Maha Vishnu  Sthuthi

Prayer   addressed  to Maha Vishnu

ധരണിതൻ പരിപാലനലക്ഷ്യമായ്

വിരവൊടേ പല രൂപമെടുത്തുടൻ

 സരളമായവ തീർത്തു സുശാന്തനായ്

മരുവുമീശ്വര ! മാമകവന്ദനം .

 

Darani than paripalana  lakshyamai

Viravode   pala roopam   yeduthudan

Saralamaayava Theerthu   sushanthanai

Maruvum  Easwara, Mamaka  vandhanam

 

With the aim  of  looking after  the earth

Taking  very  many forms and immediately

And completing the   easy  ones, Oh Good

Who  is with perfect peace, My      salutations

 

വിരലിനൊത്തു വലുപ്പമെഴും ഝഷം

ഗിരി വഹിച്ചൊരു കച്ഛപമായ് സ്വയം

ധരയുയർത്തിയതാമൊരു  ഘോണിയായ്

പരമഭക്തനു നീ നരസിംഹമായ് .

 

Viralinothu   valuppam    yezhum  jjasham

Giri vahichoru  kachapamayi  swayam

Dhara   uyarthiyathaam   oru  Ghoniyai

Parama Bakthannu  nee  narasimhamaayi

 

A fish which was   as big   as a  finger,

Became  a turtle   which lifted   the mountan

A became a boar which  lifted  the earth

And to a great  devotee  you became a man lion

 

വരപദാലുലകങ്ങളളന്നു പി -

ന്നൊരു ശിരസ്സിലമർത്തിയ വാമനൻ,

അരികളാം നൃപതീകുലനാശകൻ

പരശുരാമനുമെൻനമനം ശതം.

 

Varapadhaal  ulakangal  allunnu

Pinnoru  sirassil  amarthiya vaamanan

Arikalaam  nrupathi kula nasakan

Parasu ramanum  yen manam   satham

 

By his blessed  feet  he measured   the worlds

And Vamana who  with the other feet pressed  on his head

Parasurama   the destroyer  of  clan of  his enemies

The destroyer of clans  of kings

 

സ്ഥിരതയാർന്ന രഘൂത്തമനും ചിരം

കരിയെടുത്ത ഹലായുധനും ഭവാൻ.

പരിചൊടേ മദമേറിയ മാനുഷർ -

ക്കരിയ മുക്തിയതേകിയ കൃഷ്ണനായ്.

 

Sthiratha aarnna   raghoothamanum  chiram

Kariyedutha   Halayudhanum    bhavan

Parichode  madham yeriya   manushyarkku

Ariya   mukthi yathekiya Krishnanai

 

The  great one of Raghu clan who had stability and

Balarama  who lifted  the plough for some time and you

Who became  Krishna   who gave   rare  salvation

To Men  became  proud  along  with relation

 

സദയമത്തിരുഗാഥകളൊക്കെയും

കദനമാറ്റിടുവാൻ നലമൗഷധം.

മദമകന്ന വിനീതമനസ്കയെൻ

ഹൃദയവാടിയിലായവയെത്തണേ

 

Sadhayam  athiru  gadhakal  okkeyum

Kadhana matheeduvaan   nalam aushadham

Madham akannu Vineetha   manaska  yen

Hrudaya  vaatiyil Ava  yethane

 

All these  gentle   divine  stories are good  ,

Medicines   for  removing  destruction

And let  my pride go away  and  I get  humility

And let  these stories  reach my  mind
