1.Shivayosthanujayasthu , sritha mandhara saakine
Siki varya thurangaaya, subrahmanyaya mangalam
The son of Lord Shiva, who is worshipped by Mandhara flowers
Who rides on the great peacock, Mangalam to subrahmanya
2.Bhkathaabheeshta pradhaayasthu, bhava roga vinasine
Rajadhi raja vandhyaya , rana dheeraya mangalam
He who fulfills desires of devotees, who destros the disease of fate
And who is worshipped by king of kings, Mangalam to the hero in battle
3.Soora padmaadhi daitheya thamisra kula bhanave
Tharakasura kaalaaya, balakayasthu mangalam
He whjo protects Tharakasura, the sun to the dark clans
The god of death to Tharakasura, mangalam to the boy
4.Valli vadhana rajeeva madhupaaya , mahathmane
Ullasanmani koteera, bhasurayasthu mangalam
The great one who is the bee hovering the lotus like face of Valli.
Who is like crores of gems of enthusiasm , Mangalam to him who shines
5.Kandharpa kodi lavanya, nidhaye kama dhayine
Kulisaayudha hasthaaya, kumarayasthu mangalam
He who has crore times beauty of Manmatha., the treasure who grants desire
He who has thunderbolt in his hand , mangalam to the lad
6.Mukthaa haara lasadh kanda raajaye, mukthi dhayine
Deva sena sameshayaa daivathayathu mangalam
He who is neck is shining due to pearl necklace, he who grants salvation
Mangalam to the God who is with devasena
7.Kanakambara samshobi gadaye , kali haarine
Kamalapathi vandhyaya, karthikreyaya mangalam
He who shines with golden coloured covering , who destroys ill of kali age
Anf one who is saluted by Brahma , Mangalam to karthikeya
8 Sarakanana jaathaaya , sooraaya shubha dhayine,
Sheetha bhanu samasyaya, sarnyayasthu mangalam
He who was born in bushes of forest,who did good to soora
And who is equal to cool sun Mangalam to one who protects those who surrender
