(This great prayer  is addressed to   The God of Poornathrayeesa  temple  in Tripunithura. Tripunithura is a temple town which is 6 km from Cochin and 20 km from Cochin air port. The palace of the erstwhile king of Cochin is situated in this town. Poornathrayeesa (Lord Vishnu) is the family deity of the cochin kings. The name actually means the “Complete God of the three Vedas”. It could also mean , “Complete God of the holy trinity , Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.”)

 

ഉദിച്ചുയർന്ന സൂര്യനും

കൊതിച്ചു ലജ്ജയാർന്നുടൻ

നമിച്ചിടുന്ന കാന്തിയോലു ,

മാമുഖം ത്രയീശ ഞാൻ,

ഭജിച്ചിടുന്നു നിത്യവും

ഹരേ!രമേശ! പാഹിമാം,

ഇഹത്തിലും പരത്തിലും

ഭവൽപദങ്ങളാശ്രയം....

 

Udhichuyarnna  suryanum

Kothichu , lajjayaarnnudan

Namichidunna kanthiyolum

Mamukham  thrayeesa  jnaan

Bajichidunnu  nithyavum

Hare, Ramesha  Pahi maam

Ihathilum parthilum 

Bhaval padhangal  aasrayam

 

THe sun after rising and going up

Desired very  nuchm became  ashamed

And saluted the  great  face

Oh  THrayeesa and I

Daily  pray  and  sing about him

Oh  Hari , oh God  of Lakshmi, protect me

In this world and in heaven

Your feet is my protection

 

ജ്വലിച്ചിടും കിരീടവും

കിരീടി കണ്ട രൂപവും

ഭജിച്ച് നിത്യമീശ്വരാ

ഭവൽപ്പദങ്ങൾ ചേരുവാൻ,

കൊതിച്ചിടുന്നനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ

നൽകണേ ദയാനിധേ!!

എനിക്ക് മാറ്റൊരാശ്രയം

ജഗത്തിലില്ല ശ്രീഹരേ !!.

 

Jwalichidum  kireedavum

Kireedi  kanda  roopavum

Bajichu  nithyam easwaraa

Bhavath padangal  cheruvaan

Kodichidunnen m anugrahangal 

Nalkane, dhayanidhe
Yenikku  mathoru  asrayam

Jagathil  illa  , Sri  Hare

 

The shining  crown,

The  form which was  seen by arjuna

Oh god   I daily  sang  and prayed,

So that I will merge  with your feet

I am greatly desiring for it, please  grant

Blessings, Oh  treasure  of mercy

Oh  Hari, I do not have

Any other help  in this world

 

അടഞ്ഞകൺക

ളൊന്നുനീ തുറന്നു

നോക്കുകേഴഞാൻ

ദഹിച്ചിടുന്നനാദിയായ

ജന്മവ്യാധി ഹേതുവായ്...

ലഭിച്ച ജന്മപുഷ്പമാല

ചാർത്തി ഞാൻ ഭജിച്ചിടാം

എനിയ്ക്കു മറ്റൊരാശ്രയം

ജഗത്തിലില്ല ശ്രീഹരേ!!!

Nokkuka , yezha janaan

Dahichidunnen, anadhiyaya,

Janma  vyadhi   hethuvai

Labhicha  janma  pushpa  mala

Charthi  jnan bajichidaam

Yenikku mathoru  aasrayam

Jagathil  illa  , Sri Hare

 

You please  once   open

Your closed  eyes,

And seeme , I am poor

And due  to the beginning less

Sickness of birth , I am burning

I am making you weal  the,

Garland  of birth , which I got

Oh  Hari, I do not have

Any other help  in this world

 

ത്രയീശ്വരാ!!കൃപാനിധേ!!

ജഗത്സുരന്റെസൂനുവെ

ത്രൈയിച്ചൊരീശ്വരാ!ഹരേ!

ജഗന്നിവാസപാഹിമാം..

 

THrayeeswaraa , kripaa nidhe

Jagath  surande  soonuve

Trayichor easwara , hare,

Jagan nivasa  pahi maam

Oh triple god, treasure of mercy

Oh Son of Gods of the universe

Oh God who is triple, oh Hari

Oh Lord who lives in the earth, protect me

 

അറിഞ്ഞതില്ല മാർഗ്ഗമേതു ,

മെത്തി മുക്തി നേടുവാൻ ,

പവിത്രമായ മോക്ഷദം

ഭവൽപദങ്ങൾ ഈശ്വരാ...

 

Arinjadhilla  , margamethum

Yethi  mukthi  neduvaan

Pavithramaaya  mokshadham 

Bhaval padhangal easwara

 

I did not know  , any paths

And I have reached to get salvation

The very  holy  salvation,

Is your feet  , Oh god

 

ബ്രഹ്മവിഷ്ണുരുദ്രരാം

ത്രയങ്ങൾ ഒന്ന് ചേർന്നതായ്

ബ്രഹ്മരൂപമായ്

ജഗത്തിലീശ്വരൻ ത്രയീശനായ്!!

 

Brahma  Vishnu  rudraraam

Thrayangal  onnu chernnathai

Brahma  roopamayi

Jagathil   easwaran   thrayeesanaayi

 

The forms of Brahma , Vishnu  and Rudra,

Which were  three became  one

And became  the form of Brahmam

And god in this world became  THrayeesa(triple God)

 

പൂർണ്ണ ബ്രഹ്മ രൂപമായ്

ഫണീന്ദ്രതല്പശായിയായ്

ബ്രഹ്മനിദ്രചെയ്തിടുന്ന

വേദസാരമേ തൊഴാം !!.

 

Poorna  brahma  roopamaayi

Phaneendra  thalpa  saayiyai

Brahma nidhra  cheithidunna

Veda  saarame   thozhaam

 

He became  the complete form of Brahmam

And started  lying on bed of king of snakes

Oh Essence of Vedas  who  is  doing,

Sleep of Brahman, I   am saluting you

 

പൂർണ്ണവേദരൂപനായ്

ത്രയിപുരിയ്ക്കുനാഥനായ്

പൂർണ്ണമോദമോടിരുന്നു

വാണിടും സനാതനൻ!!

പുണ്യപൂർണ്ണമായ കാഴ്ച്ച

കണ്ടു മുക്തി നേടുവാൻ..

കണ്ണുകൾക്ക് വന്ന

ഭാഗ്യമെത്രധന്യമീശ്വരാ!!

Thrayi purikku   nadhanai

Poorna  modhamodirunnu

Vanidum sanathanan

Punya  poornamaaya  kazhcha

Kandu  mukthi neduvan

Kannukalkku   vanna

Bhaghyam yethra  dhanyam  easwaraa

 

Having the  complete  form of Vedas

Becoming lord of the triple  city

Sitting   with    complete  joy,

The beginning less  ones  lives.

To get salvation after  seeing

The divine complete  one

Oh god what  great  luck  happens

To my   eyes

 

പൂർണ്ണദേവ!! മൽപ്രഭോ

ഭവത്പദങ്ങൾ ചേർന്നു ഞാൻ ,

ജീവമുക്തനായ് ഭവിച്ചു

സാന്ദ്രമോദമാർന്നിടാം....

 

Poorna devaa, Mal prabho

Bhavath  padangal  chernnu  jnaan

Jeevanmuthanayi   bhavichu

SAndhra modham  aarnidaam

 

Oh complete God, My lord

I am joininh  your  feet

I am have got salvation, while being alive

Let us wish to enjoy the  intense joy

 

വേദപൂർണ്ണനാം ഭവാന്റെ

മോക്ഷപാദമെത്തിടാൻ

യോഗമായമാറ്റ -

മങ്ങനുഗ്രഹിച്ച്നൽകണേ.

 

Veda poornanaam  bhavaande,

Moksha padham  yetheedaan

Yogamaayi matham

Angu  anugrahichu nalkane

 

To reach  the salvation feet

Of you who  is God filled with Vedas

Let   Yogamaya   bless me

As a  change  of  mood
