അമ്പലപ്പുഴനടയിൽ

ഞാൻ തൊഴുതുനിൽക്കുമ്പോൾ

അമ്പരക്കുന്നു ഇന്നും ഇതമ്പാടിയാണോ

ഗോകുലമാണോ വൃന്ദാവനമാണോ അതോ ദ്വാരകാപുരിയാണോ

 

Ambalapuzha  nadayil

Jnan thozhuthu  nilkkumbol

Ambarakkunnu innum , Ithu Ambadiyaano

Gokulam aano , Vrindavanam  aano, atho Dwaraka puri aano

 

When I am saluting and standing

At  the sanctum  of Ambala Puzha

I am wondering whether  it is the place where  they tie cows

Whether  it is Gokula  or Vrindavam  or whether  it is dwaraka

 

നറുവെണ്ണ മണക്കുന്ന നടയിലും വഴിയിലും

ഉറതൈരു കടയുന്ന സ്വരമുയരുന്നു

പാൽക്കുടമേന്തി വരുന്നവർ കണ്ണാ നിൻ കളിത്തോഴിമാരാണോ

അതോ ഗോപാലാ ബാലരാണോ

 

Naru venna  manakkunna  nadayilum vazhiyilum

Ura  thairu   kadayunna   swaram uyarunnu

Paal  kudam yenthi varunnavar, kanna , nin kali  thozhimaar aano

Atho  gopala  balanmaarano

 

In the gate  and path which  smells of fresh butter

The sound  of churning  the curd  rises  up

Oh Krishna those  who carry  pot of milk and coming , , are  they your girl friends  who play

Or  are  they   the  gopa  boys

 

അഴകോടെയിന്നും കൃഷ്ണാ നിന്നെ

മുഴുക്കാപ്പ് ചാർത്തിയതാരാണ്

മേൽശാന്തിയാണോ ഗോപികമാരാണോ

അമ്മ യശോദയാണോ അതോ പ്രിയസഖി രാധികയാണോ

 

Azhakode  innum Krishna nee

Muzhu kaappu   charthiyathu  aaraanu

Mel  santhiyaano, gopikamaarano

Amma yasodhayano, Atho  priya sakhi Radhikayaano

 

Today also  with prettiness  ohkrishna

Who has  completely decorated  you

Is it  the chief priest or  is it the Gopis

Or  is it mother Yasodha or is it  your dear  friend  Radhika
