Thedivarum  kannukali
(in the eyes  that  are searching) (Malayalam Bhajan)

Translated by

Thedivarum kannukalil , odi yethum swami,
Thiruvilakkin  kathiroliyil  koodiyirikkum swami.
Vaadi veezhum poovukali  thuyil  unarthum swami
Velli mani sri kovil; vaanarulum  swami
Ayyappa swami  , Abhayam  Ayyappa swami

Oh God  who runs and enters  the eyes that search you,
The god who merges in the luster  of the  divine lamp,
The god who wakes from sleep the flowers  that fade  and fall,
The god who lives in the sanctum with  silver bell,
Oh God  Ayyappa, protection, God  Ayyappa

Kallu mala, mullu mala, malakal  chavutti-ullil,
Villadichaan  paattum paadi, kiliye   unarthi,
Kannu neerum kayyumai, jnan  yivide  yethi,
Yennum kaatharulga, varam arulga, kai vanangunnen,
Ayyappa   Swami   Abhayam  Ayyappa swami

Stepping on Mountain of stones, mountain of thorns and ,
Singing inside the song with twang of bow, I woke up  the parrot,
And I reached  here   with  lots  of tears,
Always protect me, grant  me boons, I salute  you with folded hands,
Oh God  Ayyappa, protection, God  Ayyappa

Vishnuvum nee  , Shivanum nee, sri Muruganum nee,
Parasakthiyum nee, Budhanum nee  Ayyappa  Swami,
Kaalavum nee, prakruthiyum nee, Karanavum nee,
Yennum kaatharulga, varam arulga, kai vanangunnen,
Ayyappa   Swami   Abhayam  Ayyappa swami

You are  Vishnu , You are Shiva , You are Muruga,
You are O Parasakthi and you are Budha, Oh God Ayyappa,
You are time, you are nature and  you are the cause,
Always protect me, grant  me boons, I salute  you with folded hands,
Oh God  Ayyappa, protection, God  Ayyappa

Neetti nilkkum kaikalil nee nidhi   tharille,
Yende veettil  oru  kochu anujanayi   koode  varille,
AAththu nothu jnangal varum nin thiruvadiyil,
Yennum kaatharulga, varam arulga, kai vanangunnen,
Ayyappa   Swami   Abhayam  Ayyappa swami

Wont you hand over treasure  in my extended hands,
Would you come as a small younger  brother   along  with me to my home,
After waiting  and doing penance, we will come near your divine feet,
Always protect me, grant  me boons, I salute  you with folded hands,
Oh God  Ayyappa, protection, God  Ayyappa
