with pleasant face , he who takes  care of those  who  sing his name,he who does good to  his devotees

He who fulfills desires, he does good, please protect meand  he who  protects  the  future

 

2.Sindhoora  lepaka, modhaka  bhakshaka, durjana  sikshaka, nija jana veekshaka,

Ankusa  Dharaka, jagad  udharaka, loka vidharaka, samhara karaka

 

He who is coated with Sindhur, he who eats Modhaka, he who punishes  bad peoplaand looks at  the good people

He who carries a goad, he who uplifts the world, he who reforms the worls and he  who kills

 

3.Asesha karaka, sakthi vidharaka, mooshaka  vahaka , sura dhara dhahaka

Kalou sutharaka, thwam hi vinayaka, palaka sevaka akhilaa kahaaraka

 

He  who does everything, he who looks after the goddess, he who rides on mouse, he who burns problems of devas

He who reforms kali age, you aredestroyer of obstaclesand one who looks ater  all those who lift  the burden.

 

4.Karuna rasa   sampoorna  kadaksha  amala  veekshane

Yo anugrahaanaathi bhakthansaa prasanna  sumukha  smrutha

 

He who  gives  complete  merciful look and has  a shining look

He who blesses  his devotees and  grants them a pleasing good face

 

5,Ye parithyajya vihitham nishidham pracharanthi they

Vakraa  sthana thundathyesha vakra  thunda  prakeerthitha

 

He gives  up  bad  propagaters  who  advertises  about it

Since  he has a curved  tusk  , he is sung as Vakra  thunda

 

6.Prathamam  mangalayaiva Ganesa  smaryathe budhai,

Sarva  devaarchithathathvatsa, ganesa  prathama smrutha

 

He is remembered  first  as  the auspicious Ganesa

And  he  is worshipped by all devas who think of him first

 

7.Smaranath  nija bhakthaanaam  sarva  vighna nivarya  ya

Kaamaan poorayathi Kshipram  Ganesa kama pooraka

 

If a true devotee  thinks about him , he removes all obstacles

Fulfills their desire speedily, The Gansa  one who fulfills desires

 

8.Nivarya amangalanyaasyu smaranath  Gana  Nayaka

Karothi  mangalanyesha thatho  mangala karaka

 

If Gana nayaka is thought over, he  will  avoid inauspicious things

And does  all auspicious  things and hence he is called the doer of auspiciousness

 

9,Indraadhenaam  thu devaanaam  vividhaa   nayaka  khalu

Na nayako Ganesasya ko apyathosou  Vinayaka

 

Among   the devas  like Indra and different leaders

There is no one equal to Ganesa and so he is called  as Vinayaka
