താരകനാമസുരനെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ

മാരവൈരീസുതനായ് പിറന്നോനേ,

പാരിതിലിന്റെ ദുഃഖമശേഷവും

വേരോടെ നശിപ്പിച്ചു തരേണമേ

 

Tharakanaam asurane  kolluvaan

Maara  vairi   suthanaai  pirannone

Paarithil yende dukham aseshavum

Verode  nasippichu tharename

 

To kill the asura called Tharaka,

The one who was born  as son of Shiva( enemy  of Manmatha)

Please completely  uproot and destroy,

All my  sorrows in this world

 

ശക്തികയ്യിൽ ധരിച്ച കുമാരക!

ശക്തിയില്ല ഭവാനെ പുകഴ്ത്തുവാൻ

ഭക്തി നിന്നിൽ തരേണമേയന്ത്യത്തിൽ

മുക്തി നൽകിയനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണമേ

 

Sakthi kayyil  daricha  kumaraka

Sakthiyilla  bhagawane  pugazhthuvaan

Bakthi  ninnil   tharename   , anthyathil

Mukthi nalki  anugrahikkaname

 

Oh Lad who holds  the sakthi weapon  in his hand

I do not have strength to praise  you, oh God

Make me give my devotion to you at the end

Please grant  salvation  and  bless me

 

കൃത്തികകൾ തൻ സ്തന്യം നുകർന്നൊരു

കാർത്തികേയ! മഹാദേവനന്ദന!

ആർത്തികൂടാതെ ഞങ്ങളെ നിത്യവും

കാത്തുകൊള്ളണേ കാരുണ്യ വാരിധേ!

 

Krithikakal  than sthanyam  nukarnnoru

Kathikeya Maha deva  Nandana

AArthi  koodaathe  jnangale nithyavum

Kathu lollane  , Karunya   vaaridhe

 

Oh Karthikeya who tasted  mlk  from Karthika maidens

Oh son  of Mahadeva (Shiva)

Oh ocean  of mercy   do  protect us,

Daily without  huge  desire

 

നീലകണ്ഠമാം വാഹനമേറിടും

നീലകണ്ഠപ്രിയപുത്ര!കൈതൊഴാം

മാലകറ്റിത്തുണയ്ക്കുവാനെൻ മുമ്പിൽ

കാലം വൈകാതെ വന്നണഞ്ഞീടണേ

 

Neela kantamaam vaahanam yeridum

Neela kanda  priya  puthra  Kai  thozhaam

Maalakathi   thunakkuvan   yen  mumbil

Kaalam   vaikidaathe  vannu  anamjidene

 

I salute  the dear son of  Blue necked  Lord Shiva

Who rides  on the  blue necked  steed(peacock)

To remove  blemishes  in me and to help me

Without  delaying please  come  and join me

 

ഫാലദേശത്തിൽ ഭൂതിയും,രുദ്രാക്ഷ–

മാല മാറിലും ചേർത്തു കൊണ്ടങ്ങനെ

വേലും കയ്യിലെടുത്തു പിടിച്ചൊരു

കോലമെന്നുമഭയമരുളണേ

 

Phala desathil bhoothiyum  Rudraksha

Maala  Maarilum  cherthu  kondangane

Velum  kayyil  yeduthu pidichoru

Kolam  yennum  abhayam   arulene

 

Sacred  ash  on his forehead, Rudraksha

Bead garland  on his chest, JOinig these

Holding   the  Vel  in his hand

Let  that  form always  protect me

 

ദേവസേനാപതേ! സുരവന്ദിത!

പാർവ്വതിപുത്ര!താരകനാശന!

ശർവ്വനന്ദന!ദൈത്യകുലാരാതേ!

സർവ്വലോകേശ!പാലിച്ചുകൊള്ളുക

Parvathi puthra  , Tharaka nasana

Sarva  nandana , daithya  kulaarathe

Sarva  lokesa  , Paalichu kolluka

 

Oh Commander  of Deva amy , Oh Lord  saluted by devas

Oh Son  of Parvathi , Oh  killer  of Tharaka

Oh  son of Shiva  , Oh destroyer of families  of asuras

Oh Lord  of all the world, please  look after  me

 

കുക്കുടധ്വജ!കൃത്തികാനന്ദന!

സൽഗുണാബ്ധേ!ഗജാനനസോദര!

എപ്പോഴും നിന്റെ നാമമുരിയാടാൻ

കെല്പു നൽകണേ ശൂരപത്മാന്തക!,,

 

Kukkuda  dwaja , Kruthikaa  Nandanaa

Sathgunabdhe, Gajanana sodhara

Yeppozhum  ninde  namam  uriyaadaan

Kelpu  nalkane  , Soorpadhmaanthaka

 

Oh Lord with cock in flag, Oh Son of Kruthika

Oh Lord with  ocean of  good qualities, Oh Brother  of Ganesa

For chanting  your name  always

Grant  me capability , Oh killer  of soora padhma

 

ക്രൗഞ്ചപർവ്വതം തന്നിൽ മരുവിടും

പഞ്ചവക്ത്രതനയ!ഷഡാനന

പഞ്ചപാപങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ

നെഞ്ചകമുരുകിക്കൊണ്ടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചേൻ

 

Krouncha  parvatham thannil  maruvidum

Pancha  vakthra  thanaya  , shadaananaa

Pancha  papangalil ninnu  rakshippan

Nenjakam  uruki  kondu  prarthichen

 

Oh  six faced  one  who is  son of five faced one

Who lives   on Krouncha  mountains

To protect me  from five type of sins

I prayed  with  my heart  melting
